  • "hey kiddo". an old man said that to his grandson at my work in almost the exact same tone and i lost it. i almost dropped his salad plate

  • did everyone die or not? i don't understand quite well what happened :X :(

  • @smilezZzgirl You don't understand, well, let me help you...

  • @smilezZzgirl Yes everyone died. Christian explained it in the video when he said some died before you, and some died long after. But don't forget everything that happened with the island and the flashbacks were all real. This afterlife business is like a limbo state you can say and they need to remember each other to move on. Remember and let go.

  • i am 12 years old, i always heard about this show and once i saw that it was available on netflix i watched it, fell in love with, me and my brother who is 10 watched every single episode from the beginning to the end, i wanted to cry when i saw the last episode and each time i think about lost is over (well for me and my brother) i get a feeling that there is something missing, me and my brother would watch it everyday, lost brought me and my brother closer now we are not as close, i miss lost.

  • O my god is been so many years that this great serrie end.......i watch this scence every day reminds me my friends back to my country miss you lost miss you friends!

  • What an epic ending to a beautiful show.. I have ALL of jack's "flaws"...cried my eyes out through this scene , and still do . Hope this happens to me after I die. Miss you dad..

  • everyone dies sometime kiddo

  • " ...how are YOU here? " i f*cking cried at that scene

  • I loved season 6.

  • The greatest scene in television history

  • You know, who the hell cares if this show didn't make complete sense, anyone who watches it all the way through has to admit it's goddamn beautiful

  • @Zoster7 i so agree it was amazing

  • This is and always will be the most emotional TV/Movie I have ever seen. This was the perfect last few minutes of what will go down to be the greatest Tv show of all time. Why, though? Why did they have to make it so sad. The first time I watched this on tv all that time ago, I was like, can I just die with him? This time, I couldn't even finish the video because of my emotional breakdown. This is a happy scene that makes you cry really hard... I want Lost to come back... Please I wanna see al

  • Great FUCKING SHOW!!! This scene is the BEST!

  • If you didn't get the ending or hated it the. You were NOT a true lost fan.

  • WTF HAPPEND HERE IN THE END,,,,,,,,,,,is the whole point of this show,,,,,,THEY ALL DIED,,,,,is that what happend here,,,,,some 1 plz reply

  • @turkyish There is lots of discussion on this. The consensus, everything up until the end, especially through season 3/4, was lucid. 'There is no now, here', seems pretty damned self-explanatory.

  • @turkyish "Everyone dies sometime, kiddo. Some of them before you, some long after you." Did you miss that part?

  • @turkyish NO! The whole point of the show wasnt that they were dead, There is no 1 single point of the show, the whole journey and growth of each characters are among the million points of the show.

  • Matthew Fox is a brilliant actor. He deserves a lot more credit for his acting abilities. I miss LOST..

  • 26 people are still lost

  • I had no problem with the end of lost at all, it was a perfect ending to one of the greatest shows ever made, but it should have come at a later stage. There should have been at least one more season before this episode, one that explored more of the Island's history and answered more of the mysteries in detail. I'm sorry, but the "Across the sea" episode just didn't cut it for me. Still the greatest show I've ever watched, but I feel frustrated because it had the potential for so much more.

  • @steveflynn007 I agree LOST is the greatest show ever, but more mysteries were answered than people think.

  • When Jack said "I died too" I cried so hard, Matthew Fox face is everything, he is such a talented actor and this scene always make me cry.

  • @polyta95

i totally agree...Matthew Fox is a great actor...i can feel his pain just by watching him realizing he died...

  • @polyta95 Agreed. Sucks he never won anything for this show. It's okay though. We know his talent!

  • @RockTheGanjah45 He did win many awards for Lost, but not the major ones which i agree is a shame, he is awesome.

  • Worst ending ever. After spending so many years watching this show and they end it with evryone was dead in the end.

  • @1997sharpie so they should have just lived forever then?

