i been using that uploader for years now. the old old single file uploader was way broken long ago. i use it on my other channel when i upload small videos but on this channel i always use bulk uploader. someimtes it is quicker than others.

When I use the single (or rather, up to 10) video uploader, I seem to have a gazillion Mbps connection: the file seems to get uploaded up to 99% in a matter of seconds, but the progress bar never reaches 100%. Then I suddenly lose all Internet connections because of an "unknown network error," and when I restart the browser it appears that I no longer have a DNS. In same cases my PC even crashes with a blue screen of death and an IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message! The bulk uploader works fine.

My problems with the single uploader are nowhere near as severe than that but yeah, the bulk one works fine.

probably because the coders were assigned to add a bunch of crap to the single uploader and forgot to add it to the multi. :) hahaha Yeah, the single uploader got way slower recently. Prob more copyright checking bullshit they added in to check the audio etc.

I *used to* gave this in Chrome as well, but for some reason I only have it in MSIE and Firefox now. Maybe I screwed up the Gears settings in Chrome...

Well, I find that if you want to add a long description, you can type it all up nicely in notepad and then paste it in. Still a PITA but manageable.

There are a few problems, first of all you need to download Gears.

Secondly it is not supported by all browsers.

It is not supported by Opera. Only by Opera Mobile. Don't ask.

Ugh. It's supported by IEEEEK and FireFucks though, and I would imagine Google Chrome, after all it's all one big happy google family isn't it? ISN'T IT? [giggles hysterically]

I wouldn't suggest changing browsers, by the way, but you COULD of course install FireFox, and just keep using Opera for all your browsing, but use FF for uploads only. Just like I use IE exclusively for checking Windows Updates

I have FF installed. But the problem is that I already use that for another youtube account. And logging in and logging out, becomes a bit tedious.

And actually since they "fixed" it the last time, I have not experienced any problems..

And I don't have IE :P
