  • Everyone search "Too Darn Hot Penn State" to see an amazing collegiate production!! It is seriously one of the best!

  • So I have a question. Not to be racist, but I don't know his name. Is the black man Paul, Fred, or Eddie?

  • Paul

  • ...in the USA, we are stuck on reality dance shows rather than the reality of DANCE TRAINING.......... bravo to the UK Cast!!

  • I know there is a lot of channels now and days but please support Edward R. Murrow and check out our High School production "Kiss Me Kate". Show starts Dec. 7-10. Please stop by our channel ( PCBOXOFFICE ) for more details.

  • "Man, it's too darn hot to be inside"

    "Yeah"

"I know lets do a 10 minute full on dance number to cool us off"

    :P

  • They should have made it a parody 'cause in merry old England, the land of Kate, it's hardly ever too darn hot but lots of time it's too damn wet.

    Ed G

  • This is good, but it's kind of jarring to have "too darn hot" done so up-tempo and energetic, when the theme of the song is enervating heat.

  • I really hated this show, and I never hate anything but this show left me dry as a popcorn fart! BUT, loved this song!

  • damned me exclusively good

  • @ cendrillon325--Could you list some of the cast. I think I'm in love with the main singer/dancer. Brilliant performance!!!

  • @msmach130 The main performer is Nolan Frederick. He has a smallish website, and a very long list of credits!

  • I love this man...

  • This is too darn cute!

  • simply amazing

  • What, no applause?

  • What a great cast, energy and creativity in what seems to be a small area. Glad I found this one today. Thanks for posting - enjoyed watching very much.

  • Oh my! I remember seeing Kiss Me Kate on Broadway in NYC with my father over 10 years ago (I was probably about 6 at the time) and being extremely embarrassed at this scene (or maybe it was another. It included the removal of thigh-high stockings with teeth...). I remember covering my eyes.

  • I've seen this production of Kiss Me Kate on DVD.The whole thing is outstanding.

  • 4:53 This makes me want to learn how to dance... So bad... Does anybody know what this kind of dance that is, by chance?

  • The quality of this video is great!

  • we're singing this song in my school's jazz choir. i'm sooo excited.

  • what a terrible singer....off tune

    great moves tho

  • wow awesome!

  • Are there any other videos from this production?

  • he is amazing

  • That intro sounds like something out of West Side Story

  • MIIIIINT

  • "And the weather is sizzling hot"

  • so 6:22 is amazing!! The way he just slid!!! AAAH!! beautiful

  • Is the full play on Video?

  • @OldGuyNo1 yes in 22 parts

  • wow... PERFECT!

  • wow...PERFECT!

  • Pencil turn on the crate at 5:46 is just lovely.

  • The Dancer at 7:30 and following looks a bit like Hitler..... a bit.... but he does....

  • your guys are great, amazing production, fantastic singing and dancing!

  • AMAZING!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

  • this is awesome, thanks!

  • Oh wow. Broadway and West End's bizarre idea of what Jitterbug and Charleston are aside, this is really fantastic. The choreographer is a genius; that block toward the end was a coup of musicality.

Love this song. Love this production. Two thumbs up if Youtube let me give it more than one!

  • yes i think this sums it up

  • this dancing is phenomonal (sp?)!!!!! loved the costumes & set too

  • Doesn't it strike anyone (no matter how great the dancing is) that all this highly energetic and prolonged exercising is completely at odds with what the song is about?

  • @Orchestra2001 agreed

  • I did this show I few years ago and I am just watching this production for the first time. I find it hilarious how much mine stole from this production. From the choreography to the costume design. It is almost identical. Oh well, If there is any production to copy this is a good one. They are all amazing!

  • not too brag but i honestly think my high school musical cast (bethel park high school) did this song much better. we changed a few things but i feel like the overall product was much better.

  • let me guess you're the choreo, the director or in the cast. These dancers are professional west-end dancer s-doing classic Fosse. The difficulty is SICK...so my guess is: no...your production was not better... these dancers are amazing. HUSH! ENJOY! LEARN!

  • HUZZAH WELL SAID!

  • Mmmmmmmprobably not

  • This was good you know, I had to play paul not that long ago in college :)

  • our school did this exact number the same way and it was AWESOME.

  • Too darn catchy!

  • really nice thanx alot :)

  • amazing!

  • super cool!

  • this is my part in the school musical for the spring this year i'm excited. paul is an awesome part

  • Same! I am so pumped!

  • Bless the West End--did any other Americans catch when he used exactly the wrong baseball gesture to call the upside-down dancer "out"? Otherwise, though, the number's a home run.

  • @thfloreth hey thanks for your comment, it was a bit of choreographic florish that was never fixed, as its me in the video, and a true yankees fan, it's pretty embarrasing i have been teased for ever about this by my friends, giving the safe sign for out, oh the shame of it all, glad you liked the rest of it though.

    Nolan Frederick

  • @thfloreth hahahahah yesss. i'm surprised no one realized that was the gesture for safe.

  • @allliifromcali

I'm a Kiwi and even I knew that it meant safe XD.

  • @thfloreth the west end is respected as one of the two leaders of musical theatre alongside broadway, i could bring up and go on about how bad the english accents in the broadway cast of mary poppins. everything has it's failings i suppose!

  • @thfloreth

Yea, I don't even play baseball and that kinda irritated me a little for some reason :P lol oh well

  • nice

  • I am a man who has never danced except for waltzing in South Pacific as Emile. I am playing Paul in March. I am terrified. Legit.

  • What an incredible performance. Every actor is perfectly in character, playing their parts to perfection.

  • FEB SHOW !!! :D cannot wait heheh

  • Great rendition. Until now I couldn't find a version of this number that I thought lived up to Ann Miller's version, but I think I found one! :)

  • Maybe if they stopped prancing around so much it wouldn't be so hot. J/K

  • lol

  • The main guy is having what I call a dance adrenaline rush. Even though he's tired, he has energy to dance because he enjoys it. (Happens to people who enjoy dancing a lot.)

  • oh that explains it...i was woried i had a tumour growing on my motor function part of my brain and what i was experencing was in fact spasms....but its good to kow im not dying..yet

  • wow. Not denying it, but a little narcissistic, are we?

  • I think I like the Broadway revival's rendition better. This guy lacks gravitas.

  • I saw this on TV a few years ago and was afraid I would never be able to find it again. Thank you so much! And the quality is great as well.

  • OUTSTANDING performance!!!!! Thank you VERY much for sharing this with us!!!!

  • I love it! Wonderful voice and dance!
