The first question is because it was developed in collaboration with PSA (Peugeot and Citroen's parent company). To answer the second question its not related to the yaris in which that model is based on the Japanese market Vitz.

Am i missing something? Although the Peugeot and the Citreön are build in the same factory, they still have two doors less. So that a point for Toyota ... and: The other two have never competed in any Aygo-Football-Match, so they are not soccerproofed.

@bigcrowfly it's like the cooper mini 1, a couple years ago, they had a diesel one in england and it got 93 mpg and sold for about 1000 quid, over here, you can only get the regular minis that have been de-tuned to get about 38 mpg (I know the sticker says higher but my RA in college has one and it's a bit lower) and they cost well over 25000 after you add just the basic cold weather package!
