  • ok all of this beauty crap alllll has to do with everyine trying to impress everyone who is the oppisite gender:

boys- try to impress girl by having abs and muscles and being ripped and fit

girls- try to impress guys buy thinking they have to have big boobs, a nice butt, and a nice body

we r all very shallow americans who only care about the outside when its the inside that counts! every single one of us are beautiful, ladies! Dont let men ruin our lives!!! :) :) whos with me!

  • Sjm8097 or watever yea right sur there are very few underwere commercials for men but how many are there for woman thousands if not millions were under so much pressure

  • as i write this i will say i'm not black but why don't they have a commerical like this about a black girl. yes it is hard for all females but lighter skin is by society considered to be beautiful. having hair like an African American is hard difficult as well. not tragic but still.

  • hahaha im a girl, i just have compassion for both genders and the problems all teenagers in general go through...

  • It is extremely hard for girls in today's society but boys have pressures about their looks as well, shouldn't there be more of these vids for boys maybe?

  • @94Maj

Nahh, you boys fuck up our lives. You're the ones we're trying to impress. So if I were you, just chill.

  • <3

  • I remember being in 3rd grade and thinking I was fat.

  • I think guys suffer from being body conscious, because girl's have judged them in the past. So the more girls judge guys appearances, guys judge girls. It just keeps getting worse and worse. I don't think it's completely media. Sure, they might get some influence, but I think it is all people's words. If people could just learn to be nicer, than we wouldnt care about ads.

  • I agree with this, but not only girls are under pressure from the Media. Boys have it just the same. Ever herd of the "Crisis of Masculinity"?

  • @ollytennant *heard

  • Not only girls are under pressure ! It has to be noticed that boys DO suffer from this the same !

  • With these ads are trying to help an important cause but I can't help but wonder if you can't feel good about yourself on your own and you need someone to tell you, you have problems. I'm not the most beautiful but I don't care I make it up for my intelligence. clearing something that isn't the case for people who blindly eat this stuff up.

  • @hannabeth32

So you disagree with the ads? Of course people will need someone else to tell them to feel good about themselves...after all, someone else told them to feel bad about themselves....

  • @Siliven And plus the company doesn't care It's just another way to make money. Dove also made Axe body, and with the ads aren't pro female. So they don't care. And plus if someone told someone to feel bad about yourself just tell them to feck off.

  • @hannabeth32

Well, yeah, of course they want money. What company actually cares? But if they are going to be making money, at least they are also trying to promote something good. Even if it is for the wrong reasons. At least someone...is trying to get the message across. It's all for money, but then...so is everything else.

  • @hannabeth32

There's such a thing as multiple marketing groups or firms. A group of people they may be using to promote Axe isn't necessarily the same one they are using to make these commercials. They're a company so of course they want profit for what they do. That doesn't make what they're doing any less meaningful. I say it doesn't matter, the girls that attend these work-shops are learning about healthy body image and feeling better about themselves, Dove employees get their pay cheques.

  • Why is it that the most meaningless and insulting posts generally come from idiot Americans? Makes me despise being from that capital nation of tripe, filth, stupidity and greed.

  • @stonedogtx Lol~ Wow xD Those "Idiot Americans" You Refer To Are Mostly Meanies Who Have Nothing Better To Do Than Make The Meaningless And Insulting Posts xP But I Assure You, Not Every American Wastes Their Life Making Rude Comments Like Those. Just Like Not All Arabs Are Terrorists; Not All Germans Are Nazis, Etc.

Sadly, It's The Bad Things That Seem To Make Themselves Known More - And Then Everyone Gets Judged By It. It Sux =(

  • love this.

    so beautiful, and so true.

all women are equal, and can do anything.

    You go ladies!

    make a difference:)

  • i think it is both sides, the media let us think that guys like sexy looking girls and you'll be popular and the media tels boys that looking sexy gives you gorgous woman and status of power. both sides are rick'roll'd i gues they've pick'd up the right word to call it ''media'' ''medea'' ''Medeia'' a witch that trick people, they have sure trick us.

  • @NewZealandParkour

First of all, instead of you, some people dont have to ''work'' to look just as good as 'guys'

second, find someone who cant get anyone better fall in love? Oh, i dont think you get the whole point of being beautiful, its about self-esteem. i feel bad for your future girlfriend/wife/child. i hope someday you change your vision, and stop posting on youtube vids that are meant to make a difference.

xoxo. a thirtheen year old girl from the netherlands.

  • @MoreMellow i stand by what i said. it takes little effort to get a good body and look good. self respect and self esteem comes with it.

  • @NewZealandParkour

If you MUST act like a total idiot,

    and post your pathetic comments,

please could you leave New Zealand out of your name?