  • Lost Fans Reactions: 0:07 what the fuck? where is he... 0:20 oh, uh.. 0:29 WHAT!? what is going on now...how can he be alive, he died, please dont be shite.. 1:00 ..... 1:17 ... so wait what, hes been dead all along? is he... NO!!! OH MY GOD 1:50 you begin getting slightly emotional.... 2:18 lump in your throat becoming stronger, fuuuuck this is an afterlife, theyr all dead 3:08 everything makes sense... 4:02 hanging on every word by this point, and you feel like your about to leave with him
  • this was such a beautiful scene.

  • I'm an atheist, but would love if there was an afterlife like this, where I could meet up with all the people I ever loved and just hug them again. This brings tears to my eyes. Absolutely beautiful.

  • I really can't wait to die seeing this....

  • I cried a lot :(

    The best show ever !

  • LOST was the best tv show, just watched the final episode, will always love it go lost :P

  • I wish I got into Lost. I saw the ending episode and the recap before and it blew me away. Loved it. I'd love to watch the whole thing

  • i think this was the saddest scene in lost always got me

  • I couldn't have asked for something more emotional than this. LOST touched me as a human being. I am a better person because of writhing like this. LOST was a journey of ones self and I thank it for that.

  • It's been nearly a year and half since the show ended, and finally after all this time, and after watching this, I understand. Everything that happened to them doesn't need to be explained. Maybe there are no definite answers. Maybe all these things happened because they needed it to happen. This show changed me. It made me understand things that I was having trouble with. It got me through the best and worst of times.

I love you Lost, and you will be a part of my life all the way to the end. <3

  • I didn't get the show after season 4 -_-" so did they got off or what?

  • this show is like a splint in my brain.. I can't get it out - I can't get enough of it - I can't live without it

  • Jack turns to a miniature bloody man in black.

    "what's that?"

"something beyond our help, Ha-- i mean Jack"

  • i miss lost, like it was a part of me, and yet there's no show that replaced that feeling, not even breaking bad or dexter or any other show, i just miss lost, just miss that feeling..just..

  • @rollingxam I feel the same for 'The Wire'. Two of the best of serial cinema, those two.

  • @rollingxam There is always 8 simple rules...oh, wait

  • @rollingxam Watch it again ?

  • @AhmedAndZak Already doing it.

  • @rollingxam lool like me i'm gonna watch it again

  • I watched this on sky2 last night and I cried all the way through, it was really emotional. I'm really sad that lost has ended, but i honestly believe that it had a good ending. It would've been stupid for them to just keep it going like they do with those awful simpsons episodes now, the story would've worn thin. R.I.P. Lost.

  • its all well and good ranting and raving that you didnt like the ending (which is a vocal vocal minority) everyone i speak too thought it was emotional, powerful and appropriate, online and in real life that i know, BUT! when watching this scene the first time , you are so engrossed and hooked that its just mind blowing and real, when he says i died too, its not acting, its like a real person has just realized his life is over and he has found his father iin the afterlife, stunningly beautiful

  • the only place where he could really meet with his dad again if he died too.

  • diehard lost fan here - in my opinion this ending really had nothing to do with the show to be honest, but its the most beautiful thing ive ever seen so i can not hate on it, and it changed my life.

  • @jmlrugby11 A quote from the show in the 1st season: "A walkabout is a journey of spiritual renewal, where one derives strength from the earth and becomes insepperable from it".

Each character went on their walkabout when they came to the island.

  • @Rude666 Even the cripple.

  • @rob87s Oops, I did not intentionally misconstrue your words, but I agree with your argument on viewing the show as character-based.

  • Totally agree with George RR Martin on this: A bad, unsatisfying ending is from now on called: "To pull a LOST on someone". They blotched it all the way.

  • @alexy32C Totally disagree with George RR Martin. He can suck my arsehole.

