  • well he doesn't have to lift it very high

  • He can't be a bulgarian, if he has turkish roots. He is the pocket Hercules with turkish blood.

  • I lifted 65Kg today. So that is 5Kg more!!

  • I could clean and jerk more than that guy even weighs.

  • @sirlew he only weighs 60kg dickhead, im sure alot of people could lift that.

  • @LHD4life I lifted 65Kg today so that is 5Kg more!

  • @sirlew u can only sit and watch triple times ur body weight dude ... try the x2 ur body weight and if u ever manage to lift them u go for the x3

  • @gloup81 I can't do double body weight. I never claimed I could. I just said I could lift more than this guy weighs and I can. And this guy is one of the best weightlifters ever. So there.

  • @TheMrBULGARIAN The Turks came to the Balkans centuries ago as invaders. That was not nice. Yes, the Bulgarian sports science enabled his lifting abilities.

  • @skirts365 hey moron ! he is not bulgar ! he is türk !!! from karamanoğlu clans !!! as pomaks call them konyari. Konyrai means that which was migrated from anatolia to balkans. and those were karamanoglu türks. Most of famous türk has karaman roots. Ataturk, barışmanço, koca yusuf. Even real bulgars were karaman. Asparuh bulgars name was Qara bulgars ( Qara-man ) . but bulgarians are not türk and real bulgar they are greek slav mix ...

  • @MrEmretti Moron better describes you, I didn't say he was Bulgar, I said they trained him!

  • @skirts365 have u ever read his life ? yes i have ! he said that was his childhood dream to be wrestler like koca yusuf ! and he had trained to pick up rocks when he was sheperd at his childhood cuz he has grown in some turkish village ! but why am i tryin to explain some moron like you ! you better to read who was Koca Yusuf ! he had died cuz of fcking afraid americans ! cuz he had kicked american boxing champions for 30 second !

  • @MrEmretti Your geography fails, your civility fails, you're the moron here! I see so many Turks seething with hate---hate for Greeks and their costumes, and lots of hate other ways. Picking up rocks is suitable training for stone lifters like the Basques, but not for weight lifters. Yusuf was a wrestler not a lifter, we were speaking of lifting, not wrestling or boxing. And it was Bulgarian training that enabled pocket Hercules to do the world records. We see how seething with hate you are

  • @skirts365 have u ever tierd to find for reasons of türks hate for greeks ! why ? for example ! after bombarding of hitler , greece was in crysis ! they were hungry !!! Turkey also was in crysis cuz it was WW2 ! even then Türkey nation helps greek and sends wears & foots ! all of these had loaded on ship ! but how greeks thanked us ? they started to kill türks in cyprus under regim of ENOSIS ! for these reason we hate greek ! they never deserved to get help but we are türks this is our culture

  • @skirts365 and about koca yusuf ! i said you same ! yusuf was a wrestler and he was an idol for Naim !Most of anatolians are greek converted müslims. But balkan and causcasin türks were karamanoğlu türks which has separated by Ottoman. Naim is karamanoğlu türk like me. Atatürk was karaman yörük. Koca yusuf was karamanoğlu ! Even greeks has same root but they converted to christianity! for example greek president karaman-li-s. Karamanli means person from Karamans. Karaman oğlu is son of karaman

  • you are like a father too all weightlifters... we miss you

  • @TheMrBULGARIAN he was a turk .who was BORN in bulgaria..its his choice wich country he want represent ..And besides ..I heard the turks there werent treated so nice .Turkish ppl had to change their names and shit right.

All I want t say is never be angry at him for choosing his roots ..cause thats how he sees himself..As a turk..

  • I just want to put him in my pocket and have very own pocket weightlifter.

  • @DixieNormas07 yeah, only if you tried he'd probably have ripped your arms off and eaten them

  • @TheMrBULGARIAN Why you mad though?

Do you think anybody here, other than bulgarians or turks give a fuck where he is from?

He is HUMAN and he lifted an impressive weight, that's all I have to know to admire him.

