I installed a Intel DP43BF (4 series) motherboard in a computer this weekend. I then installed Windows XP Professional (32bit), and loaded all of the drivers for the motherboard that came on the motherboard. I then went to Start -> Programs ->, but could not find the Intel Matrix Storage Console software.
Where can one access the Intel Matrix Storage Console software?
@MRatinoff Seems like Intel renamed Intel Matrix RAID to Intel Rapid Storage Technology. If you search intel.com for "rapid storage technology" you can find download links for Intel RST (which supports your ICH10R chipset).
Dont you think that its logical that Intel's Storage Manager takes as granted that drive 0 is the SYSTEM drive from where you're setting the raid array?. You cant set up a raid from the system partition that you're going to wipe out to make the parity drive... Its like trying to format a partition from the OS installed on that partition lol
But i once made one of those uninstaller programs to uninstall itself. It worked lol
It's logical when a user has only one physical disk and then added a second new disk to mirror onto. However, any user who starts with a multi-disk system to mirror onto additional disks will be hosed as IMSC will assume and overwrite volumes that aren’t the system volume.
This could be addressed if basic-mode confirmed first; “About to erase volume1 (title:ImportantStorage) with data from volume0 (title:Win7), continue?” A similar confirmation is already done in advanced mode.
Thanks for the heads up :D But LOL the music XD?