  • @ugalawdog98 ...You could have done without the sucking part, and I'm actually glad pple with your conversational skills don't agree with neither Martin nor me. Just continue making yourself look like a retarded hillbilly who can't abide a sentence that doesn't include insults. People simply have the right to be disappointed by this ending, and you have a right to like it, but you'll have to suffer a lot of arsesucking if it's to be done by everyone who hated the ending of this show. :)

  • @alexy32C ......george RR martin came out with, as soon as the episode aired, something like... "they were dead all along, really?" so the guy didnt actually get the ending, apparently he also didnt see every episode as well.... people are people, dont go by a name you muppet, HE VIEWED IT INCORRECTLY. there is nothing wrong with not liking an ending to something, what IS!! wrong is when someone says its shit, when they didnt get what happened. ignorance comes in many forms! people are funny ; )

  • @rob87s well, I watched every episode, religiously, and still felt robed when it ended. Not because I'm slow-witted or because I watched it incorrectly (how can you watch something incorrectly, btw?), but because the show was simply so awesome, innovative, thrilling, complicated, perfect, inviting, challenging etc, that the ending failed to provide the same amount of mind-boggling unexpected closure. At least for me. Also, I really doubt Martin used a word like 'shit' to describe the ending.

  • @alexy32C @alexy32C its very easy to watch something incorrectly, if you watched this just for the mysteries, then you were sitting there watching it not realizing the reason you were watching it was because these characters were making theses situations worth viewing. im not saying the mysteries were not important as it was obviously the crucial part of the story, but they all existed through the characters. but everything was answered? 95 percent of the things were answered.

  • @rob87s Ha-ha, off topic, but how come each and every one of the people I communicate with assume that I'm male? :) (Anyhow, thank you for being able to talk about this without name-calling, and trying to provide some arguments instead.) I never said I was disappointed by lack of explanations, I get it all, I was simply left with a shallow feeling of inadequacy. Can't explain it, really, just a strong feeling that there should have been a lot more of SOMETHING in the end to equal the rest. :)

  • @alexy32C Well, I knew some people that got the ending the ending but were a little disappointed with the ending itself. I followed the show for the 6 years it ran, and when it came down to the end, I realized they could only put som much into the finale. And really, what all of Season 6 was about was "closure" to the series. The characters had already been fleshed out completely so you understood their motives and actions. Bleh, hold on. I got little more to say.

  • @DownRodeo23 There are a bunch of shows that air their last season but get sloppy with their finales. Lost built up to this end slowly over the season as a way to wrap up the most important and relevant details to the story arc. I felt it was kinda poetic how all the characters, who had been through so much struggle, finally found their peace. As rob87s said, one could argue that the show was about the mysteries and cliffhanger endings; that was my initial take on the show too.

  • @DownRodeo23 But what it came down for me was that the show was really about the characters. When you bear this in mind, the shock endings and mysteries take a back seat to the characters finding the closure they deserve. Personally, I loved the ending for what it was because it emphasized this theme (even going so far as to beat people over the head with it). Perhaps you could specify what was lacking in the finale? Not to judge; I just want to hear the other side of the fence.

  • @DownRodeo23 The ending was surprisingly strong emotionally, hadn't expected so many tears, a knot in my throat etc, but I guess up until the very end I was hoping against hope that, despite all the clues they'll surprise everyone by giving another answer, not 'they're dead'. The very first viewer comment after the first episode had been aired was: I bet they're all dead!, so I hoped it wouldn't be as obvious as that, I hoped we'll be blown away by some other unexpected explanation.

  • @alexy32C That is a good point. The "We're all dead ending" is kinda the cliche way to end a series. While some people could dock the show for this, the ending packed so much emotional charge into it, as you said, that it made up for the fact that the ending was at its base nothing really new imho. I guess it's just in the way they executed it, not the template they followed. The characters were in limbo, learning to forgive themselves for what they did in past lives, "let go" as it were.

  • @DownRodeo23 I remember, for example, vividly, my utter surprise and that 'holy shit' effect on my brain once Neo (matrix) woke up in that tub and stopped being the 'battery' , so I imagine I was certain the ending of 'lost' would provide the same, if not more of a surprise, but it didn't. I guess I simply expected too much, but all in all it was an amazing journey, one of the best tv shows ever, so the fact that the ending was so very, very, very disappointing for me is solely my problem :)

  • @DownRodeo23 The island was real, only the flashsideways was a place for the dead, you know this right? And the flashsideways wouldnt exist at all if they hadnt saved the island.

