  • but when you type ipconfig, it shows ur computer's ip..not other's..

  • try ipconfig/all

  • i tried the remote shutdown at school and the cmd came up with access denied is there any way round this

  • So if i got someones ip from another city or summat cud i shut their comp down?

  • no only in your own network (in house)

  • anyone who knows how to bypass administrator account while you are logged in a limited account?

  • just use cmd to do that to

  • hey wat is error 5 thats at happend every tome use cmd?????

  • i get access denied when i try the shutdown thing :(

  • it says access denied why is it? could someone please explain to my why it says access denied?

  • dude can we make the shutdown trick to computers which are not into lan... i mean, if we know theis ip address, can make this? for example, i want to shoutdown my friend's pc which is some kms away. but i know his ip.. can i do this?

  • It saids Access Denied when i try and shutdown my bros comp

  • Half-Life power!

  • everytime i type ipcinfic it only shows my computers ip add even thought i am connected to the other computer

  • Well the command is "ipconfig" minus quotatiions. That is probably your first mistake. =]

  • you mean like this?

    ipconfig - "

  • it dose not show any computer names evertime i type shutdown -i

  • peep this.

    Try Net User

Then you should get a list of Users who use that computer.

THen follow the steps in teh video after 3:00 in to the video.

  • yeah but it only shows the admin and the current user account or the limited account

  • how do i do that password thing for a limited account? i dont think u can but when i tried it says access denied error 5 has occurred etc. but it works on the admin account

  • i was wondering

would this work with the ms-dos on windows 2000

because i know the dialog box doesnt apear but i think there is a way

    u got any ideas

  • well the system might not know the shortcut seens how it was made 8 odd years ago..

you can try putting in the run menu "command" minus the " ", and then see if that works.. if not i know another way.. but to long to type here.. PM if this does not work.

  • your not using a limited account

  • Thanks Captain.

Its just showing you how to do it.

  • well then change your video title to better present the TRUTH!

  • lmao. "fuck with their folders or w/e you have to do" great tutorial man

  • it used to work now it dosnt for some lame reason probly some fkn firewall or somthen i reckon its heaps lame man orwell what can ya do

  • just do net view in cmd it will tell u the computer name of the 1 u wanna shutdown then copy it then past it in the add computer box then ur good to go

  • for some reason when i try to do it, a message comes back and says access deined. do u know why?

  • are both the delivering and receiving computers windows XP? if so then i have not a clue.. but if they one or both are Vista... then you cannot do this unless you get physical access to the Vista computer and set it a Remote Desktop up yourself..

  • do you know if this works on vista? because i had xp a few weeks ago and i was doing this to my brother but i recently downloaded windows vista and i type in shutdown -i in the cmd promt and it says something about not a batch file or internal command so if you can tell me thanks

    P.S nice vid =)

  • im sorry to say acutally no it doesnt...

i tried it on Vistas operating system and no it does not...

for some reason you have to set it up special on the computer that has vista installed.
