  • I remember this as a kid. I used to love this. It brings back memories

  • OMG, I remember this guy!! Gosh, stuff like this really brings me back to my childhood. I wish I could live it all over again.

  • I always loved this as a kid. I thought the cup concept was interesting and I liked his voice.

  • I am convinced that whoever voiced "Toad" in "Frog and Toad" also voiced this little guy.

  • No, that was Hal Smith. And Teeny Little Superguy is Jim Thurman. I do see what you mean, though.

  • He sounds like that Red Green guy on Helium

  • the late great Jim Thurman, the man was a truly underrated voice actor. Not many are aware of all the work he did on Square One TV and Sesame Street. He will be missed.

  • I used to hate this as a kid... Now I'm 25 and addicted it it LOL.

  • Teenie little super guy!!! ahhhhH!! this is awesome....the thing we used to watch as kids....Sesame Street is not the same now tho

  • oh man i loved this stuff back in the day.

  • Why is that little cup talking about getting married, having kids, and paying a mortgage?! LOL!

  • Lol I loved this bit as a kid, so awesome to see it again

  • Cute.

  • wow, what memories. I never really understood it back then, but i can remember bits of it clearly. Thanks for posting man!

  • Lay off the tiny cigarettes, Teeny Little Super Guy.

  • LMAOOO

  • ahahahaha

  • the kid even pronounced "Pierre" as SD-natives do. Impressive!

  • This was always one of my favorite segments on Sesame Street. Man, Imagine how hard this was to animate!!!

  • Lol I remember this! Brings back lots of memories. Lol I use to look for him in my cabinets at my house!

  • why are they on cups?!?!?!?!

  • That guy on the cup is actually my cousin Kyle.

  • ?what? lol

  • You're a drawing on a cup?

  • the kitchen reminds me of our old house in my old home town Fresno California

  • That kitchen reminds me of my grandmother's old kitchen lol

  • the kitchen always used to remind me of my grandma's kitchen as well!

  • This was one of my favorite sketches when I was little.

    Is that Jerry Nelson?

  • teeny little super guy!! wow, i had forgotten about this one until i start watching...goodtimes and good memories...:)

  • Man, this sesame street sketch used to scare me when I was little, especially that announcers voice in the beginning: "Ladies and Gentleman, the Teeny litte super guy"... (shudders) still creeps me out to this day

  • Man I had to be about 4! I love going back! I am at the computer yelling out, "Eighties Baby ova here!" I love this ol' school stuff. Classic!

  • WOAH! Every single word of that song came back to me word perfect after a hiatus of 22 years! What a dude. makes todays' animations seem seriously sterile and boring...I love how he dances!!!

  • Yea.

You can't take a hero for his size

I'm just a Teeny LittleSuper Guy! Oh yeah!

  • You can't tell a hero by his size. I'm just a teeny-little super guy...ohhhhh yeah!!!

  • Wow, This video brings back memories. I loved this part of the show.

  • oh my gosh, i'd completely forgot about this dude, lol. thanks for sharing, hehe.

  • this is the type of obscure stuff that make you bow your head in respect to youtube.. and the connection it's given the world.. not just to different places and people but time as well.. amazing

  • wow!! i loved it when they swam in the sink! i use to make my cups swim in the sink after watchng this XD

  • 3:11-1:16... very old Oil of Olay bottle!!!

Forget how classic this stop animation short is... look at the retro bottle!!

  • As I'm sitting here at my grandparent's house watching this video for some epic nostalgia, I remembered my grandma actually has that same exact bottle in the bathroom, right now. Stuff's probably older than I am XD

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING THIS UP. I was at work today and for some reason the theme song to this just hit me out of the blue. THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE!! you can see all your childhood memories on here.

  • i totaly forgot about this one. i use to look foward to watch this clip every time the show came on.

  • I really admire how much work must've gone into doing this. I wonder how they stop-motioned a cup going in and out of objects so smoothely!

  • the OHHHH YEAAAAA! at the end.. i still do that from time to time lol now i remmeber why i do...