  • @smokeyhatch14 I'm responding to a dead thread, but yeah, I felt that was made pretty clear in the finale's last 15 minutes or so. Christian's speech makes it clear that they are in a sort of purgatory but that "Everything that happened was real." Of note, characters that were on the verge of death (i.e. Juliet...I think she was the only one) began fading into and out of both purgatory and the real world (the Vending Machine scene w/ Sawyer).

  • @DownRodeo23 Oh...and Jack, of course in his final moments. Also of note was that time was irrelevant to the purgatory world ("There is no time...HERE"). When all of the crew had finally passed on from the real world, the purgatory universe somehow synced up their spiritual passage despite each of their deaths being hours, months, or even decades apart. Weird but cool concept.

  • @DownRodeo23 Thats well phrased man, totally agree.

  • @alexy32C But those theories in season one were that the island was purgatory, which it was NOT, Only the flashsideways was a type of purgatory, and this place would not exist if not for the island.

  • also: when you watch it back, there are two shows going on. There is the underlying story of jacob and his brother and then the struggles of the people living there and various struggles that they come by through out their time. they run side by side and impact each other directly, its so masterly woven. If you have any questions. ask away lad!

  • @alexy32C I love the fact that you're too stupid to see the hypocrisy in calling me a "retarded hillbilly" in the same sentence in which you condemn me for being insulting.

  • @ugalawdog98 As I recall, I said that you will make yourself LOOK LIKE a retarded hb if you continue with that kind of language, NOT that you necessarily are one already. That's for you to know, and for me to (hopefully) never find out.

  • @ugalawdog98 Also, I am really not here to fight with you, I just lose it a little when someone feels the need to automatically starts spilling lickings, suckings etc. the second they disagree with someone. Can't you just try to give some arguments instead, the way all the other people here are doing? And they responded to the very same post I made, but by giving arguments instead of insults actually made me rethink some of my (and Martins) points and views. :) Play nice, you'll feel better too.

  • @rob87s you speak the truth. pop masterpiece.

  • all of a sudden after he said 'i died too' it went from being the best tv show of all time to something even more, and every second i was watching after i knew it was getting closer to ending and every word christian said meant more than anything anyone has ever said in a film or tv or song ive watched or listen too before it. when the music started to pick up i became extreamly emotional and then when he stepped outside the door and seeing everyone i lost it and broke down in tears

  • to think they made this up as they went alone is complete ignorance, this masterpiece was crafted from start middle to end. there were basic story points like the island, the smoke monster , jacob and along the way certain things were developed stories were dropped, added. they knew the huge plot points, the main characters , but some specific areas that were slighlt gray were tweeked and changed. your a muppet to think it was made up as they went, its impossible to make this show, by faking it

  • @rob87s

Your rather spot on. In hindsight it's clear they DID have a plan from near the start. And that plan revolved around these characters and their experiences in an odd, stressful, life altering situation, and their personal redemption (they are LOST). The plan did NOT include explaining (in every last sordid detail) the odd environment (the island) and what makes it tick. That was fine for them. Their show was never about science, it was about faith. The show completely embodied the theme.

  • @u2mixer LOL well you brits also have bad teeth.

  • @EnglishRuggers25 LOL, and you know this because you were part of all the process of it being made? Just because you didn't get the latter half of the show doesn't mean they made it up as they went along. It just means that the concepts of this show just went right way OVER your fucking head. So no, the show isn't stupid, YOU ARE. Thank you very much.

  • When Christian asked, "How are you here?" I died a little on the inside.

  • @PhoenixLegend7 Take exactly what you described and apply it to your ability to interpret this show. First of all, enormous amounts of solid proof can be found in the show that it's general direction was clearly set from the beginning. You can't expect everything to be explained to you when you get confused and a lot of information has to be recorded in your brain so you can make the connection later. In the end, very few questions were left unanswered unlike people thought.

  • @CrowSword Dude, THANK YOU!

  • So sad, I remember watching it when it ended, I thought they didnt explain everything and they didnt, but this scene was well sad, R.I.P Jack Shepard

  • "Well, there is no now, here." BAM. That's epic.

  • The ending was perfect. I'm a guy and I bawled my eyes out. I loved how you really didn't know about the whole "fast-forward" thing until Christian explained it. I simply had no idea. If you rewatch the whole last season so many things make sense. Best ending to a series ever.

