Somehow, I like this version better. We can hear the metal being hammered in the beginning, the Robot getting activated as Robotnik laughs a more sadist laugh, thus making him more epic, and the Robot trying desperately to kill you... THIS is a boss theme. THIS is the definition of Epicness.

This is my favorite boss theme ever! It makes Dr. Robotnik seem truly evil. When I first heard this boss music a couple years ago, I had this sense of impending doom. Than I defeated the boss in 35 seconds... Still, the music really adds to the intensity of the experience.
