The majority of the tips and recommendations provided are, in fact and quite literally, the opposite of what holds true in live, ensemble play. NO WAY should anyone follow the advice on bass amp tone from someone who posts a video with the completely awful audio this has including background noise and massive clipping. You mentioned it was unprofessional to answer your phone in the middle of the video. It was. It's even worse to post a video with such unacceptable audio levels. You're wasting people's time with this. You didn't do a very good job explaining amp tone by the way.

either your fret fingers are in bad spots, your plucking fingers are going too hard, or your bass neck is too high, because that fret buzz is kinda gross,

what i do with my amp is i have bass at 6, mids at 8 and treb at 7 to get a bit of a mid ridge, and i like the fat sound, but only if im running something over 100 watts, or else it can't go loud enough for me, so yea under 100 i go with a mild mid scoop, but yea i got a boss GE-7 for the 7 band because only 3 isn't enough

Hey man, I am not trying to sound like a dick or anything, but scooping the mids is like the worst thing you can do. Sure it sounds good when playing by yourself, but scooping the mids while playing with a band will get you lost in the mix. Try turning up the mids, but not too much, turn down treble just a bit and add just a bit of bass.

@HrapovikPlush Depending on the style of music. If your getting drowned out by guitarist who scoop then yes make up for it by throw mids in there. But a good guitarist doesn't scoop cause it looses lots of tone for guitar. That aside it really depends on the style of music. Reggae needs lows . Punk needs mids cause its very bass drivin.. I'd say your settings depend on the style of music, in a band situation. .. Also your own style. If your a heavy slap bass. You Want Punchy And highs.

Also Jazz has punchy and mids. Its your sound + music style. Its what you want to sound like.... As for active basses. .. Also position of fingers plucking (or pick or slap).. Like a jazz bass vs P Bass Vs PJ bass. its up to you.