Who gives a fuck where he trained or what his nationality is, so please don't waste 3, whole, comments just for being mad.

  • for an instance i felt like i was watching a science fiction movie :D

he is not from this planet !!!

    best weightlifter ever

  • He wasn't 16 but he did C+J a lot at 16, one of the greatest athletes to ever live!!! The guy even snatched 157 :o

  • I hate arguments on videos that feature such an amazing accomplishment! Can we just appreciate the greatness of this kid. I say kid because I believe was 16 when he did this! WTF!? Also has a legendary sinclair total! BEAST in every sense of the word in my opinion

  • wow, can you imagine a clean and jerk of THREE TIMES your body weight? That would be 600 lbs for me, and I can only DEADLIFT about 500 (which makes me a "strong man" at the local gym). Amazing.

  • fumer comme un turc..........lensten saygılar sevgiler....

  • This Lift still stands as the all time C&J record for the 62kg class. Yes i know it was erased but thats BS. You just seen it happen.

  • This guy a fucking beast! RESPECT!

  • He's a Bulgarian with Turkish roots. Bulgarians don't like Turkish people, they call them gypsies in Bulgaria. Bulgarians are really such racists. Shame on them. That's maybe why Naim Suleymanoglu (Suleymanov) choose for Turkey. Good choice.

  • @AbidinAliev 1.5 millions of 8 millions bulgarians are turkish !!!! fuckin pore bulgarians and thieves call the turks gypsies ??:)))))))) omg man ..look at bulgarian community in EU fuckin scums and bitchs in france everywhere ...

  • @barbar711 you are one very stupid turkish pig! There is no turks in Bulgaria. The bulgarian muslims are not turks. This bulgarians was converted to islam by force. Their grand fathers fought against the turks in the balkan wars for the freedom of bulgarian nation. If you change your religion to judeism, that wont make you a jew! NO, for Turkey in EU!!!

  • @Ro6avhooligan u r really stupid...even i ll be not talkin about this topic with u ..sorry dude

  • @barbar711 Yea, you dont want to talk, because there is nothing you can say!!!

  • @Ro6avhooligan we know pomaks . but naim is not pomak ( slav converted to muslim ) ! naim is just a türk like his parents . There are two türkic population in Bulgaria ! Ottoman and Tatar türkic population :) dont lie people !

  • @Ro6avhooligan you idiot ,i am turk in bulgaria , now almost 500 000 turkısh people living in bulgarıa,before more then 1 million, you must be jokıng. , DONT TALK ABOUT THING YOU HAVE NO İDEA.

  • @AbidinAliev hahahah we turks call bulgarian gypsies...how funny is that:D...they look more like gypsies to me..

  • @AbidinAliev Communist Bulgaria was changed all Turkish surnames with forced. Naim is original Anatolian Turkish name, Süleyman is Turkish of Salamon, "ov" is "oğlu" (Son) in Turkish. Okay, I understand that you know nothing about history. Do not you have a mind that you can not understand his Turkish name and surname? Also Greek and Bulgarian Turks' mother land is the Middle Anatolia.

  • @SavasASIK I don't know what you're talking about. I know the history better than you do. I am myselfe a Bulgarian Turkish and I know very well about the changement of the names by Bulgarians. My parents were forced also to change their names. I think we have a misunderstanding with you...your English is not very well as I can see...if you have questions you can also ask me in Turkish...It's my motherlanguage

  • @AbidinAliev Diyorsun...

Naim'in adı bu baskı sonucunda değiştirilerek Naum Shalamanov idi.

Your previously given reaction in English gave me enough information about your capability of speaking/writing in English. Everyone will agree with me that your English is bad. How is it possible to make a statement about my IQ if you even don't know me. In the sequel you have to be cautious with your statements. I don't expect more reactions of you, it will make you stupid

  • @AbidinAliev Bilmediğin aşikâr. Profesör olmaya gerek yok bunu anlamak için. Kusura bakma.

Niye? Her reaksiyon gösteren aptal mı oluyor?

