the late great Jim Thurman, the man was a truly underrated voice actor. Not many are aware of all the work he did on Square One TV and Sesame Street. He will be missed.
Man, this sesame street sketch used to scare me when I was little, especially that announcers voice in the beginning: "Ladies and Gentleman, the Teeny litte super guy"... (shudders) still creeps me out to this day
WOAH! Every single word of that song came back to me word perfect after a hiatus of 22 years! What a dude. makes todays' animations seem seriously sterile and boring...I love how he dances!!!
this is the type of obscure stuff that make you bow your head in respect to youtube.. and the connection it's given the world.. not just to different places and people but time as well.. amazing
As I'm sitting here at my grandparent's house watching this video for some epic nostalgia, I remembered my grandma actually has that same exact bottle in the bathroom, right now. Stuff's probably older than I am XD
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING THIS UP. I was at work today and for some reason the theme song to this just hit me out of the blue. THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE!! you can see all your childhood memories on here.
Wonder how they got away with placing that there. Product placement constitutes advertising, and this was on PBS, where that sort of thing was a big no-no. There was no "enhanced underwriting" at that time.
wow, I miss the awesome tv of the eighties. teeny little super guy is way more awesome than the crap I've seen on sesame street post-2000. that show taught me how to read before I started school.
i remember in kindergarden in art class the whole class had to paint and design on paper cups and i tried to draw TLSG but it came out horrible... LOL
This one was bizarrely sampled in the track "Get Better" by Manchester band New Fast Automatic Daffodils. That's what hanging around all day at home does for you.
Hehe - thanks for posting this segment of TLSG - I always remember it for the 'What's the capital of South Dakota?' and Eugene's answer, 'It's Pierre'...and how TLSG didn't know it himself. LOL!
As a kid I had a dream about TLSG. He was dancing normaly at the end but he was stuck on one part like a scratched record and kept doing the same part over and over again! Good thing it was just a dream!
OH YEAH!!! This is the greatest, was tryingto find out where this was from for ages. One question tho, how did they make the cups phase through the countertops and stuff? It's amazing!