  • i died too.........sooooo, you wanna grab a burger? sure son

  • @TheRedDawgz See if you were even smart enough to know no one will listen to you since we have been trying for a year or so to explain it. Just get on with your life and stop trying to sound a tad bit knowledgeable, cause as long as you know whats right, how does it matter if anyone else does. Take John Locke as an example, be him.

  • @TheJamiam Like i said, no one listens... Yes i do understand that Christian explain every single detail about how they all died and how Jack ended up being there, yet people who still believe they died when the plane crash are ignorant and can't comprehend the slightest instruction. As you can't.

  • Everyone one the plane died the ones that had a hard time accepting it were lost and came to the island.

  • I find it touching that they made that church to remember, and us Losties return to this scene and that church to remember too. to remember one of the greatest shows ever produced.

  • @philstew33 they didn´t have to remember each other because they never forget each other, dumbass, the flashsideways was a filler

  • @crazytalkerman ok calling me a dumbass was completely unwaranted. Sorry if I don't know everything about everything. And to be fair Christian said it himself that they made it to remember so please don't comment unless you have something intelligent to say.

  • @crazytalkerman the series and the ending says other wise kid.,

  • @crazytalkerman They forgot each other in the sideways, dumbass.

  • out of interest, how did u feel cheated, no offense but your a minority, 80 percent thought it ended perfect. Always intrigued to hear why some people didn't enjoy it? Ps I ain't a bellend like a gd percent of people on here can be.... So I'm genuinely interested in why u didnt enjoy it, because I can't work out in my mind how that's poss! Lol

  • @u2mixer are you joking, the ending is a marvel, its stunning. im english and this ending is what we call 'fucking amazing'!!! ; )

  • like this if Jacob brought you here.

  • 1:31 - 1:45 ever seen such raw emotion from an actor? show me a scene in anything where you feel emotion with a character like the way that every person who watching this masterpiece did when he releases the most unbelievable weight of saddness, happiness, strain, fear and love into his fathers arms. i became extreamly emotional after he told him he loved him, all i could think of was how it ended with them in life, but here they are understanding their love as father and son together in death

  • this opened up everyone's minds to truly what this show was all about, its a story about life and letting go to see what really truly matters . At the end of season 5 i was blown away by what happened, thus thinking they have some huge reveal explaining every intricate detail perfect, while 90 percent was explained. if you watched this show how it was meant to be, and used your brain this is an absolutely magnificent and glorious way to end this masterpiece of storytelling

  • @rob87s very true bro

  • I never got round to comment on the finale. Just got to say that it was such a dissapointment, so many expectations not met, questions unanswered... to such a point that most people still aren't sure of the ending. Frankly, up to the end, it had been one of my favourite shows of all time, now I wouldn't be willing to watch one episode re-run.

  • @imoquecanarias what questions werent met and what were your expectations?

  • I may.have also.shed some man tears

  • How do people not get the ending of this amazing show (saying sth. like everyone died in the plane crash etc.)? Christian explains EVERYTHING here. Learn to listen!

  • god dangit:*(

  • I MIGHT have shed man tears while watching this...

  • Cried like a baby. LOST was a huge part of my life for so long. <3

  • It's been over a year since the show ended, and every time I see this I cry like a baby. I remember the morning after the finale, I was trying to sit in class but I couldn't concentrate at all. I felt like a piece of me had died. LOST for me was more than just a show. LOST was the one thing that brought my family together, and I feel closer to my parents and brothers because of it. Thank you LOST, for giving me such an awesome show that has forever changed my family and I. You truly stand alone!

  • @xsurfnturfx Oh I am so thankful someone else feels the way I do! I honestly believe that LOST has changed me as a person 100%, I've learned so much from this show and this last episode taught me life's purpose and there is NOTHING more important than that!

  • Still gives me goosebumps. :(

  • Life is about Remembering your past.

    Life is about Letting Go.

It's that simple, yet it's that hard...

  • some one help me...when did they die? when the plane crashed??

  • @CTU1640

NO! They did not die in the plane crash, everything that happened on the show, happened....The "flash-sideways" on Season 6 was what happened after they all died.

