Everyone, get a hold of yourselves. I love this song, and I see it through a Christian perspective. Nevertheless, everyone has the right to interpret songs differently. It doesn't really matter.

And to the Christians, it is great that you're trying to witness by explaining your views of the song, but Youtube isn't the place where its gonna work.

Please just don't litter the comments section with an argument.

Besides, people are far more likely to listen and act when you take it to them on a personal, non-aggressive way. That kind of discussion isn't likely to happen online.

I don't understand why people are assuming that this song is specifically about sin/God. These guys may be Christians but this sounds like a typical love song. I love the song by the way. Maybe the guy is afraid of commitment. That's how I take it. He doesn't want to "drown" and lose himself in a relationship. Any single male can relate to that feeling. This is quality songwriting on par w/ Goo Goo Dolls/Third Eye Blind. This song has that type of sound.

@smarsey well then you can say that its one of those typical love songs. But i say this can be a christian related song, because Chasen is actually a christian band (: but thats just my thoughts. But if you like this band you will love Starfield :)

it doesn't really fit into new moon. the part "i fell in love with somebody like you and i know yeah that you wanted me too" wouldn't work. The "i don't want to drown" kinda works

the singer was just walking along the beach at 4 am and God just sat him down and had a talk with him, so they might not mean anything to you, but to him he does and you can just kinda tell that he doesn't want to drown in sin
