I kind of like the fact that Canada, Mexico and the United States are partners, I would never want to see them give up their sovereignty. If we are truly partners, then why can't we simply work together to develop the types of societies we would like to live in. If we can't seem to make a go of it as partners, why would annexation be any different? The same players would be involved, except for under Annexation or North American Union, power is consolidated into the hands of a few.

He stated we need more integration, more harmonization, labor mobility etc. Regardless of how many Americans or Canadians wan't it or don't want it, it's happening and its happening right now!

Well...we have 26MM+ legal ethnic Mexicans here as well as another 12MM illegal Mexicans = 38MM ethnic Mexicans already in the USA. There are 105MM Mexicans in mexico. As such, we already have 1/4 of the world's Mexicans. Why not grab the other 75% and get some land out of it?

Should have done it in the Mexican-American War of 1845, the State of Yucatan actually offered it if we helped them with put down the Indian revolt, we refuse thou. and instead Mexico used that money they got from selling California to do it and regain then Then independent state of Yucatan.(Declared independents about the same time as Texas for same reason).