  • @SavasASIK ''Dünya Portfolyosuna sahip İleri seviyede İngilizce bilen birisiyim ben''...First mind your own words before talking to me about language. I don't need to talk Turkish perfectly, because I do not live there. It's not possible to choose a motherlanguage. Do not make statements about me...you don't know me. I don't want to go out of theme right now, it's not the right place for it.

  • @AbidinAliev Evet.

Şu an oradakilerle değil, benimle konuşuyorsun.

  • Small Giant!!

  • TUM ZAMANLARIN EN IYI IKILISI NAIM SULEYMANOGLU VE HALIL MUTLU!

  • OH SHIT THE LITTLE MAN IS SO GREAT!RESPECT FROM GERMANY

  • damn his torso seems to compress when he lifts the weight above his head

  • the pocket hercules

  • Senin Allahına kurban olayım.

  • extremely strong for his body weight!!!a true legend!

  • Naim is clean from all drugs..dumbass..max out everday of your life to accomplish feats of strength like this..then again, your weak ass would give out a week into training just cause "by back and legs are to sore to bend over" little bitches never become champions..Train till the day you become champion..till then...never stop..

  • To put this into perspective, Paul Anderson's career best C&J was 185.5 kgs !

  • @JSavic true but paul was clean and trained in the 50's.he would kill naim in the other lifts and paul did press 300 with one arm.

  • @JSavic actually Andy pressed 410 (188.5) and clean and jerked (pushed pressed really) 436 (197.5). He did much more in practice, later as a professional. but Naim's lifts are still stagering. Too bad his records where null when the weightclasses changed.

  • Why do his hips do that when he comes up from the clean? Muscle imbalance?

  • that's soo easy, what a little bitch!

  • You are the Greatest Naim. I wish there was more interviews, stories told, and info about this GREAT Man as well as athlete here in the U.S. Naim you are a role model for many, including myself.

  • the legend of turks

  • @Rocky9374,

He is a Bulgarian who converted later in his life, because Turkey gave him a lot of money. He was born and raised (and trained) in Bulgaria. ;)

  • @ilian51378 N A I M S Ü L E Y M A N O G L U : was an diesen zwei Wörtern soll denn bitte bulgarisch sein ?!

  • @1TurkisH,

I have five questions for you. When you answer those questions, I will write to you again:

    1. Where and when was Naim Suleymanoglu born?

    2. Where were his parents born?

    3. Where did he live and train until 1986 when he defected to Turkey?

    4. Who did he compete for until his defection to Turkey?

    5. How much did Turkey pay to the Bulgarian government to have Naim compete for Turkey?

  • @ilian51378 OMFG dude, he IS TURKISH born in bulgaria from the turkish minority in Bulgaria remember? descendants of the Ottomans? that minority Bulgaria made assimilation politics against (why he was called with the funny name Naum Shalamanov) , ring a bell??? - that doesnt make him bulgarian. DEAL with it!!!

  • @BayKaramela,Let's not start the conversation about assimilation politics please. Bulgaria had enough of that (500 years was it?) and more... How are you sure that Naim's ancestors are not one of those Bulgarian families that got forcefuly converted to Islam and thus assimilated? Since you started the Ottoman Empire talk, are you aware of what went on in those days? You may say whatever you want, but Bulgaria could not even begin to compare to what the Ottoman Turks did in terms of assimilation.

  • @ilian51378 Ottomans did not convert christians or jews forcefully, get your facts straight. It had some privileges to become a muslim and an ottoman (assimiliation), why many did so.

Silly that bulgarians are insisting on these legendary wheigthlifters identity as bulgarian, when both Naim and Halil are defining themselves as turkish, got turkish ancestry and both have moved to Turkey.

  • @BayKaramela,

They didn't? Interesting why I learned something else in school... Are you familiar with the blood tax? When the Ottoman Turks would get the young sons of the Bulgarian families and raise (brainwash) them as the best soldiers and personal guard of the Sultan and then send them back to their home villages to convert their own relatives or kill them if they resist? I think one of us should get his facts straight...

