A friend of mine taught me how to play this on guitar and it sounds just like it, very cool. You place your finger over the bottom two strings on the 7th fret and hit it twice then slide it down to the 3rd fret and hit it twice. It sounds just like the freakin song lol! Now I can impress chicks and get laid
I've read the occasion was meant to be for autographs, but too many people
showed up then. So, they decided to gig.
Imagine... you write songs watching TV in your living room... then you go to the studio, record a lot of tracks... and then, people start showing up wherever your band is... oh, boy.
It reminds me of the end of "Field of Dreams", a Kevin Costner's movie... "people will come, Ray"... only if it was that easy...
that's what he told everyone again and again and wanted everyone to belive and wanted to believe himself, but when it came down to it, he made all his major decisions towards more fame...that could be why he killed himself... cuz he both hated and loved fame but couldn't let go of it even when it was ruining his life...
And I fully believe him mikeq0w1. In my opinion he was too deep a person to desire fame and all the shallowness that comes with it. I think he simply took the opportunity to turn his passion into his job and when that happened he expected a small degree of success but not to sell millions and the mass acceptance that followed.
If you think about it, he INITIALLY tried to spread the name, but right after Nevermind they played live less and less and In Utero is certainly a less commercial sounding album that its predecessor, if commercial-sounding at all.
actually racists were calling him a spokesman people against gays were calling him a spokesman everyone who hated something was calling him a spokesman and they wouldnt let it be and he got really really sick of it and what happened happened
thats true. he went from being basically a loser of society, to famous and idolized really fast. and people expected him to be this great and perfect rockstar.
he was damn near perfect because of all his faults.
society today is pretending to be perfect.. making everyone this robot style living a fantasy of life of corporate jobs.. nirvana was close to earth ;)
For those saying Dave was abusing on drums just don't realise that these kinds of old cameras have very high response to high frequencies (cymbals). Live, I'm pretty sure it was all fine.
If the people only knew how much of an honor it was to see Kurt Cobain in person or even go to one of there concerts.. They are always going to be one of the biggest most imsperational bands in the world. there classic and can prove it.
YEAH!!! So much better than the studio version!!! would sell my SOUL to lucifer himself to have seen them live and get kurt stoned as hell after!!! Major influence on my growing up. :p
