Charice suffered from malnutrition as a child. There was an incident where Charice's dad kidnapped her (Raquel had to call the police). Ricky left Charice(then a toddler) with an uncle who did not feed her. When Charice was returned to Raquel she was woefully thin. She told Raquel she was eating artificial (wax) fruit because she did not know any better. I have to think that besides genetics lack of an adequate diet as a child contributed to her lack of height.

@bornstar20 Yes of course. But a voice is just like any other musical instrument. A Piano can never be appreciated without a pianist who will play and a voice cannot be heard without a song to sing. It's a give and take relationship. In order for the singer to be known, she needs a good song, and for the song to be known it needs a good singer.
