  • Or just buy a KWA with a lipo

  • this is paintball

  • @ITRider720 ITS AIRSOFT

  • @ITRider720 your a dumbass

  • Until they can figure out how to get a co2 tank in a buffer tube a nice regulator and expansion chamber in an m4 pistol grip or wherever it may fit, you might a well play paintball

  • what exactly is electropneumatic

  • @seanio1998 paintball internals essentially

  • @seanio1998 It uses an electric control module (aka, trigger and mosfet) with using HPA (high pressure air) stored in a tank; instead of compressing the air by means of a piston and cylinder.

  • Greatest innovation in Airsoft history besides hopup.

  • @bobiana289 I disagree. This thing is way overpriced and really impractical.

  • @tumortim666 I agree with it being overpriced, but so was the computer when it was developed for home use. But how do you say its impractical?

Ps: Thank You for being civil, unlike some other YouTube members.

  • @bobiana289 Do you know what a classic gun is? They were replaced far and wide by AEGs due to simplicity and reliability issues. I think these things are super impractical because you have to lug around some air tank the whole game, which can be hard if you dont have some kind of chest rig.

P.S. You are welcome. Thanks for returning the courtesy.

  • @tumortim666 Yes the air tank could present itself as a problem but, need i speak of paintball. It has many many fans and players even so they have to carry a HPA or Co2 tank.

  • @bobiana289 Kind of a difference, at least to me. Whereas the air tank is rigid, and screws in to a solid metal piece, this uses a hose. With the paintball gun, you have the Co2 under your arm. With an airsoft gun, it dangles if it doesn't have anything to attach to. Also, these guys never really mentioned some key issues. Is it any better than a KWA AEG ($300-$350 less)? How do they work in the cold? Things like that that they shouldn't have ignored.

  • @tumortim666 Some P/B markers use a hose to place the tank in a holster behind the player. Its not so much the reliability of it but the sheer innovation it presents itself as. A gearbox will always wear down regardless of the manu. or quality of the parts in it. A system based off of HPA will essentially never wear. Yes Air temperature will present itself as a minor problem but, according to my knowledge, not a big one. Also Co2 (along with all gas) cools off when expanding.

  • @bobiana289 Super-cooling is your problem though. Plus why is it better than an AEG? I can take apart my KWA and replace every part easily.

  • @tumortim666 Its better than an AEG (in my opinion):

    1) less moving parts (less to break) essentially no wear, Ie: gears, piston

    2) not draining a battery as much, if you have an air compressor you can refill your HPA

3)Able to adjust your FPS with a valve

    4) I think it sounds more realistic.

  • @bobiana289 Ok that's cool. I just don't feel I play enough to justify that. My batteries will be fine for me. Thanks for the civil discussion!

  • @tumortim666 I don't play enough to drop $400.00 on just a gearbox either, but its still (In my mind, a great innovation).

  • Thank you. :)

  • @bobiana289 It's basically a paintball gun that fires BBs.

  • @John234pwns Yup kinda, obviously has a number of different parts and build but yes pretty much it when put short.

  • @bobiana289 but wait, i thought compressed air tanks for these require a lot more pressure than most compressors can put out...

  • @thatghillyguy Yes you are correct, you would need a high pressure air compressor like the ones used to fill SCUBA tanks; not the compressors you can buy at your hardware store.

  • @bobiana289 Yeah i read up on filling them with scuba tanks

  • @bobiana289 like... household compressors can only put out 200 psi max and the hpa tanks go up to 4500psi. idk, maybe i have no idea how all that works

  • @tumortim666 HPA is used because it has a stable bleed of pressure and doesn't cool down like CO2 or propane. And it isn't weather sensitive. Compressed nitrogen is also common. Plus, they're about as simple as actual guns. Many owners don't strip their AEGs - almost all paintballers strip their markers.

  • @bobiana289 i don't think CO2 really has a cool off effect since it goes straight from a gas to solid? i know the canisters get cold, but since CO2 needs really cold temps to change from a gas there wouldn't be a noticeable cool off effect, right?

  • @jabooper The cooling is not caused by the evaporation to a gas in this case, but instead because of the increasing volume of gas with the same amount of energy. The expanding gas, as a whole, has the same amount of energy as the compressed gas, but now the energy is dispersed about more space.

