  • I just saw Downtown H at the Milwaukee Zoo, and he was one of the best performers I've EVER seen. That guy did the most amazing robot dance. XD VERY awesome. I watched his show for two hours and it felt like it was only 2 minutes. I want to get married just so I can book him to perform!

  • HA yeah his Mr Roboto routine. He's a good guy to boot!

  • Yes - Mr. Roboto and Putting on the Ritz. :)

  • what software do u use to edit and compile your videos?

  • Nero 7

  • Your "ethnicaly bi-polar" friend is hillarious!! I never heard of a "wedding trade show", I guess the competition for weddings is so tough that you have to sell yourself at a tradeshow for such an event vs. over the phone, I had no idea!!! This was very interesting, thanks for posting this.

  • They are a great way to generate business if done right. Some DJs will go there, sit in a chair looking bored and wait for someone to throw money at them. You have to create a buzz about your booth. IF there is another Mobile DJ you trust in you area, it would be a great idea to do a show with them. That way, you can help each other out. If you have a booked date, they may be avalable and vice versa.

  • Often times, the brides will call you after the show. That and you get a list of everyone who attended. You can call them and try to sell your services well after the show has ended.

  • Thats cool. I've often thought about the mobile DJ thing but I'm not into that sort of music. Thats really besides the point though, the point is to entertain and make money doing it. One could stand to make much more money doing weddings then getting the odd 200.00 club gig. Your idea of hooking up with a local wedding DJ is tempting though as I don't have sound, just cool lights and lots of underground dance records.

  • Yeah it sounds like you are into a totally different scene. When I first started doing Mobiles in my teens, I resented it because it wasn't the music I liked. After a while, you develope your own style and it's about the presentation of the music. It's also less about me and more about them, you know? You just go out there and give them what they want insted of forcing what you want on them. When done right, it will give you much satisfaction

  • Easy come easy go. Better luck next time. I loved the song you played in the truck by the way.

  • Ahh yes, more Freddy Fresh!

  • Loved every minute of it! Keep em coming! :-)
