so the controller has an all in one effects knob with two control knobs and a trigger button, what if I wanted to turn on more than one effect at once, ie i'm filtering the track and I wanna throw an echo in there as well (at the same time) is it possible with decent advanced mappings ?!

@hrenthor Get a Hecules DJ Console RMX. It's more well built than the Mixtrack. It's all metal and has more options in terms of in and out ports. It's the same price as the mix track pro and uses virtual DJ as well.

@ProgressionFilms The RMX is well build but the delay is way to much. This controller is oke for someone who want's to get a bit into djing, it's cheap and that is what it is you pay for what you get. I would reccomend saving up for some traktor controllers.

For some reason my Mixtrack Pro doesn't have ''hot cues'', instead it has ''EQ kill'' have any idea why. I've looked all over youtube and in each video not a single DJ with Mixtrack pro have ''EQ kill'' (please look at @232588andrew 's comment). Do you have any Idea why my controller is unique? Also, i only have three effects on my controller: Flanger, Reverb and Delay. I know @4strokeh8er asked the same question but I didn't really get the answer. @EtiennePendleTV The Mixtrack has EQ kills and the Mixtrack Pro has cue buttons, but you can map cues to the kills in Virtual DJ or Traktor.

@EtiennePendleTV Possibly, do you have main outputs and headphone output on your mixtrack pro? If so, then it could just be labeled weird on the EQ kills. You can change their function in the software if you want to use them as Hot Cues. Let me know and I hope this helps!

@4strokeh8er You can upgrade to Traktor Pro if you want more effects, but if you're on VDJ you probably have to wait until they have an upgrade.

@iloveEllaskins, if you meant the mixtrack pro or the mixdeck, then the mixdeck wins, due to it being 1) better looking and better built 2) ipod functionality which allows it to be used as a midilog controller, but if you meant the mixtrack and the mixtrack pro then the pro is better due to it having better outputs, and it having a built in sound card and you wouldn't have to use an external one. In order, of price and quality combined it goes: Mixdeck, Mixtrack Pro and mixtrack. Hope this helps

@Mastaskilla if your looking for something to put your laptop on? like above, you could use a music stand, and put it so that it is flat and it also has the little "lip" so that it does not fall off easily. Also most have adjustable tripod style legs so you can make sure that it is sturdy.

hey there i need help with my mixtrack pro which i use with traktor le (audio 6 sound card). when i load a track in deck A and B my cross faders and the channel faders doesn't work but my external mixer for controlling the sound volume works (crossfaders and channel faders) my set up is that the output of the interface goes to the line 1 and 2 on the external mixer and the input of the interface goes to the output of the mixtrack pro. pls help me :(

I wish, in addition to your tutorial, you would give the product some sort of user rating e.g. stars, a chart with criteria and checks for features or even just a price vs function bottom line in the form of a number or something.
