good job very few people on youtube have tried to learn the original; Its incredibly hard to play i think you did an awesome job =D......are you playing by memory cause you dont move the sheet music in front of you?
@carschasing yes, I actually play by memory. There's no other way for me, cause if I can't read sheet music fast...that's way I learn slowly new pieces, cuz I have to see the notes try to play it, and I don't have the technique to play it at first sight
Good attempt at Passion. I suggest just listening to the actual piano version and just get it stuck in your brain. Then, keep practicing your version and make it more fluent. I think that's what you had the most trouble with, getting it all to flow smoothly.
Anyways, I know what it feels like to be frustrated about things not going the right way when playing the piano. Trust me, it took me a while to learn this song too.
its rather easy. i learned in a week. all you do is play through it no matter the tempo. i just said forget the tempo and played it at a slower speed then gradually started to play it faster. if i had a vid cam i would show you all. but i dont so yeah! go job thatt song is awsome!
2 Words. So Freaking Awesome ! Go you! Gratz on learning it ! Its gonna take me forever to learn. But it's my dream to conquer this piece! Thanks for Motivating me even more !
AMEN to that, the second page is so freaking hard, there's like a million notes playing at once. lol, but once u learn it, post it, i would love to hear it
Saku has a point. Play Pianoly, I mknow thats not a word but what it means is to learn the song and fit either your own style into it, the pedal for example, when I heard my students and son talking about this song, I practiced it for 2 days got it perfect then added some fff, pp, and cont. ped to the score using Sibelius. I do not see why you cant get it perfect, I can see you do it though. Also if you plan on taking music in University avoid the last note hit like you did. Profs hate that.
the song was really good, but it would have been 10 times better if you used the pedal more so it would sound more legato instead of so choppy... other than that, it was good ^_^
is it not on grades that they do exams in where ever you're from? i'm on grade 8. by that i mean in piano exams. i'm from Ireland nd we don't do grades in school.
I guess I didn't understand you, I was talking about school. On the piano I don't have a grade I just choose what I want to play and try learning it step by step with my teacher :]
Its good that you have been playing for 2 years, way to tackle it. I myself have been playing for 40 years and i must say impressive. Use the pedal to manipulate ur sounds so that if you fall behind on the rythm ur audience wont know you stopped. I have done many broadway shows as lead pianist, I'll post this song for you guys in about 2 weeks time, so you can hear it. Good Job!
Awesome job. I wish you'd use pedal through the beginning though. Take a look at some of the rythems, especially for the left hand throughout the 16th notes after the intro, and practice those 16th note runs at the three minute mark. Keep your tempo consistant at 03:20, too. You're honestly not far from perfecting this song. You've done an awesome job with practicing. Glad I could inspire you; you have too much talent to have have any inspiration.