  • @Khoonda88 We're on the same page right? I'm talking about how the gun tends to cycle slower when you go full auto. With CO2 this wouldn't happen since CO2 sublimes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the gas start to condense when you rapid fire it?

  • @jabooper Well, yeah, it does happen with CO2, but it is only noticeable with small containers. The tanks you would for this would retain gas at pressures around

2,000 - 3,000 psi, which maintain a stable output pressure. It would need to be a considerable amount of cooling for it to decrease the rate of fire. This cooling, however, is not from it condensing (can't happen), nor from it being able to skip a liquid state.

  • So unless you play in wheather less than 0def c (freezing point of water, as seen on Co2 tanks when fired) you should be good. Although I'm not a physicist I'm not sure of the compression drop between Co2 and oxygen (plus the impurities in the atmosphere) compared to the temperature drop.

  • @bobiana289 My question is why not, but why?

  • @tumortim666 I would say because, you're turned off by the sight of a hose that's attached to the Compressed air tank but it will run a lot more smoother with it's set up.

  • @tumortim666 can your KWA shoot 250+ feet accurately? Can your kwa be a 600 fps, semi only DMR today, and then a 300fps, 45 rps cqb monster tomorrow? Does your kwa have trigger response that surpasses that of a systema? NO. All of these the polarstar can do. Not to mention it's lack of moving parts means it'll be still running perfect even after a Tokyo Marui breaks down. And about the cold and other issues, polarstar didn't ignore them, you're just too lazy to look it up.

  • @cheetok1ng470 I detect high levels of mad coming from your computer. I was merely stating this seems gimmicky and I will wait until someone else makes a non-m4 one. Also, AEGs dont have to contend with that big-ass air rig. If I wanted to lug around one of those thing I would play paintball.

  • @tumortim666 well you could buy the fusion engine and put it in any v2 gearbox gun...just saying...but ya i agree with you about the air tank; although I have heard it is barely noticeable; atleast compared to lugging around co2 cans for a paintball gun all day.

  • @SNOWSKIJUNKY Got to play against one of those, and while it is nasty, it is too tempermental for my taste. It broke at least twice. Ill wait until it becomes more common/cheaper.

  • @cheetok1ng470 does my KWA cost $600? no, so fuck off.

  • Comment removed

  • Only 21 for that price? Pfft. Weak. :D Nice enough system, but I'll stick to teching AEGs.

  • @CaptainFysh Lol wut? You do know that's just what it shoots out of the box right? You can turn it up to about 30 or so just by flipping a switch. If you know anything about electronics then you can make it shoot 70-100. Also, on the fly change of FPS and ROF, that will never break is a lot better than a million moving parts that can break really easily.

  • @CaptainFysh You can adjust the rate of fire, it'll shoot up to at least 45 rps, it could go faster but no mags will feed.

  • What was he doin with his mouth when he stopped firing? 0_o

  • @ThatChairsofter it looked like he was moving it ? im not a rocket scientist but thats what it looks like. moron

  • @nuclearfish010 Ok if you want to be an asshole about it fine

  • @ThatChairsofter you asked

  • will it loose consistency and power in the cold and after you shoot it too much or is it like an air battery? :D

  • @0mgwtfbbq21 I own one. No it will not loose consistency or power in the cold because high pressure is unaffected by temperature.

  • @btrules So your saying I can throw a bottle of propane in my stove?

  • @r2323r23 Go ahead. Tell me how the explosion goes.

  • They should include a high cap mag with this...

  • @MrSpartan341 most high caps cant keep up

  • @MrMonkekekeMan depends on how you tune it. Out of the box it shoots 20rps, and I know most high caps can still keep up to at least 25rps. If you max it out in stock form at 30rps, you may want to stick with midcaps, but I think most people are not going to turn it up that high.

  • If only this gun had a blowback

  • wait.... paintball co2 powered rifle?..... co2?.... rifle!..... will it blend?

