  • SHIT! His english is fucking perfect!

  • what mixer is that?

  • british or amarican

  • happybirthday armin!

  • so professional, proves why he's always the king..guess the cdj's are in the right hands..

  • how much this shit costs ?)

  • @MoTaNxI7eTpoBu4 read the model number, subtract the CDJ and what ever is left is how much its costs in USD :(

  • @MoTaNxI7eTpoBu4 Over 3000 eur lol

  • WTF!! Never heard such a mix of a dutch and english accent in my life haha XD

  • @TheNoWayHoZay Yeah he was working on a british accent at the time :D

  • Skip the intro: 0:23 ! :D

  • "Its great becouse you can be at your house preparing your set or you can be on the plane preparing your set" SRSLY? Does he actually think that we all have private jets ??

  • @DesconectadosTV shut up! it's just an advice for djs! 99% of djs have a plane! and secondly armin is just telling how comfortable this CDJ is! he never said " oh yeah go and buy it, and also bro buy a plane" SEROUSLY! WAKE UP! He is giving just an advice!!

  • @DesconectadosTV

No. He doesn't think we have private jets. He never mentioned private jets. He said plane. As in public transport, as in the most common mode of transport used by DJ's booked for international gigs.

was that so SRSLY hard to understand ? you handicapped cunt ?

  • Well......I certainly did NOT say bye to vinyl :-)

  • armin you need some sleep bro

  • @cdispanurat he has been like that since 2005. Nite life is killing him..

  • I FUCKING HATE clicking on the meadle of the screen intending to play the video, but nooo. this shit fuckin redirects to the channel agrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Hey guys. At about 2:10 and 2:24 Armin talks about the CDJ playing "2Bit" music.. Sorry I'm an amateur, what does that actually mean? For example, I buy most of my music off iTunes and Beatport etc. Does it just mean how good the music is? Is it different to 320kps, WAV etc? Thanks!!

  • @Dinimess2k7 24bit WAVs he uses (not 2 bit, that would be shit) , that is the highest audio quality possible for a human ear and modern circuitry. It's important for gigantic audio systems on concerts, that's why he uses it, get it? :)

Even for 90% of clubs 320 kbps MP3 are just fine, you should be good with them =], though you might hear some digital noise on good systems or when pitch bending. Beatport WAV is teh best.

  • @kernelzz Ah I see, thank you very much, now I understand! So am I correct in saying that there are different types of WAV? You can get different ranges of it? Does Beatport sell 24Bit WAV?

  • @Dinimess2k7 no, beatport has 16bit wavs, but that's totally enough… he said he uses "24bit versions of MY tracks" which are his own studio masters. I have yet to find a dance music store that sells studio masters…

And, yes, WAVs could be different, they could even be worse than 320 MP3s. It's all in the bitrate, not format (Note: Mp3 just can't be higher than 320 kbps) =]

  • @kernelzz Awesome, that makes sense! Thanks a lot dude! Just one more question, how do I find out what bit rate my songs are on iTunes? Under the "info" tab of each song it just says 256 or 320 etc. Where can I find out whether it's 16bit?

  • @Dinimess2k7 you have to right click a track and press "Get Info"… I'm on a Mac, so it might be different…

also MP3's have a different encoding method, so they don't actually have a "static" bit depth that iTunes will show. (16 bit - bit depth, 48 kHz - sampling rate, 320 - bit rate = correct names)

  • 100 tunes in 64gb ?!

  • @navaloncho

he even said in WAV format...1 song in wav is ALOT bigger then a mp3 in 320kbps

  • @supergovno1 still a bit incorrect… a 10 minute 24 bit stereo WAV (assuming a 48 kHz sample rate) is less than 200 Mb ,

    so 64 Gb / 0.2 Gb = minimum 320 tracks

  • i would like to be left in this room just for a couple of hours...

  • @DJGPR2 I have this same set up.

  • I Have the 4rmx Hercules for now, and it is great, but I would love to get a pair of pioneers

  • so why burn at x2?

  • hes amazed by having 200 songs...

