Milos and Lele used to go down to Soley and Milos would always be filming. After Fefet (that's tupac for you) got shot they managed to sell the movie to Clef, and he wanted more to it. That's when Asgar went back to haiti to film more stuff about it. Not sure how you deduct that I'm a "child" from what I say but ok... whatever makes you sleep better.

I'm neither a citizen of Soley nor someone who wants to be known. Ask yourself this question however: Having heard of Soley's reputation, do you think random white people can just walk into it? Everyone needs that "person" to step it. Wyclef sold the film to Sony, and the two ripped both lele and milos off. All the guys in the film are dead by the way, except for 50 Cent and Toutou 1 (the one they mistakingly call Reginald).

But i also understand, that Asger had some sort of coorporation with Milos as he is co-credited in this film. Asger Leths father is living on the island, and has been for quite som time. Maybe Asger knows one or two persons in Haiti?

I saw this movie and, to be blunt, was not impressed. I was in Haiti at the time, got held up by chimeres, saw tires burning in the streets, and had doubts as to whether or not I would make it back to The States.

However, this film is film doesn't capture the true character of that time, nor Haiti as a whole. This film is like looking at Haiti throgh a peep hole. It doesn't allow you to see the entire picture.

I saw this film this past weekend and was VERY disappointed. The whole thing was like a long music video (or "Making of") for Haitian 2pac. The film didn't focus on the conditions of Cite Soleil, the chimeres themselves, the politics was only the backdrop...and the action scenes in the trailer above are the only action scenes in the film. It looks like the director fell for 2Pac just like the white "relief worker" did, and promised H-2Pac that he'd make a film about him.

Yesterday we went to see the European Premiere of this movie in Leuven. It was plunge back into my first days in Haiti, around February 2004, when revolt and protest led the President Aristide to leave. Though i don't agree with the only partial view that they give of Haiti, focussed on the slum of City Soleil and its violence, and it is no innocent political (pro american sometimes it seems) message behind it, it was still strong enough to take me back to those times...