  • @CTU1640 They didnt die in the plane crash. In the flash sideways, time is irrelevant. Everyone dies at some point, and when they do this "flash sideways" is where they all join together with the most influential people from their lives. These people being the gang from the island. At least thats my understanding of it.

  • @jerichok pretty sure you're right

  • i lost it when jack said "i died too"

  • @VeNeM999 That's the exact same spot where I started bawling.

  • the best sentence: "there is no now, here"

  • Christian's " Not leaving...moving on " :(((

I waited 6 years for this meeting...this scene killed me <33

  • charlie hinted this back in season four....he said "yeah, I am dead...but I'm also here..."

  • @Minan3 this scene contradicts all afterlife that was presented before. so, after dyin Ana lucia and charlie and others appear to Hurley, then they erase their minds??

  • @crazytalkerman if you refer to another vid, "The losties remember" you'll realize that they remembered their exp. on the island and reunite. those who remembered were able to move on...

  • why isnt jacob there ?=(

  • I still can't believe I never realized sooner how important Christian would wind up being...I should have known.

  • i wish that i could get paid to watch lost over and over. i'd be a millionaire. i miss this show so much.

  • When Jack says "I died too", that's when I started bawling my eyes out. I'm starting to tear up writing this comment! But damn, I miss LOST.

  • Why was Juliet there?

  • 3:00 on describes my thoughts on graduating and leaving high school completely...haha LOST gets my lifeeeeeee.

  • I started tearing up when jack touched the coffin and all his memories came rushing back to him.

  • We have to go back......

  • I feel like Christian is talking to me when he says "the most important part of your life was the time you spent with these people". I grew up watching this show and can see bits and pieces of all the characters within myself. I miss this show so much.

  • @jrphilly13

    "grew up with this show"

God how old are you? like 13?

  • @EmoMichuri 18.

  • @EmoMichuri Not necessarily ... I say that I grew up with the show, and I started watching it when I was 9.

  • wow this is real honest to god acting.. the emotions are genuinely real and the audience really connects to this.

  • Poor jack

  • I must admit that at first I thought the LOST ending was one of the most disappointing endings to such a gargantuan story arc. However, on reflection over a year later I must say I can't think of too much I would have changed had I been Damon or Carlton.

  • The most important part of your life was the time that you spent with these people

  • @84heroes1 you just got a "thumbs up" thanks to your knowledge :)

  • I remember this scene very fondly. The moment Christian appeared to Jack was right about the time I started crying like a baby. And it didn't stop till 10 minutes after the show ended. I was still shaking, smiling, laughing and crying...I was happy to such a poetic and beautiful ending to such an epic journey.

  • @iloveipodlinux weakest ending ever

  • @crazytalkerman U don't know shit about the show clearly. The ending was PERFECT

  • @iloveipodlinux Still happens everytime to me!

  • Season 7, 8, 9 and 10 please! :(

  • We have to remember it was Christian's disloyalty and deceit that made Jack unsure and a badass of himself at times while on the island. Now, with the two of them patching up their differences in this scene makes it all the more beautiful.

  • First of all, I'm a guy. And I'm straight. I put myself in Jack's shoes and I actually cried.

  • I cried. If that makes me a pussy, so be it. But I miss my mom.

  • @ugalawdog98 this scene WON´T bring her back, you moron

  • @julianzolo I didn't say that it would, you jackass.

  • Remember when the producers denied that the Island was purgatory? It turns out it wasn't, but the flash sideways place was.

  • @sillycon The Side-ways world IS NOT purgatory lol. Did you even listen.

  • @metsjets333 it is....it's a "holding place" that they all created before moving on to the next level. What do you think Purgatory is?

  • @sillycon Purgatory is a place where you sit and wait for all your sins to be forgiven. Ur not good enough to be in heaven but not bad enough to be in hell. This is a place they all made together so that they could realize how much they needed each other throughout their lives and be rewarded by moving on together. The show made up their own little spin on religion, the island most likely made this world for them as a reward for saving it

  • @metsjets333 as a reward they have to suffer 2 weeks more?