  • @nax247 200 songs On WAV Format not MP3,, WAV is not as compressed like MP3 format,, which means better quality music, good for Pro use in big clubs where you want the best sound......

  • hey armin! this will be my future gear for sure!

  • i think arm-in love

  • hey whats up its armin van buren! and YOUR IN A STATE OF TRANCE!!!!!!

  • Laidback Luke explained everything but Armin like always only speak...

  • it's true because each track is like 11mb cause it should be 320 kbps which is higher quality

  • @Zelusispro 320kbps is no where near high quality! Uncompressed WAV (24-bit) is what you should always use.

  • wow, 100-200 songs for 64gb...is that true or is armin making a mistake?

  • @SexyBuilder1888 In wav format (uncompressed)

  • @SexyBuilder1888 in "WAV" format, not mp3

  • @SexyBuilder1888 i think it a mistake haha. I have like more than that its like 7-8 GB

  • i love you armin <3

  • its still hard saying bye to vinyl but i can't imagine anyone giving a shit about cds.

  • wonderful players! I got the urge to sell my car for em

  • wow who knew he can speak English so well! HE almost has an English accent:)

  • @latifi1 Yeah that's because he's more abroad than at home

  • this is a geat equip this not a toy!

  • is he dutch?

he can speak ecnglish very well

  • @palimpalim121 yep, and yep... he speaks english very smooth and understandable...

  • does it have to be usb? or can it be from an ipod as well?

  • @bestkoji yes, even my mobile phone works on it with a usb cable, and u don't have to put everything in the root of your ipod because the pioneer tabletops can recognize maps so u can store al u different genre's in different maps ;)

  • when these cdj-2000 came out???...i read comments here from 10 months ago....

  • Holland !!!

  • bla bla bla ... y a que hora se pone a tocar? lo que quiero es verlas funcionar buuu cuanto le pagaron nada mas por hablar?

  • @osivanxalip1 pienso lo mismo !!

  • Armin Van burin!!! hahahaa...

  • Does anyone know the font used in 0:20 - 0:23min? Looks very nice - ow and yeah, AvB rocks!

  • what do pacemakers do ?

  • @fadyadelnageeb it's a mini dj mixer/console. U can load tracks in it like an iPod and beatmatch, throw in effects and just mix.

  • how much are those....??

  • DJM700

  • @kleinejonas123 Thankyou atleast some1 is a proper dj and knows their gear like I do because that tit who works for pioneer is saying its a djm 800 when its obviously not or you would be abl to see the colour effects

  • you can tell armin could have been very successful in many fields. this video shows how much of a leader the guy is ya kknow?! every single thought is expressed eloquently in his speech. most people could talk like this but they probably gotta be jacked up on coffee or something!

  • @imanildj how do you know that he was not high on coffe??

  • @aragonesm you're right he may very well be on something haha

  • ga beat maken ofsow

  • sorry but the mixer is a djm 700...if u look closely it has the dedicated master filter knob...and it doesnt have the color effects...the djm 800 has 4 fader start buttons...this mixer only has 2

  • the mixer is a djm 700

  • @hulsbeek1985. First I'd like to say I have a pair of these CDJs with a DJM800. But let me ask you something. Say you go to a mechanic and you get your car fixed. Do you care how your car gets fixed or do you just care that the job got done? Same as being a DJ as long as you can move the crowd and get the job done it does NOT matter what you do. Be humble my friend.

  • Let me clear something up... there are some wannabe's out there using two iPods and a mixer to perform. This is insane! I want to know the pros and cons when using iPods with Pioneer CDJs as storage media. In the video, he mentioned usb flash drives being durable, he said nothing about iPods.

  • deejaying with ipod is noob....

  • mhm

  • so true :)

  • iPods are just used as storage media.

It's like saying "DJs use DVD-rom, not CD"......It makes the pissiest of differences.

It doesn't change a damn thing. Your a charlatan pretending to be a purist bud. Get with the program.

