Texas has played good teams, but other than alabama they haven't played a great team. TCU should have gone to the national championship, but after the fiest abowl I see why they didn't. Their offense got embaresed and their defense got lucky. Kellen Moore was not accurate as he usually is, and he had recievers wide open. That was Kellen's fault, not TCU's defense. if he was playing as he usually does, Boise easily cound have scored in the 20s-30s.
Whoever wins between TCU and Boise St. will have proven that they should have been in the championship game. I personally think TCU has the best team in the nation. The top three teams in the MWC are really good. And TCU is by far the best of the three. This coming from a Oregon Duck fan.

In fact as Jimmy Johnson said, and as the ESPN analysts said 2 weeks ago, TCU is a legitimate NC contender and could play with anyone in the country and beat them. BST played a really soft schedule. My prediction about the Fiesta Bowl, TCU 45, Boise State 17. However all we'll know after the game is that TCU should have been in the NCG. As for who will attend? TCU allotment of tickets are sold out.
At fist I wanted TCU to loose, only because it would give Boise a gaurenteed bowl game. BUT, then I found out Florida would play Alabama before the end of the season. Then, I wanted Texas and Cincy to loose, putting TCU in the championship, which would help show how stupid the BCS system is. Texas shoudn't go into the chamionship, they're only ranked high because of last season, and haven't done anything this year to prove they should go.

well they still player a larger number of better teams that TCU does. The best team TCU played was clemson and clemson almost won. plus TCU almost lost to airforce too. texas played a better group of teams than TCU did though. three good teams: Ok. State, Texas A & M, and Nebraska. but theyre all in their conference. but in TCU you guys play one alright team in your conference and thats Brigham Young, who also plays no body but TCU.
Cincinnati has a pretty good schedule i personally think theyre better than texas is. they very well rounded with a good quarter back, running game, and great receiving with special teams. that gilyard guy has got some moves.

Your misleading the facts. TCU played and beat 3 top 25 teams. They beat BYU ranked #16, in Provo, 38-7. They also beat Utah, ranked #8, 55-28. And they beat Clemson #24, in South Carolina playing in the rain.They also beat Virginia @ Virginia, 30-14. They also beat Air Force who was ranked in the top 30, @ Air Force in the snow with the temp. @ 25 degrees. They never play from behind the whole year. If BST, had to play Oregon later in the season than they did, I doubt BST would have won.
They beat all of their opponents by an avg of 40.7 points. Name name another team that did that. Don't waste your time looking it up because there is not another team in the Top 25 that did that. They beat all of their conference opponents by an avg of 31 points. Did any one else in the top 25 do that? If you want to talk about cupcake teams, look @ Tex, Ala, and Florida's schedules. TX cupcake teams consisted of,Louisiana-Monroe, Wyoming, @ UTEP. Florida played Charleston Southern, Troy, and South Carolina. Alabamas cupcake teams were Univ of North Texas, and Chattanooga. So, don't start the crap about TCU playing cupcake teams because almost every one does in order to pad their ranking.
Texas also played Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska...Florida played LSU, Tenn, Georgia, FSU, South Carolina...Alabama played VT, Mississippi, Tenn, South Carolina, LSU, Auburn, and Florida. Cupcake teams? really? I'm not saying Boise State, TCU, and Cincy aren't good but when you look at the level of competition of course they won't get into the BCS Championship. Texas has played a far more difficult schedule then any of the 3 of them and come out undefeated.

I didn't deny they played cupcake teams. All D-I schools do. But look at the rest of their schedules compared to Boise State, TCU, and Cincy. Simply put BS, TCU, and Cincy didn't play any really challenging teams at all, mostly cupcake teams. Whereas Texas, Florida, and especially Alabama faced tough competition throughout the season.

They will keep getting leap frogged unless everyone is a 2 loss. I think Auburn will lose soon maybe to Bama maybe in the SEC championship. Oregon will win out and with TCUs dominating of Utah(it was rediculis) they will face Oregon.

