@92camarors25 ....I couldn't agree more.....That car sounds angry....If I understand correctly (feel free to correct me if I am wrong)... Tim Beebe provided the exact engine combination in helping with this car....Visit the Dave Wests fabulous website to get the whole story....
ok....thanks-- I have some Kodak products. Good company who has managed to survive and thrive in some mighty tough competition.
Speaking of competition--remember that car when it dominated at Famoso--even got some snapshots somewhere in my stacks and bags of photos. We logged in the southern Sierras in those years, in a 50-mile radius of Lake Isabella. Great timber--it's still there, growing like crazy but the stand(s) are unhealthy due to no management other than catastrophic fires....
@baldrad ...I wish I could tell you, I used a Kodak C 360 point & Shoot Digital camera for the videos I have uploaded. It has always had perfect sound reproduction...In fact, I still it exclusively to shoot video for that very reason.....
Sure is ... the 392 Chrysler hemi was one fine engine way ahead of it's time ... the last T/FD my brother an I ran was powered by the 392 hemi (1967) ... this video is music to my ears, also the slingshot chassis an body style is very similar to what we had.
Great video an audio ... hope you get more of Beebe & Mulligan in the future.
I saw the original car race in the late sixties, and then read a small article in the newspaper about the fatal crash- it said that they tried a new experimental air foil under the car and that caused the crash. Possibly, it got caught on the pavement.
that would of been pete robinsons crash, he was using some kind of airfoil the actually sucked the car to the track like a vaccum this car was destroyed in indy 69' from a clutch explosion while racing ivo
What a nice remake of a very famous AA/FD. never got to see the orignal make a pass, but this makes me really wish I did! Blown FRONT motor diggers FOREVER!!!!!!!
best sounding aa/fd ever

That has to be one of the three most beautiful drag
cars ever. Then the Greer, Black, Prudhomme car, you
can pick the third.

Words and pictures cannot do the car justice. Mr. West is a nice guy & a class act who has "done it right". Glad you enjoyed the video.