  • Don't forget back in the day we had to carry crates of records! All over the world! (like 80lbs of luggage let alone the security checks) now you carry 10,000 records in your pocket. ALSO most white labels are in cd form, and if your your bangin out a tune you just made, you now have access to DVD quality sound (24 bit! HUGE DEAL) something a 12'' would never be able to do.. and yes the dj you see at the local bar who is just using his ipod is a noob OR maybe he was just in a bind??

  • Why don't I see any dj's using iPods more?? Is there something that I don't know? Because iPods hold songs by the thousands and you can arrange several playlists on them. They are more durable then usb drives and cds NUTS!!!! :-) just kidding, but really... what's the load time on iPods??? anybody??

  • Why are you so stupid...a flac or wav has -+ 70 mb....it's hard with the kids sometimes.

  • shit is getting way too complicated.. more emphasis needs to be placed on PLAYING GOOD MUSIC not onTOYS

  • @miamiwax all you need is cue and play

  • @miamiwax i do agree with u completely, but still u gotta love these new toys!!!

  • oh shut up

  • @miamiwax or embracing technology along with good track selection. new technology allows talented dj's to go beyond beatmatching and allows for a lot of creativeness on the fly. But I guess i is a fine line because you can press as many buttons as you want but if it sounds like shit then it's still shit.

  • @miamiwax hey hes number 1 dj so i dunno what ur talkin bout

  • @miamiwax Anything more than beatmatching and crossfading is not worth dancing too am I right??!

  • @miamiwax What about playing good music on good toys?

  • @miamiwax I REALLY AGREE WITH YOU! THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT! :) Music is the spirit for having fun :)

  • " I know it was hard to say good bye to vinyl ", What the fuck is he talking about. I just ordered 12 vinyls online. And at the end i will have more tracks on vinyl then armin van buuren will have on cd's.

It's possible that vinyl will be longer on the world then cd's, Because of the come of the laptop dj. Midi controllers and usb sticks makes it not neccesary to use cd's anymore.

What i use is traktor scratch pro ( timecode controlled ) and vinyl off course.

    Peace

  • HOW DUMB you can get like 1000+ songs on 64gb

  • Not in WAV format yo

  • @Fermonos1 He said WAV format , size of a tune is way bigger then a mp3 track ... :)

  • @tgjimo You are so right

    Thanks

  • you right

  • 2 CDJ 2000

    DJM 800

    HDJ 2000

    Pacemaker

    Apple mac

    2 SPEAKERS

  • No, not DJM 800 but DJM 700 ;)

  • @MasterBeatzRyan It's a DJM-700, not a 800.

  • @MasterBeatzRyan and amp lol

  • @MasterBeatzRyan Honestly fuck the peace maker i used one last night there shit

  • @MasterBeatzRyan +bitchin settup

  • @MasterBeatzRyan its a djm 700

  • where can i get those?

  • 64 gigs? 100-200 tunes :O?

  • .wav

  • still 200 tunes in waw have about 16GB

  • I want that mac

  • Armin loves looping funcition. But he doesn't use it in his mixes. Must be good money Armin ha?

  • @Safalta05 Haa, you say it! xD

  • @Safalta05

he had to say it! :))) Armin is bastard! :)

  • 5 thousand kicks

  • just ordered this haha

  • okey stop talking hahahahahahha

  • nice but , you can get good stuff for half the price, a good dj can do his stuff without the best

  • although the best seem to always have the best equiped but wtv lol

  • nice shirt armin!

  • wouldnt think he was from holland lol

  • Average DJ John Doe can't afford them unless they got CC to maxed out with :P

  • wow-thats great!

but you guys from pioneer still have no plan-whats the thing to build up things solid!!!

plastic will do the job....for what? some months?! than it will look like a 1700$ fisherprice cd player...

    great!

go out buy this i will get 2 mk3's for price of one...

    less is more

    peace!

  • my pioneers are plastic played them hard for a year and no wear what so ever

  • Thats a Djm 700 the sound FX is not there

  • quiero formar parte de su staff de dj. y hacer una entrevista

  • as awesome as these look, i hate that this thing quantizes your loops for you... What's the point of mixing when the turntable does it for you?