Now my second question is why the hell aren't the fans going to these games? Other than the Tech game which sold out they last time TCU sold out was against Texas in 1984! 1984! I mean this is a great team over the last 10 years and they beat Boise State. As long as you win this game you have easy sailing and you deserve to be a BCS bowl not the title game a BCS bowl.
yeah, TCU does have a stronger schedule, but not by much. The teams TCU played so far have only won 7 more games than Boise's, but Boise's opponents have played 8 less games. TCU's is stronger, but not by much. Also, TCU did beat Boise last year, but that was LAST year. Boise has a better defense and a much better offense, and boise only lost by 1 point. This year, Boise would most likely win. And 3, before you say anything else, how can a team drop from #4 to #7 after winning 54-9?
And for the record, Boise State is ranked # 12 in total Offense while they are ranked # 25 in total Defense. TCU's strength of schedule is much harder than Boise States. In addition boise State had a bye the week TCU beat UNLV 56-0. And that is why TCU is ranked way ahead of Boise State.
Actually, Boise's offense is 8 while their defense is 16. TCU's D has played one offense that is in the top 50, while boise has played 8. TCU has played 5 defenses in the top 50, so has Boise. AND, boise has averaged 7 more points on offense on and only 3 more on defense, against better teams! ranking wise tcu's schedule is better, but against what are actually better teams boise's is harder.
I don't know where your getting Boise States Offense and Defense rankings because they are wrong. I'm using the rankings published by the NCAA. So go back and check your numbers. As for BS beating what you consider better teams, keep in mind in those games, they only won by the skin of their teeth. In addition, the Computer rankings, Coaches poll, Harris poll and the AP poll don't think BS play harder teams. The truth is BS scheduled is considered by the majority to be a lighter schedule.
the rankings i've been using are from espn, fox sports, and after reading your comment the official NCAA website, and they all say the same thing. So, your the one who's wrong. and as for "winning by the sking of their teeth," boise's opponents win by good scores. Oregon wins by 20 points per game, fresno 17, BGSU 11, idaho 8, and nevada 29. All of those teams have winning records.
Also, according to those polls, BYU is ahead of Utah. They've both lost to TCU, but BYU lost to unranked Florida state, Utah lost to Oregon, a top ten team. Before you say it's because BYU beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma isn't even ranked anymore. I don't know how that happened, but it shows those rankings really don't tell who's better, they say who they THINK is better. And, Boise beat Oregon ,the PAC-10 champion and #8, which is far more than TCU can say.
TCU has played multiple good teams, they haven't played and elite team according to the BCS. How can you be in the top 10 if you haven't beeten a fellow top 10 team? You can't, it's plain stupid! TCU and Texas are the only teams in the top 10 who don't play a team that was in the top 10 at one point.

You only need to win one game at the end of the season to take the national title, why can't that apply to any other game? See how screwed up the BCS is? But, the team that MIGHT win will go in to the BCS bowl game will go instead of the team that CAN win.
TCU got screwed. If that happens, their will be other organizations that will be allowed to compete with them which can't today because of that anti-trust protection. Now, I can give anyone several reasons why TCU should have gotten into the Championship game. Both, Texas and Cincinnati had to struggle and come from behind to win by 1 point this past weekend. Georgia Tech got their rear ends beat by Georgia last weekend. TCU on the other hand never had to come from behind to win a game this entire year. In addition, they beat everyone in the MWC by an average of 31 points. Did any of the so called "elite teams" do that. Can I please hear a loud NO!

Tonight, on the BCS Bowl announcements on Fox, Jimmy Johnson was very emphatic about TCU stating that, "he has watched TCU all year and there is no doubt in his mind that TCU could beat both Alabama, Texas and Florida and that the Fiesta Bowl was the game he is most interested in watching."

Im a true Kansas State wildcat fan yet for the past 5 years i have fallen for the Frogs and i love that they always can give anyone a run fot there money as a BCS Buster! Then just last season my girlfriends brother signed for TCU and after that they are truely a major part of my favorites. He got redshirted last season and will play this year! im pumped to watch a outstanding team in there own stadium and also be a part of them also! GO TCU!!!

Texas has played good teams, but other than alabama they haven't played a great team. TCU should have gone to the national championship, but after the fiest abowl I see why they didn't. Their offense got embaresed and their defense got lucky. Kellen Moore was not accurate as he usually is, and he had recievers wide open. That was Kellen's fault, not TCU's defense. if he was playing as he usually does, Boise easily cound have scored in the 20s-30s.

Whoever wins between TCU and Boise St. will have proven that they should have been in the championship game. I personally think TCU has the best team in the nation. The top three teams in the MWC are really good. And TCU is by far the best of the three. This coming from a Oregon Duck fan.

In fact as Jimmy Johnson said, and as the ESPN analysts said 2 weeks ago, TCU is a legitimate NC contender and could play with anyone in the country and beat them. BST played a really soft schedule. My prediction about the Fiesta Bowl, TCU 45, Boise State 17. However all we'll know after the game is that TCU should have been in the NCG. As for who will attend? TCU allotment of tickets are sold out.