  • @ilian51378

The devşirme or devshirme system was indeed a forced convert to Islam of christian boys taken from their familiy to be trained as Janissary´s. However the fact that the ottomans send the young men back to their home villages and kill their family and their relatives (if they did not convert to Islam) is indeed a great lie.

IF the ottomans forced people generally, why do for instance the bulgarians still have their mother tongue in use, their religion, culture etc

İ watched that vreme razdelno too :) There are such kind of films in Turkey too. U can newer learn real history if u are nationalist.

  • @pharlapcik I understand my friend, but it is not only the movies. There are people who remember what their parents and grandparents told them about the Ottoman times... I really do not hold a grudge against Turkish people, but at the same time, I believe that it is important to remember history. I have Turkish friends so don't get the wrong impression. ;)

  • @BayKaramela dostum ugrasma bu geri zekali zaten anlamaz, baktim 100 tane turk videosuna hep ayni zirvaliklari yazip durmus... itin teki oldugu zaten belli... bosver birak kendi haline :) ben ona verilecek en yararli cevaplari yazdim, zaten bu lavuk 13-15 yaslarinda kesin bir paledir...

  • @ilian51378 Let me answer your questions in the way your tiny little brain can understand.

    1) He was born in the land of Ottoman descendants.Bulgaria was part of Ottoman land, and half of Bulgarian population was Turkish. Lived in peace until your dumbass Todor guy started the assimilation regime. You're a bulgarian still after 700 years right? If turks did what you re trying to say, your name would be Naim maybe :)

    2)Read 1

    3)Read 1

    4)Read 1

5)Lol the most stupid question like ur lil brain

  • @ilian51378

  • @1TurkisH,

It is not important what I want. What is important is where Naim was born, raised and trained to the level of a world champion, before he started competing for another country. It is very easy to get an athlete who is already at the highest level and win titles. However, it is not quite as easy to create this athlete and raise him to that level.

  • @ilian51378

    ;)

  • @ilian51378 it is not korekt he burn in bulgaria but he`s family is turks from ottoman turk

  • @Rocky9374,

How do you know if they were Turks and not forcefuly converted Bulgarians? Who is not correct now? Just a thought...

  • @ilian51378 lol anywhere I watch about turkish weightlifters, you take things personal and defend blindfoldedly/stupidly about bulgarian nationalism.even though you say otherwise, anyone with a 1gr brain can see it.My friend, dont believe everything they feed/brainwash into your brain.Europe is Europe still even after 7 centuries of Turkish ruling. If turkish did try to convert anyone, half of Europe would have been converted by now.It takes only 3 max 4 generations to fully convert, yet...

  • @ilian51378 really? How do we know you are Bulgarian? and not Turkish, who is converted due to a lot of money involved? All your comments are as stupid as your logic. One thing is right, your brainwashed quite well under Todor Jivkof regime. If Turks did not enter Europe, European were gonna kill themselves or die in their own poops.Turks brought peace justice,Turkish Bath :)preserved all nations as they are. After 7 centuries, it s still Europe . look around world in last 100 years of thievery.

  • @ilian51378 I think you were Turkish before, as well too bad, Todor slept with your grand-grand-grand-mom, once, your grand-grand-mom was born, you were 75% turkish, Todor slept with ur grand-grand-mom as well, and your grand-mom was born, and u were 50%turkish still. Todor did not stop, and slept with ur grand-mom, and ur mom was born and 25%accomplished. He continued on, and slept with ur mom and there you have it, the answer u were looking for, u were finally born 100% Bulgarian, happy? :)

  • @ilian51378 quote "He is a Bulgarian who converted later in his life, because Turkey gave him a lot of money. He was born and raised (and trained) in Bulgaria. ;)"

Lol, your really dumb... He is 100% Turkish, and He wanted to leave peacefully and did not want to live under your dumbass Todor regime's assimilation doctrine... Todor did not want to let him leave, he asked Turkish nationalist to help him escape! Your little brain is too young to understand, HE ESCAPED with some help...dumbshit..