We like to let people know that not everyone here is as pathetic and small minded as you :)

  • @jessybubblz actually most of the population is semi retarded here. also as a personal trainer i see every shaped person come into the gym, and they all want the same thing. to have the body of a actress they've seen or a model. which they could almost all easily obtain, but they lack the will power or simple intelligence to reach that goal. i stand by what i said

  • sorry ment youtube *****

  • boys you dont know what its like to be a girl, so dont say your under more pressure it isnt a contest.. if YOU want a boy dove thing YOU go to dove and complain, just sitting back and letting things be the way they are wont change anything, its YOUR act that will change. I'm changing for my school, im a girl but some of me and my leadership students created girl pride within the school! make guy pride, show girls you have pressures too,, hunny sorry but bitching on facebook wont change anything.

  • Guys are under pressure the same as girls yes but more girls fall into the pressure then guys do and alsooo this is an add for just girls because mainly girls use dove products and if guys do they dont admit it thats why dove made a dove thing just for guys.

  • Why hasn't this gotten more views?

  • I personally think these workshops are sexist. Boys are under WAAAY more influence than girls. Look at the number of commercials about "getting the perfect 6-pack" or axe (run by dove LOL) deodorant suggests that boys should use the product and get girls really fast. These commercials are VERY sexist if you think about it...

  • @doghouse144 Nah, I Agree That Both Men & Women Are Under Pressure, But Not One More Than The Other. Media Targets Both And That's Just How It Is (Media Is A Jerkface~) I Personally Don't See These Workshops As Sexist Since Their Main Purpose Is To Help Females. (To Me It's Kinda Like Saying The Female Restrooms Are Sexist Because Only Females Can Use Them xD) But Making A Workshop For Men Would Be A Great Thing To Do, And I Seriously Think They Should Implement One

  • Right after I saw this ad on TV, a Botox commercial came on.

  • I love what Dove is doing...but, ironically, Dove is run by the same company as AXE. They're really just two-faced and in it for the money.

  • I am not sure why you cant see through the cuteness in this ad.

Essentially, the ad implies that girls are stupid and have no self esteem!

Its just packaged in a cool shock video.

  • all i wanna say is thank you dove for the self esteem workshops. girls need them. :)

i feel proud to say i buy dove soap aha.

but seriously dood, the orange kind is amazing :) go fresh! :p

  • Also, even if the girl is beautiful, like the one in this commercial, they think they need to change cause you see all these skiny, basically interexiet models with nose jobs, boob jobs, etc done makes you look bad in your eyes. But those pretty girls on ads mean nothing to society. I personally dont like them. I am proud of dove for doing this. Its buliding selfesteem. See that pretty girl crieing? Its cause of those fake girls you see on posters. Now they have Real women not plastics.

  • Beauty is an indicator for genetic fitness.

If people want to shed extra pounds or care for their skin more, what's wrong with that?

Why is Dove telling us to stay stagnant in our ugly, unhealthy state?

  • Dove is not telling anyone to stay in an unhealthy state. Someone wanting to work out and lose weight for health or just wanting to put makeup for fun is completely fine and I don't think that Dove is against that. What dove is trying to get at are the girls who no matter whether they are thin or thicker feel they are ugly and need to change, not for health but because they feel they fail societies standards. For those who see makeup not as an option but as a necessity before leaving the house.

  • Dove wants these women to realize that the worlds definition of beauty is not beauty. Instead of focusing on what we don't like to focus on our beautiful parts, that each one of us has one.

Someone can be fit and beautiful in everyone's eyes but their own. Dove wants to change the way people are thinking about themselves.

  • Listen here, these girls are like 7 years old. They do want to look good. And whne all these people that think they are better walkin around rubbing it in their faces, it hurts. I mean ALL your models are INTEREXIET!!! They dont eat all all. Being your self is a beautiful thing. I guess no one raised you to think that your beautiful by being who you are. Those models you see on ads, are fake!!! GET IT? FAKE!! They are not real women! They are people but they are not the real thing!

  • whine harder

  • ....Dove is telling the girls in the workshops that ITS OKAY TO BE WHO YOU ARE and!! that everyone is beautiful, which includes little girls who are being pressured to be like the girls on billboards and poster who are considered "hot".

  • Whenever you watch these... something in side of you shifts to a good side... dove IS helping many girls... lets just hope it stays that way :)

  • Greenpeace is saving TREES

    DOVE is saving GIRLS.

Thank you DOVE for telling girls the truth.

    : )

  • i love this video it's so tue and beautiful .

  • Girls have it so hard...

  • @Alavistaven2012 don't give me that crap it's not only girls who face pressure to look good, guys face as much pressure if not more pressure to look good

  • @sjm8890 just as much, but certainly not more.

  • odd but true

  • Ha! Jackass

  • 4nd? lol

  • It's her hair, genuis.

  • i love this! what is the song, or is it made for the commercial?

  • I promise to think of myself as a beautiful person.