At fist I wanted TCU to loose, only because it would give Boise a gaurenteed bowl game. BUT, then I found out Florida would play Alabama before the end of the season. Then, I wanted Texas and Cincy to loose, putting TCU in the championship, which would help show how stupid the BCS system is. Texas shoudn't go into the chamionship, they're only ranked high because of last season, and haven't done anything this year to prove they should go.

well they still player a larger number of better teams that TCU does. The best team TCU played was clemson and clemson almost won. plus TCU almost lost to airforce too. texas played a better group of teams than TCU did though. three good teams: Ok. State, Texas A & M, and Nebraska. but theyre all in their conference. but in TCU you guys play one alright team in your conference and thats Brigham Young, who also plays no body but TCU.

Your misleading the facts. TCU played and beat 3 top 25 teams. They beat BYU ranked #16, in Provo, 38-7. They also beat Utah, ranked #8, 55-28. And they beat Clemson #24, in South Carolina playing in the rain.They also beat Virginia @ Virginia, 30-14. They also beat Air Force who was ranked in the top 30, @ Air Force in the snow with the temp. @ 25 degrees. They never play from behind the whole year. If BST, had to play Oregon later in the season than they did, I doubt BST would have won.

They beat all of their opponents by an avg of 40.7 points. Name name another team that did that. Don't waste your time looking it up because there is not another team in the Top 25 that did that. They beat all of their conference opponents by an avg of 31 points. Did any one else in the top 25 do that? No. TCU deserved to play Alabama considering the fact of how poor TX played their last 2 games. TX only beat Nebraska #20 on a last second field goal by 1 measly point.

If you want to talk about cupcake teams, look @ Tex, Ala, and Florida's schedules. TX cupcake teams consisted of,Louisiana-Monroe, Wyoming, @ UTEP. Florida played Charleston Southern, Troy, and South Carolina. Alabamas cupcake teams were Univ of North Texas, and Chattanooga. So, don't start the crap about TCU playing cupcake teams because almost every one does in order to pad their ranking.

I didn't deny they played cupcake teams. All D-I schools do. But look at the rest of their schedules compared to Boise State, TCU, and Cincy. Simply put BS, TCU, and Cincy didn't play any really challenging teams at all, mostly cupcake teams. Whereas Texas, Florida, and especially Alabama faced tough competition throughout the season.

TCU unfortunately had to wait more than a month before they played BST and even though they lost, they still held a team that scored an average of 44 points a game to only 17 points. Gary Patterson got snookered by Chris Peterson just like Stoops did in 2007 and Patterson should have known better.

They will keep getting leap frogged unless everyone is a 2 loss. I think Auburn will lose soon maybe to Bama maybe in the SEC championship. yeah, TCU does have a stronger schedule, but not by much. The teams TCU played so far have only won 7 more games than Boise's, but Boise's opponents have played 8 less games. TCU's is stronger, but not by much. Also, TCU did beat Boise last year, but that was LAST year. Boise has a better defense and a much better offense, and boise only lost by 1 point. This year, Boise would most likely win. And 3, before you say anything else, how can a team drop from #4 to #7 after winning 54-9?

And for the record, Boise State is ranked # 12 in total Offense while they are ranked # 25 in total Defense. TCU's strength of schedule is much harder than Boise States. In addition boise State had a bye the week TCU beat UNLV 56-0. And that is why TCU is ranked way ahead of Boise State.

Actually, Boise's offense is 8 while their defense is 16. TCU's D has played one offense that is in the top 50, while boise has played 8. TCU has played 5 defenses in the top 50, so has Boise. AND, boise has averaged 7 more points on offense on and only 3 more on defense, against better teams! ranking wise tcu's schedule is better, but against what are actually better teams boise's is harder.

I don't know where your getting Boise States Offense and Defense rankings because they are wrong. I'm using the rankings published by the NCAA. So go back and check your numbers. As for BS beating what you consider better teams, keep in mind in those games, they only won by the skin of their teeth. In addition, the Computer rankings, Coaches poll, Harris poll and the AP poll don't think BS play harder teams. The truth is BS scheduled is considered by the majority to be a lighter schedule.

the rankings i've been using are from espn, fox sports, and after reading your comment the official NCAA website, and they all say the same thing. So, your the one who's wrong. and as for "winning by the sking of their teeth," boise's opponents win by good scores. Oregon wins by 20 points per game, fresno 17, BGSU 11, idaho 8, and nevada 29. All of those teams have winning records.