  • if i had an aeg that would shoot 800F like that i would shoot the people in the park behind my house they make too much noise early in the morning

  • @FourtySven and you are the reason why SB798 was proposed

  • @spritegamer

i live in canada and i dont own a weapon

    obviosly

  • @FourtySven You're part of the reason that SB798 may pass. Airsoft is not a toy.

  • @mrreview34

how am i part of the reason i dont even own any toys faggot

  • its a paintball gun in airsoft form! its attached to an air tank... JUST like PAINTBALL. No offence to paintballers but when i started airsoft it was to get away from the paintball tanks. now airsoft is going like paintball and paintball is going towards the real looking weapons... what the heck is going on?

  • that is dirty. in a good way.

  • nice Nerf Kill shirt

  • Who the hell would want to maneuver around with a tank of air on their back? Cool idea but not practical in my view...

  • @TheAirsoftgroup it's 2-3 pounds. It can fit in a mag pouch or in your back pack. You never notice it.

  • @TheAirsoftgroup there are tons of paintballers that do this all the time me included

  • Thays sick its like paintball and airsoft combined but mostly airsoft i like the airsoft guns and bbs but i like the power of co2 and paintball style gearbox or fusion motor

  • thats a pretty sweet idea. it would be really cool to see if polar star could bring it into production, for a reasonable cost.

  • NERF KILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is not revolutionary. i thought if it was pneumatic, maybe it was completely air powered, kinda like g&gs pneumatic blowback system, but the whole firing mechanism is powered by that. that would be too hard though as it would take lots of air. but as i was saying, thats not revolutionary, its actually a dowgrade to airsoft.

  • @futurerev21 Its electronic solenoid so its actually more efficient than any aeg, gbbr, out there. Read up on it and get educated, you'll find that it is quite evolutionary and offers many tangible advantages over an aeg.

  • @btrules Its actually not as bad as you would think. you forget its even there very quickly

  • i want that so bad

  • Vote against Senate Bill 798 in California it aims to make all Airsoft guns clear bodied or or colorful bodied. Stop this bill through facebook or any other way. Save Airsoft

  • Theres Bob lookin like a BOSS

  • could be a nice alternative to lipo?

  • I would love this if it didn't have such a high FPS. Most fields don't allow anything over 400 FPS, so when you have constant 405 and the occasional 450, then you can't use it.

  • @cardfan212 you can change the fps from 315 to 600

  • now thats a powerful gearbox

  • @cyrus8617 not a gearbox. Its Polar Star's Fusion Engine.

  • I'd rather not carry around an air tank when I play airsoft.

  • So... when can we will the gun be production?

  • lol was i only one to see his nerf kill shirt?

  • I dont like having to carry a gas tank around with me the entire time with a tube going into the gun. I think it'll feel weird.

  • as long as this thing wont be more than 400 bucks i am going to get one

  • @OutlawAirsoftPA That's the full gun. The FE is only 400.

  • airsoftgi,

so ive looked up this gun and it looks like I can get it to 450 fps at 40 rps. is it true with the one you will be selling

  • @bennythepenny9 nope that was just for testing purposes. Youll be able to get 450 FPS with 30 rps though

  • @MrMonkekekeMan

so how much will it cost then?

  • @bennythepenny9 just the Fusion engine itself has an MSRP of $450 and the PR-15 is $650

  • @MrMonkekekeMan thats expensive

  • Just out of curiosity who is going to buy this? I am :p

  • @CraigTehAwesome They are hoppers plain and simple the only difference is the what direction they feed from.

  • @CraigTehAwesome What do you call Hi-caps and C-Mags?

  • They should just use an 80 gram co2 tank and but it in the buffer tube.

  • What was the weight of the BB he was shooting? .20g?

Also, Do you have to use "Polar Star" Magazines? If so, How much do they hold, How much are they?

  • @SCCrusaders You can use aeg magazines

  • @SCCrusaders those were .2g These use standard TM mags/barrels/hop up bucking/etc. But high caps are not the best when you have it set to like 30bps cause it cant keep up but mids should work

  • Step 1:press 9 repeativly.

    Step 2:LOL

  • so you don't use a batter for this right?

  • best t-shirt ever...

  • how much???????????

  • If they can further prototypes and make it self contained, easily rechargeable, with no line coming out then i would consider it.