  • @mysticusa I usually leave people, who offend others in every sentence, without an answer, but you seem to not be sleeping at night after reading my comments so I wanted to tell you to calm down and go to sleep already. That is all. ;)

  • @ilian51378 seriously? lol i now know you are juz a lil kid with nothing to do but find n post on every turkish sportsmen u can find...

just a suggestion, stop being a trolling dick, and get a life and grow some balls and accept that those sportsmen are turkish even though they were born within today's bulgarian land. but dont forget, those lands were within turkish boundaries for 700 yrs.and pray that it was turkish, otherwise your mom would be french and dad would english probably? who knows?

  • holy shit only 132lbs bodyweight? wtf how tall is this guy?

  • @TheDavidgibby 1.50 m

  • @TheDavidgibby Four feet eleven inches or 4 11 and a half. He had ideal height to weight ratio for the lift a limiting factor was his hand size he may have trained grip to help him hold bar. Not an issue after weight is racked.

  • the guy weighed 60 kg's, lifted 190 kg's over his head.

if that's not amazing i don't know what is.

  • @eroceht  60KG/190KG----> X3...

  • siga ton ypanthropo 1.30 einai o blakas

  • @TSIARTAS10 sevasmos!

  • @TSIARTAS10 kai parolo to ipsos pou tou rixneis, g to opoio eisai perifanos, dn tha mporeseis pote na katafereis oti ekeinos. gi auto kallitera na to voulwseis, na dei3eis ligo sevasmo, kai na katalaveis oti ta epiteugmata dn metriountai me to ipsos.

  • That is truely one of the most impressive lifts of all time... have you ever checked this guy out - he can hardly get his fingers around the bar... just an incrediable feat of strength.

  • Helal olsun bee nede olsa TÜRK !

  • He is from TURKEY.

    Turkey is beatiful.

  • He lifted for turkey yes.But Bulgaria found him and trained him to the elite levels that he achieved.Never forget that.

  • That is true.

  • well i think he was actually a Bulgarian turk from Bulgaria, then moved when the Bulgarians tried to get rid of turkish culture in Bulgaria. Its true though that his first world records came after bulgarian training

  • @wannabee8 He is from Bulgaria.

  • I think it is so interesting how high the numbers are being pushed for the lighter weight classes. I think it goes to show that regardless of body size, there is a limit that we can lift....luckily, we haven't reached it yet.

  • Makes the 105+ look silly. Hossein cannot deadlift (raw) 3 times his bodyweight. Both are great champion. But have you ever though of holding 3 times your bodyweight overhead.

  • How he did that, I'll never know. My deepest respect to that man.

  • the best weight lifter of all times.

  • wow, naim made one of the finest Olympic accomplishments in history by lifting this 190 kg bar over his head. Your best acomplishment in your life was making a youtube-account. No wonder you need to make such comments.

  • @epirvsflavivs :)) hahahaha lmao so true

  • lol

  • Comment removed

  • mis respetos compa eres mi modelo a seguir y claro a venser yo tambien entreno halterofilia suerte

  • He should compete in the world hula hoop championships!

  • Massive legs!

  • He looks like CHUCKY! =0 hahaha

    Very strong BTW

  • Naim Suleymanoglu "The Pocket Hercules", is a Turkish World and Olympic Champion in weightlifting. He won three Olympic Championships, seven World Championships and six European Championships and earned 46 world records. Simply The Best Ever.

  • What a great fighter he was..i heard what happened to him and i cant tell u how much i was sorry..i hope he will recover you Turks should be very proud for him..Respect to Naim from a Greek..

  • naim is the best ever

  • What did he do with his hips?

  • he gave us a sexy wiggle thats what ;)

  • I think one of his legs are stronger which make that leg rise faster and creating the movment in the hips

  • Proud to be Turk.

  • hm who changed their(Turks) names into Bulgarian?

Of course he wanted to come Turkey where his nation mostly living.

You dont have respect them but when they being successful suddenly u remember who they are!

he is Turkish like millions in Bulgaria.