    V'ZeuLKiD

  • Oh my god! Memories! I swear, this was my favorite cartoon off of Sesame Street! I always danced and sung this song whenever he came on!

  • I used to look for him in our plastic cups. Wow, thanks for the memory!

  • talk about an old school stop motion video..... i loved this when i was a kid

  • Goddamn Sesame Street was awesome.

  • old ass oil of olay bottle..my mom used to put that on her face.lol

  • Wonder how they got away with placing that there. Product placement constitutes advertising, and this was on PBS, where that sort of thing was a big no-no. There was no "enhanced underwriting" at that time.

  • i love tlsg - if only kids had sesame street today... i'm sure the world would be a better place

  • Its still on! I make mine watch it every day :)

  • Yeah... But it's not nor ever will be the same as from this time..... ohh... memories.

  • no, they'd still be communists

  • oh my god, he's awesome

  • Why is the teeny little super guy friends with so many little kids..?

  • He protects them from pedophiles like you.

  • The song at 01:50 used to scare me when I was little! That song almost is like a song from Silent hill or Amityville horror or The exorcist!

  • I just could never work out how he moved the cup he was inside....or why he was floating!

  • ZOMGGGGGGG I had forgotten about this!!!!!

  • wow, I miss the awesome tv of the eighties. teeny little super guy is way more awesome than the crap I've seen on sesame street post-2000. that show taught me how to read before I started school.

can't tell a hero by his size

"i'm just a teeny little super guy"

  • I love teeny little super man. Was totally mesmorized as a kid...Still mesmorized now at 20 yrs old.

  • I love this. It makes me happy.

  • he sounds like Matt Roloff

  • I love how he tap dances!

  • I used to try to find him at my Grandma's house. I thought he lived there.

  • i watched just for the song.

    oooooooh yeaaaaah!!!!

  • i remember in kindergarden in art class the whole class had to paint and design on paper cups and i tried to draw TLSG but it came out horrible... LOL

  • I was always interested by these segments but a little unsure at the same time.. kinda weird and has some dialogue directed more toward adults

    still creative and memorable though

  • I remember this, but it's so strange... hehe

  • I LOVED THIS!!! I have a one year old and Im going to make him a video of all the old school Sesame Street videos. Fucking awesome!!

  • I always used to be scared and intrigued by the teeny little super guy! its funny very few people i know remember him!

  • Man... I haven't watched this since I was 6. Thanks for posting this. *tear*

  • Ditto

  • I remember this segment. I loved it!

  • As a wee one, I was always scared that TLSG was going to rise up from my floor and attack me or something... It was.. yeah.

    Cheers.

    Spike

  • TLSG would never do that...

  • I don't remember this but I remember Sesame Street

  • Teenie Lil Super Guy is my favorite sesame street thing. :D Thanks for showing this. :D

  • Somebody should make a music video of Yoda or Gimli with the intro song.

  • I LOVED Teeny little super guy. The moving cups always intrigued me :)

  • take me back in the day

  • my favorite!

  • Oh my god, i've always remembered this one. Crazy!!!! I wonder why I enjoyed it so...

  • I loved these when I was little!

  • omgosh i just remembered this, i used to love this guy!

  • creepy as hell...

  • Teeny little super guy is the shizzit!!!

  • My brother was so scared of him when he was a kid. His croaky voice is kind of creepy.

  • i use to sing my oldest this song when he was baby...just so cute

  • When I was a kid I used to try to make the cups in my cupboard dance around like him. I love Teeny Little Super Guy!

  • Thanks for posting! I loved him as a kid!

  • OMG!!! I used to love this! Thank you so much for posting this!

  • OMG!!! I forgot about this! These segments were AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for bringing this back to my memory!

  • "A little TEENY...teeny little super guy" haha, too cute

  • Thanks for posting! Classic and awesome.

  • I so wanted a cup like him when I first saw this as a kid lol

  • ohhh yeeaaah!

  • THIS WAS MY FAVORITE!!!!

    Yes!!! Thank you!

  • LOVE IT! the tap dancing kills me.

  • yes! wow.. i remember this

  • Holy crap, it really brings you back.

