All I am saying is it doesn't really matter. Go to a bass comp and I bet you will see loads of unfinished boxes and builds. Most people who really want to be loud will spend the time trying to get a few extra dB's rather than wraping a box or something. Sure its good to look nice too but it doesn't effect the sound.
