Thanks for this video, i've been wanting to try to make corn tortillas myself and now i can! My questions for you are what does napalitos taste like and if i wanna use these homemade corn tortillas in enchiladas would they hold up or fall apart?
@savgal1211 Hello there, thank you for watching our video!
I used two pieces of plastic wrap to cover the tortilla press; this prevents the dough from sticking to the press. Simply press tortilla flat between two pieces of plastic. You may also try wax paper, but, plastic works fine. If you don't have plastic wrap, you can also use the inside wrapper from a cereal box...that works great also, simply cut out two pieces the size of your press circle. :) thanks!!! Nina
Awesome. I like to cook, and have made flour tortillas but was not sure about how to make corn tortillas. I do it all by hand, and rolling pin because I do not have a tortilla press. I fear it might be difficult to roll corn tortillas but I will probably try at some point. :)
I also love roasted green chili, OMG, it is beautiful, and tastier than all hell. I do not think I have ever had cactus other than the Mescalito/San Pedro variety. I would like to try napolito sometime
sorry for the delay in my reply. Thank you for watching my video. I love corn tortillas, they are very different in making because the texture is not pliable like the flour tortillas, however, they are very easy to make...I love making my soft tacos with black beans, green chiles, nopalitos and shredded cheese...Mmmm
Gracias! I used Harina maiz, si, and I added I love tortillas! We eat them all the time. My favorite is with nopalitos! Yummmm! :0) Gracias mi amigo! Nina
Hi there! Depending on the area you live, you may be able to find the (corn) masa harina which is basically treated corn flour. If you have a Hispanic community or a well stocked grocery store, you may be able to find everything you need. If not, you can find everything you need online...The is a great selection on Amazon...not trying to add spam...but it's a great site if you live in a location with limited supplies. Nopalitos, refried beans, masa harina, and the torilla press