  • why is everyone whining about a little air hose that goes back to a backpack? there's no dead batteries, barely any moving parts, much easier cleaning/maintenance, a completely adjustable fps/rps.....there is no problem here. one tiny con for a handful of great pros. this system is the most complete airsoft system soon-to-be on the market. i'll take an air hose for versatility any day.

  • @mchlmacdonald how bout adding an extra 400 bucks in price and extra gas plus tanks?

  • @MP5rules I don't get it? Where did the extra $400 come from. You get the system for 450-650 depending on drop in or complete gun. An air rig(with tank) is typically $150. And air refills are like $0-5. Compare to running a high stress gun, modified gun. Assume base gun is $400, Upgrade parts are, say around $200, Battery and LiPo Charger~$120, Tag on a high-end mosfet to give some programability(no where near as extensive as the fusion though)- Thats around $100.

  • @btrules Then factor in Parts Failure due to regular use, and overall? Your aeg is equal to, or higher than the price tag of a complete pr-15. The results of that high-end/stress AEG build? A gun with limited versatility(A fusion user can go sniper--pointman-rifleman, all in a couple of minutes), limited efficiency, and limited programing potential. Lets not forget limited endurance(those repair costs will add up quick).

  • @mchlmacdonald But what happens when you run out of gas? With gas you have to go to a place that can refill gas tanks then you have to pay to refill it. At least with a battery you can recharge it anywhere with an outlet and cost no money.

  • @squidvis Most paintball fields charge you $0-5 for a refill. Basically, if you can afford a bag of BB's. You can afford air. If not, go find a scuba shop. Same thing.

  • @squidvis here is the estimated gas efficiency.

    3000 psi 48cu tank, running @ 110psi (avg. 400 fps w/ .2g) = approximately 1,440 shots

    4500psi 50cu tank, running @ 110psi (avg. 400 fps w/ .2g) = approximately 2,250 shots

    4500psi 88cu tank, running @ 110psi (avg. 400 fps w/ .2g) = approximately 3,960 shots

Doy you go through 5 Hi-Caps in a game?

  • @protogenxl My 9.6v 1600mah firing my upgraded GR-15 Raider at ~420fps w/.23g gets around 3200 shots and I don't have to carry a tank.

  • @squidvis u should look at polarstar's channel and see if ur gun can do that

  • @squidvis Reliability is far insuperior in an AEG opposed to the HPA V.2.

  • i just want an airsoft rifle that will shoot accurate and very hard at distances of up to 800 Feet.

  • @FourtySven ya come back in 100 years

  • @FourtySven yup very realistic

  • @FourtySven Dream on man...

  • I have a gun just like the gas rig set up ,but its a AK-105.

  • will this fit in a tm based gun or do they only fit in vfc's

  • 400 fps? not bad. the gun looks sick too.

    wait

    WAIT WHAT

    WHAT

    1400 FPS

BOB WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU ARE GOING TO KILL SOMEBODY

  • @ninetailedhollow5 Na it says 400fps lol

I don't think any airsoft company in their right mind would develop a rifle capable of 1000+ fps (can you imagine the lawsuits?) not to mention that after you go past around 1100fps your bbs will break the sound barrier when they fire, making them extremely inaccurate.

  • @squidvis whoops :P Stupidity on my part.

there are air guns that do shoot metal bb's and pellets over 1000 fps though

  • @ninetailedhollow5 Yeah but those are pellet guns used for hunting animals not airsoft guns haha

  • Review plz

  • Nice big ass lanyard. Oh wait, it's for powering the system...

  • These better come out for V.3 gearboxes as well (*cough* G36 *cough*)

  • Quit teasing! Tell us if you're gonna stock it!

  • Fuck that gun is good and cool

  • nerf kill shirt <3

  • i want one

  • wait so what did they do ?

  • Nerf kill tshirt FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha did you see he was speechless after shooting!!!!

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

    NERF KILL!!!!!

  • @CraigTehAwesome Wait for Polar Star's upcoming products... they WOULD be the one to add the ridiculous hopper to an airsoft gun and call it innovation.

  • @INSAN3LUIS That first shoot is a side effect from connecting the gun and turning the gas on. when ever you turn on any kind of flow there is an initial surge than it normalizes.