  • childhood memmories I remeber these memories

  • I noticed the modernization of the skit near the end, with the white products and the cheap phone you can hang up by just putting down on a counter.

  • HE INSIDE ME!?

  • I sing the theme song to this all the time. It drives my boyfriend nuts. ^-^

  • OMG i have been looking for this little guy everywhere. he was one of my childhood favorites!

  • Great

  • has anyone ever wondered why this old mans "friends" where children? lol

  • You'll meet some new crayons...

  • YYYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!

  • Man, these were so awesome. One of my childhood favorites.

  • This one was bizarrely sampled in the track "Get Better" by Manchester band New Fast Automatic Daffodils. That's what hanging around all day at home does for you.

  • I feel old.

  • OMFG! its the Tenny Little Super Guy!! Yahoo!!! Lol O love the teeny little super guy!!!

  • that was phenominal

  • I totally forgot about teeny little super guy until now- thank you!

  • damn painted plastic cups wooow looks great its so cool

  • holy fuck i remember this

  • teeny little super guy! i totally forgot about that dude! hahaha, that's awesome!

  • Hehe - thanks for posting this segment of TLSG - I always remember it for the 'What's the capital of South Dakota?' and Eugene's answer, 'It's Pierre'...and how TLSG didn't know it himself. LOL!

  • I totally forgot about this guy!! Tanks for giving me back my memories haha.

  • As a kid I had a dream about TLSG. He was dancing normaly at the end but he was stuck on one part like a scratched record and kept doing the same part over and over again! Good thing it was just a dream!

  • His voice sounds like the kid from the shining when he's talking about tony the little boy that lives in his mouth. creepy!!!

  • I have got beaten up a lot at school. Good thing I am grown up.

  • Did a school bully pick on you more than anybody else?

  • No there have been lots of people that have picked on me and school bullies have picked on other people besides me.

  • OH YEAH!!! This is the greatest, was tryingto find out where this was from for ages. One question tho, how did they make the cups phase through the countertops and stuff? It's amazing!

  • YES! Sesame Street even did shout-outs to North Dakota!!! I'm one grateful citizen.

  • I LOVED the TLSG. Apparently, no one remembers him. My wife thought I was nuts until she saw this clip.

  • This is one of my favorite TLSG segments! I'm such a nerd..I learned the capital of ND was Bismarck from THIS segment, and never forgot it! Didn't understand what he said for the capital of SD, I had to look that up again :)

  • School was ALWAYS hell for me. The only reason i got past kindergarten is because my teacher bribed me with stickers (i ended up with a very lovely collection-the puffy kind was my favorite). Good for TLSG for telling it like it is! I LoVE you teeny little super guy!!

  • I'm so glad I grew up with these kind of programs. I would hate to be a kid in today's world. To think, I could learn more from a talking cup than any new mindless piece of shit kids show that's on today.

  • "You can't tell a hero from his size, 'You're just a Teeny Little Super Guy!" I love that part!

  • you know what's funny about school in kindergarden nobody cares how one dresses or how one looks or wether or not a person is popular or un popular but when you get to junior high school and high school then everyone starts to care about that stuff

  • "In this one, TLSG reassures his friend that school is an okay place to be. What a lie."

LMAO so true, once you leave elementary, school is a living hell!!

  • yeah especially high school lol

  • Yeah well not anymore since the bullies realize they could have a bullet to their heads now.

  • OH HECK YEAH! LOVE TEENY LITTLE SUPER GUY!!!

He mentioned my state in the segment too!!! And the kid pronounced the capital right (peer)!!!

    "I thought it was Bismarck;"

    -No that's North Dakota!!!

This kid don't need school, haha!

  • TLSG is the best!

  • I liked the way TLSG got jumpy by his own reflection in a mirror at the end of the scene before the end theme played.

  • "It isn't too scary. YIKES!!! Ahem. Just scary enough."

  • But that bottle next to the mirror looks like an Oil of Olay cosmetic bottle to me.

  • The school wasn't scary at all but back in the several years, it was scary for me but I don't know why. Their voices can be heard like robots.

  • Well, kindergarten can be fun. It goes downhill from there!
