can you share please - can we assume the same timings for tuning a plane engine ? I.e. does it still have to be increasing rpm in 2-3 before dying ? I read somewhere it should take 4-6 but what's your opinion on setting a plane engine ? (having generally issues there - help needed :D)

Hi.

If I lean out my HSN until I get no further performance from leaning it out anymore, will readjusting the LSN to the correct tune enable me to lean the HSN further or doesn't it work that way?

I have plenty of smoke coming out the exhaust and could possibly lean it out more than it is already but the engine cuts out because of being too lean. The only thing I can think of which is causing lots of smoke at lean setting still is due to a high oil content in nitro mixture (16%).

Hi, I have a truggy with an SH .28 engine, It runs great but temperature is always exceeding 290 fahrenheit. I've richened out the HSN but still temperature won't go down. It only goes down when i leave it idle for about a minute. Does the LSN effect the temperature as well if it's too lean? I did the pinch test and it revs and cuts out so I think my LSN is ok

try cutting hole in shell to get more air flow to engine. also check if exhaust is tightly attached, no leaks.

seems low end is running rich. Lean it out and increase the idle speed using idle speed screw.

that is a strange problem lol usually stalling on idle speed is caused due to weak glow plug or rich LSN. Try to check them out and set

well running fine when cool, is cuz its not heating up. Once its heating up, it won't run good. so try to find the causes to over heating.

Well not on idle Speeds :D it was tuned right besides i was using this engine to make a tutorial so i messed up the tuning. later i tuned it again and got awesome speed on truck

That means the low end is not set. Keep experimenting till you get good idle to partial throttle n good low speed setting.

Cld u plz try tht on any one of ur older trucks COZ methanol is the real fuel anyways AND it is much cheaper. costs arnd Euro 1.75/liter here whilst nitromethane is the costly stuff boosting an only 16% mixture upto mroe than 7 Euro/liter. The oil's only 10% of the mixture so tht shldnt be more than a euro giving a total of 2.75 instead of 7 Euro.

Keep videos simply, to the point n short. when you edit the videos, if you can cut out any chatter that is not necessary and can be replaced by one line of subtitle, just cut it. well, mate, I don't have a traxxas at the moment, but if the engine is same size n can fit in the place, yes, changing flywheel n bell gear to match the existing spur gear should do good :)