  • 1:45 ok. lets buy a 2000$ cd player. -____-

  • haha... why would they put a DJM 700, something that is one step backward in terms of mixers, on their new flagship model demonstration video?

DJM comes in black, but that is clearly an 800.

and the reason he uses wav as opposed to mp3 is because mp3 is just the smaller brother of the wav, with the sound just stuck to whatever bitrate you encode at. wav is as close as you get to lossless when compared to mp3.

  • Sorry to say but that is the djm 700, you can see that is dosent have the sound color fx, also the filters of each channel that the 800's has isnt there...

  • @aceada you are right... just turned on my own 800 and i dont see the sound color fx buttons (distinctive blue glow of 4 buttons)... and then there are the two odd looking white pips around the headphone area, which are fader start for chan 1 and chan 2, as opposed to the 4 pips you would see on a DJM 800

  • shit is overpriced

  • Comment removed

  • its an 800 dummb shit

  • It's the 800, the 700 is silver...

  • Yea, the black ones are the 800's

  • 700 can come in black actually, just saying ^^

  • The DJM 700 comes in Silver and Black, however the mixer in this video is a DJM-800. Thanks for your comments

  • @pioneerdjsounds Nooooot xD omg, they don't know their own products xD

  • @pioneerdjsounds Wow I hope you dont work for pioneer because as you should know their are 4 blue colour effect buttons on the djm 800 and there is know little round blue flashing light on it on the right so the mixer in this video is a djm 700...what a fool.

  • @pioneerdjsounds Wow i hope you dont work for pioneer because as you should know their are 4 colour effect buttons on the left off the djm 800 mixer and you can see them when its turned on and this mixer is turned on and their are no colour effect buttons you know why... because its a djm 700.

  • @pioneerdjsounds also the djm 800 does not have the little round blue button for the effect on the right but the djm 700 has and you can see it flashing on the right of the mixer which when veiwing the video would be your left haha what an idot.

  • actually its a DJM 700, theres no color FX on the mixer in this video

  • goodbye to mp3, i love vinyl!

  • at 1:16 sec is sooooooo true!!!!!

  • which model of mixer he uses?

    anyone plz reply :)

  • the mixer on the table is the djm-800

  • thx

  • Yes it is a DJM-800 :0)

  • @pioneerdjsounds i got these, Pioneer CDJ-2000 #FTW

  • @pioneerdjsounds No it isnt you idiot go and look up the djm 800 and you will see that it has 4 colour effect buttons that you can sse when its turned on and the mixer in this video is turned on and there are no colour effect buttons because its a djm 700, omg your so stupid and your name is "PIONEER"dj sounds hahaha obviously dont know what you are doing at that place then haha.

  • @wexboardcast Denon jeje.

  • he looks like the comedian russell howard off mock the week.

  • OMG so true

  • "64 Gb used up by 100-200 tunes." They must be some long ass tunes.

  • Well, he did say "in WAV format" so we're talkin 60-90mb per track roughly.

  • he said wav files , wav files are huge man

  • Comment removed

  • If you're playing anything other than .WAV files you are playing inferior quality.

  • @jamesLG1 320kpbs is enough

  • no, it isnt

  • @jamesLG1 yes it is

  • I think some1 else said that before Paul Oakenfold BUT OKEY... POINT ACKNOWLEDGED...

  • Always wondered what he sounded like. Lol!

  • he used to sound dutch, maybe hes living in london now or something? dunno but that aint no dutch accent lol

  • Nope it sure aint dutch. Lol.

  • Did I just hear him say his devices burn CDs at 2x? Armin, Armin, Armin....it's not 1996 anymore, time to upgrade my good man ;)

  • His ADVICE is to burn cd's at 2x

    Listen DUDE!

  • Yeah, any faster and you can lose quality.

  • When u burn music into CDs it is recommended by any and every DJ to burn at 2X so it records perfectly on the CD without a problem. So no need for upgrade, it's just his technique.

  • the cdj's 2000 do look good and sound superb.

of course combined with all the pioneer set up,it's difficult to go wrong.

But i do think it is far too expensive.

    don't forget,were are in a recession.

  • HOw much is it?