  • Comment removed

  • i don't get the system, can anyone explain it. and when and for how much will this be on sale for.

  • there bringing back the classics!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes i do, in 20 min i can take apart my whole gearbox and put it back together. and i don't use GBB rifles only pistols so i wouldn't want a gun like that. also, i like to have two primaries and i wouldn't be able to do that with that gun. regular airsoft guns are more maneuverable and switchable very quickly. yes, that gun system has a crazy rate of fire but u don't need it. one bb will kill your enemy. and regular guns probably cost a lot less too.

  • @Nipsofjustice still that's part of all the fun!

  • Classic Airsoft w/o the blowback. :/

Daytonagun kits can do this easily, and function much better,

  • @hockeywiz01

    Wrong.

    Classic's are 95% BV systems.

The only (very-low) production design using a solenoid was an Asahi WA2000.

This system is far more advanced.

  • @Nipsofjustice thank you!! someone who uderstands that rps isnt everything!!!

  • Wow, its finally hitting the stores.... Been following this thing FOREVER!!!!!

  • if you want to play paintball go and buy a tiberius or bt gun this is airsoft the best

  • that is not airsoft, all it is is a paintball gun that shoots bbs. i bet the person who invented this isnt an airsofter.

  • @PROUDsk8er Too bad your wrong. Its not like paintball at all. It functions just like a normal AEG, but with instant trigger responce and adjustable ROF and muzzle energy. If your referencing the hose, you need to pull your head out of your 'you know what' and try something new for once. I've been using External guns for a while now and the hose is actually less cumbersome than a sling. Not only that, but the inventors, are airsofters that happen to work at an engineering company.

  • @motocrossgunner the strait fact that the gun needs an air tank is stupid. yes it has instant trigger response but y carry a tank around wen u can make a regular airsoft gun shoot super fast with upgrades without the tank? and u can ajust regular airsoft guns to ur desired velocity also with up/down graded springs.also, real guns dont need tanks or hoses, therefore making it less realistic. if i wanted to be carrying around a tank, id play paintball.

  • @PROUDsk8er You dont have to run such a visible hose. If realism is what your worried about, you can run a strait line though your sleeve and nobody will ever see it. The fact is, AEGs have so many moving parts that are put under stress that they will never be anywhere near as reliable as this system. I'm not saying its indestructible, but if its anything like the old BV guns, it has the potential to run for hundreds of thousands if not millions of rounds before haveing issues.

  • @PROUDsk8er You can complain about the tank, but the fact is, you will never find a gas gun that doesn't have cool down unless it has an external regulated air source. Also, AEGs are nowhere NEAR as tunable as this system is. Ya, you can spend an afternoon swapping springs, motors, shimming gears, or you can play around with a little computer and your regulator for 20min.

    Any other counter-arguments?

  • @motocrossgunner Escort system is basically the same but its alot more realistic, yes I'l admit the reocil will throw your aim off a bit, but that's what happens.

  • @kullwarrior The ESCORT system is completely different than this. The only thing in common is the external air tank. This Polstar rifle is not blowback, and uses a modified solenoid while ESCORTs use an odd, but very ingenious design where air is conserved. It uses the same air that blows back the bolt to expel the BB. I can send you a moving diagram of the ESCORT system and show you pictures of the Polstar internals if you would like. just send me a message me.(this goes for anyone interested)

  • aproxamated price/effency?

  • @bugboy357m The complete gun MSRP is set at $650, and the drop in kits are going to be set at $450. Different models will be more expensive as you start looking into nicer models.

  • press Ctrl W for HD

  • SWAG!

  • Yeah, we get it. It's a similar system to what was used in the beginning of airsoft history. But no, it's not the exact same thing, and yes it is quite ingenious innovation. If all of the naysayers would take just a few minutes of their time to search up the glorious workings of this amazing product, maybe they would dump their old rusty greased up monster and realize that the one they've been looking for all along is right here in front of them. BTW, Congrats Polar Star Airsoft. Keep rockin.

  • Anyone actually familiar with both systems will know that we did not copy the RAP4.

  • I...Want....bob's......shirt...