Also, according to those polls, BYU is ahead of Utah. They've both lost to TCU, but BYU lost to unranked Florida state, Utah lost to Oregon, a top ten team. Before you say it's because BYU beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma isn't even ranked anymore. I don't know how that happened, but it shows those rankings really don't tell who's better, they say who they THINK is better. And, Boise beat Oregon ,the PAC-10 champion and #8, which is far more than TCU can say.

Yeah, Boise has beaten 1 ranked team, but accoring to the BCS, one game is enough! You only need to win one game at the end of the season to take the national title, why can't that apply to any other game? See how screwed up the BCS is? Boise got into the Fiesta bowl in 2006 because no one else could really go, and they didn't beat a top 10 team. This year, 2 teams have the chance. Tonight, on the BCS Bowl announcements on Fox, Jimmy Johnson was very emphatic about TCU stating that, "he has watched TCU all year and there is no doubt in his mind that TCU could beat both Alabama, Texas and Florida and that the Fiesta Bowl was the game he is most interested in watching."

Now, anyone making comments here that thinks they know more about college football system and the teams that are playing this year than Jimmy Johnson, I would advise you to step back from the mirror before you nose gets so long it breaks it.

I personally think TCU should be playing in the orange bowl with Georgia Tech and i think Iowa shouldnt even be in such an important bowl. they're just not worthy. they havent done anything to deserve it. like tech who has won the ACC and has an unstoppable offense.

Why is TCU ranked ahead of Boise? The best team TCU has played is no longer even ranked, when Boise beat #9 Oregon, who will win the PAC-10. I do think TCU is great and is definatley a top 10 team, but I don't see how they're better than Boise.

Strength of schedule. Boise beat one ranked team, and the rest have been jokes. TCU will have played multiple ranked teams, as well as other quality teams from quality conferences. Also, if it is a question of which is better, look back to last years bowl season for your answer. Not much has changed since then, Boise has gone undefeated again and TCU improved on last year, so the outcome would be the same.

because boise only plays oregon...everybody else sucks. tcu plays byu and clemson. solid teams. to bad hawaii isnt the old hawaii and the wac isnt even competition. also tcu beat the boise in last year bowl game.

Ill tell you how they're better than Boise. TCU's D is ranked # 4 in the nation and their Offense is ranked #5. In addition, they are wildly considered the fastest team in the nation on both Offense and Defense. Also, TCU has more wins over top 25 ranked teams in the nation over the last 4 years. Who does Boise State play. No one, their schedule is too weak. Your wrong about ranked teams TCU has played. Clemson is currently ranked # 15. BYU was ranked #6 when TCU spanked them in Provo.

they need to match up TCU and BOISE in a BCS both both of those teams deserve it if you ask me TCU and BOISE STATE...could play and beat any team in the country this year....florida and bama are highly overrated..usc is getting better but have not impressed me that much....the only big program that belongs were they are ranked is texas...i think TCU AND BOISE could beat any of those teams...GO BRONCOS!!!

those 4 teams alone are way better than any 4 teams in the pac 10...or the pac 1 as i like to call it...hell right now the first place team in the pac 10 is oregon and Boise State demolished them....and dont even get me started on the big east....The mountain west with boise state in it...is prolly be the third or second most competitive confrence only behind maybe the Big 12 or Sec..and they would give those teams a run for there money...

as a BOISE STATE fan i saw tcu in the poinsetta bowl they are the real deal...it will be a very competitive game....and can someone tell why my Broncos are not in the Mountain West....the Mountain West with Boise State,TCU,BYU,Utah....is way better than the big east or pac 10 in my opinion...it just makes sense Boise has no competition in the Wac....then you could definetly make the case for the Mountain West as an automatic qualifier...

next game is going to be the biggest challenge (vs. byu) this season. tcu is always been good dalton had a great game vs. csu and there d is great. they are the reason boise state didnt go undefeated last year the Y is ready and knows how good the d is but tcu if there offense isnt good there d is. even as a coug, i think tcu is going to go after utah did last year. ( and hopefully win and the MWC becomes bcs) my prediction (if they go undefeaded) is that they will play iowa or miami (fl.)

Go frogs!!!!!! This is definitely their year. Utah, BYU, Clemson. 3 tough games. If they win all three they should go 12-0. I'd go to the sugar bowl if they made it. I don't care how much it would cost. Gotta love ryan Christian. little man lighting it up. Go frogs!

Im a true Kansas State wildcat fan yet for the past 5 years i have fallen for the Frogs and i love that they always can give anyone a run fot there money as a BCS Buster! Then just last season my girlfriends brother signed for TCU and after that they are truely a major part of my favorites. He got redshirted last season and will play this year! im pumped to watch a outstanding team in there own stadium and also be a part of them also! GO TCU!!!