  • Man, look at where he became successful and as who! When he applied for citizenship in Turkey he was allready great-the man did it for the MONEY,search the web-the same goes with Halil Mutlu-just facts.Btw i also think that it was a huge mistake with changing the names,i admit it. So we don't suddenly remember him-he came to you as a finished champ, coached by the best trainer in the w. That's why i don't have respect for the man and don't think that he is patriot for Turkey either...

  • he was also part of the 800000 people of the turkish minority in bulgaria... afterwards the bulgarian regime made him change his name to naum shalamanov, and then naim sought shelter in turkey, but the bulgarian government wouldnt allow him to.. these are also facts, that you intentionally do not refer....

  • the greatest of all time

  • that bar has bugger all distance to travel, still his bone density must be insane for his size

  • Damn.......that dwarf is strong.

  • Truth hurts....

  • Pyrros have 3 gold + 1 bronze...

Naim very good athlete but still Second ;p

  • Stupid scoring-system

  • Turkish power at it's extremest. HE SHOOK UP THE WORLD!!!

  • Good god, how short is he?

  • ive heard 4ft 11 in and 5ft 4 in not sure which one is true

  • i'd believe 5'4" over 4'11"

  • 4ft 11in is the real one.

  • The Legend of all times

  • ALLAHINA KURBAN

  • what was his bw when he did this weight?

  • He is amazing.. A HERO LEGEND!

  • He have taken 160 and 197,5 on training for a long time ago the trainers said on a video of naim that Lovelymadmex had.

  • I have no idea how his spine withstood that technique

  • Then you apparently don't know much.

  • It's noteworthy vibbly. I've seen other lifts when Naim moves his spines that way. To the best of my knowledge the only reason his body could tolerate such lateral spine bending is extensive and well planned weightlifting training in maximum lifting range. This results in strong and flexible muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints highly resistant to injury.

  • No spine alone couuld handle that weight. The abdominal muscles are there to protect it.

  • Also abdominals, if strong enough, prevent hernia.

  • i guess thats why they're the most important muscles to train....because they balance everything serving as a core

  • holy shit 190 kg?! This guy is definitely a legend and a great inspiration for others.

  • This is not only one of the greatest single lifts ever, but one of the most amazing feats in athletic history. Suleimanoglu, weighing 132 lbs, cleans and jerks 418, which is a stupifying 22 lbs. over TRIPLE bodyweight! Shortly after this, the bodyweight categories were changed; Naim's old featherweight, or 60 kg. category, became 62 kg. So the competitors can actually weigh four + more lbs., yet NONE of them have come even remotely close to matching this mind-blowing lift. And he snatched 336!

  • Suleymanoglu and Dimas are the best lifters ever!!!

  • no drugs? WADA nowhere? :O :D

  • the legend

  • yeah man türkiye lan

  • Now, I'm a powerlifter, not a weightlifter so I'm no expert on this guy, but pound for pound he SNUFFS that fat turd Rezazadeh like a cheap cigar! Naim has (in my opinion) a much stronger claim to being the strongest man in the world. Coming from me, believe me that MEANS something!

  • Great Man in a little Body

  • BEST Weightlifter ever Turkish Power

  • Does that have anything to do with this video?

Bulgaria as well as half of Europe was a part of the Ottoman empire up until a century ago so naturally there are still heaps of Turkish minorities outside of Turkey residing in various European countries. Some like Naim choose to come back to their mainland so you can't tell me he is Bulgarian or was from Bulgaria.

  • yes naim isss a orginallyyy turkishhhhfighterrrrrr!! antiii bulgariaaa anti atakaaa!!!!!! NE MUTKLU TÜRKÜM DIYENE!!!

  • What's your point. Upto a 100 years ago all of Greece, Bulgaria, Ukraine etc was a part of the Ottoman Empire and naturally there will be heaps of people with Ottoman heritage scattered around the Balkans and Europe.

  • he's 4'11"

  • the best weightlifter ever !

  • nice job
