Every song i heard this song in "Ray" the movie i feel in love with it. You can't hate on the old heads cause they the ones that started it all. Got to truly say even though i ain't from Georgia this song got her on my mind.
Very great. But I think less photos whould be okay too. Because sometimes 10 photos can say more (while being longer on screen) than 50 "short photos". Art is selection. ;-)
hey world! we have to keep changing for the better. With music we can overcome and communicate with the heart and truth.... Good luck world keep the true love and peace flowing not my words ...it's up to you ..

j'adore cette chanson !! j'adore ray charles tout simplement ! mon père me faisait écouter sa quand j'avais 7 ans il y a maintenant 7 ans ^^ enfin bref pour dire que c'est superbe se qu'il fait !!!!!
god has sent home all of the great artist of our era that's why music suckss..he wishes for us to suffer the days to come with no relief in real music ...get ...ready
Having moved from New England to the South, I love it here. People are real and actually have values and dignity. There might be a sorted history , but the people are warm and cordial. I can't believe I put off moving for so long. I love it here.
Good to hear your thoughts about Southerners. I am 6th generation grandson to General Robert E(dward) Lee whom was regarded by many -- both during his time as well as afterwards -- to be a total gentleman.
I was stationed in Berlin, Germany during the Crises Years in the early-60s when Mr. Charles came and played at the Sports Palace. My buddy Stan from Baltimore and I had 3rd row seats right in front of the piano. And I want to tell you, that's when I took in the Genius R. C. for the first time!!
I will remember that night for as long as I live. It was fabulous!
no the south isnt like anywhere else...i was born and raised in baton rouge, louisiana. recently relocated to milwaukee, wisconsin .the difference? like night and day. people here arent friendly, food sucks, large variety of beer though and i just miss that everday southern humility.
Reminiscing in such a fashion is no way to be nostalgic. While our greatest moral failure was succumbing to slavery, our greatest success was abolishing it. Even if the cost was great, the end result is undeniable.

ROYALTY? okay ill give u a quick history lessen too since u feel like getting put in your place also. Royalty had nothing to do with slave trade on the Ivory coast, where all the salves coming to the Americas were traded from. Slaves were either lower in the community and not needed so they made them slaves to trade, or they were prisoners of war with another tribe... there are plenty ways they were enslaved and white people had nothing to do with any of it, so go check a real history sorce
but really we shouldn't be arguing about this on a Ray Charles thread he was the man, nothing can take away from his talent. Unchain my heart- best song ever
No slavery had nothing to do with skin color, in Roman times any nationality could be a slave, and the reason they were all black in the America's is cause theyre own people traded them for so cheap that no other slave trades could compete with the Ivory coast because they traded their OWN people. how would u like that? to be traded to colonists by your own tribal leader? doesn't sound like they were treated any better in Africa u dumb shit. check history before u start preaching it.

VegaLione, could I ask you something ?
During 2nd World War, white people were killing other white people.
Do you think that it could allow black people
to say : "Whites people are killing themselves, so we have the right to kill them ?"
Everywhere in this world there are bad people.
And another point, slaves in Africa, were not real slaves, but workers with a few rights. they were living better in Africa than in America.
alexthedreamer 3 years ago 3
