A zelda movie would could actually be really good, as long as it was made by someone who is truly a fan, not by someone who is just in it for the money (like dbz evolution). If they were going to make it off any game, Ocarina of time would probably be the best one in my opinion. As for Link, he should only have very little dialogue and only talk when he has to

NO! If they would make a LOZ movie the only way it would work is if they stuck to the pattern of the game... Instead of going back to the original Zelda game just start a new story that like all the games. The biggest problem with game or comic book to movie moves is that the story is always messed up because its hard to fit a game into a movie script or even a comic book there are just why to much to go off of and I believe directors get too tied up with what will fit in hour or so of film.

There are so many stories you could go with (original or one based off of one of the games--but then which game?), not to mention the balancing act between making fans and non-fans happy... A Live-Action loZ movie would definitely be possible with current movie making tech (ex. I like the idea of the Skyward Sword story put in to the movie. I've heard from others that when they play the game it reminds them of Disney's better movies. And I agree. Seeing Skyward Sword animated in the Disney-Style I think is the best way to go. However, Studio Ghibli and Pixar are good choices too, as well as any Zelda game, but since Skyward Sword is the beginning of the Legend of Zelda, I say its the best choice.

I'd rather see someone completely unfitting do an adaptation. A Super Mario Bros. the movie style BS adaptation by Terry Gilliam would probably be amazing.

Nintendo doesn't trust their franchise mascots with other companies not only because of the Mario movie, but also Zelda and Mario CDi spinoffs. Did everyone forget about the existence of that horrid monstrosity all of the sudden? Here's a little refresher.
Studio 4C OR Gainax would the the only two anime companies I could accept to do a Zelda piece. If it's live action, it would have to be none other than Peter Jackson. but preferably, I want NO animated or live action renditions of the game. NONE. We already know there's too many directors out there trying to put their own "spin" to shit movies like "The Last Airbender", "Dragon Ball Evolution", and I'll let you know here and now, the Hollywood "Akira" is going to be a massive pile of shit.
The biggest issue I think with a TLoZ Movie is that in the games there are numerous dungeons, and in some way or another, Link grows stronger as a person in each one of them, as well as in Skyward Sword there are the Silent Realms. The issue being that, yes, the origins of that rendition of Link make for a good start of a movie, but then what about all the dungeons and stuff that happens between them? Will there be a montage of Link killing bosses before he goes through the final dungeon or what
In all honesty i can see the legend of zelda movie being in Hayao Miyazaki's art style it's rendering and over all animation is just wonderful. And if you ask me having a LOZ movie in his style would do it some justice and make up for the mario movie. Not saying the mario movie was bad it was one of the movies i grew up with, However all i'm saying is it would make up for the lack of technology and graphics, effects etc etc that we had back then compared to now. Link would be an incredibly hard character to cast just because I believe everyone sees a little bit of themselves in him. i think its the reason why nintendo didnt give link a voice, they didnt want link to have a personality. they wanted the player to feel they are they ARE link. to feel accomplished after solving a puzzle or defeating a difficult enemy.

pixar 3d, no way. the Skyward Sword art style might work. or any of the really good quality anime studios might work. GONZO has done some suberb work; Romeo and Juliet is a bit of a departure from the original story, but it worked out. they also did Wolf & Spice, and I really liked the art in that. and Nintendo is primarily a Japenese company, so if they didn;t open their own studio they could have one of the anime studios over there do it.

Okay guys, how about it would directed by every zelda fan. It would be easy just have poles on scene in the movie or have different scenes and when the scene comes up each viewer would votes on the next one sort of like a game.
Second if anything, they should not make this movie. Theres rules to movies never touch cartoon series or cartoon series that are 20 + years,

cartoon would make sense for the skyward sword and Zelda in general. Ocarina of Time is def. what I want. I say if you've played Final Fantasy Crystal bearers get Jegran's voice actor and you have your animated Ganondorf. it would have been easier to work with if like FF Zelda had voice actors I've seen FF movies and they turned out pretty good. Either way give us a Zelda movie Nintendo

And i think the main issue with most game movies, at least from games that originate from Japan. is whether or not its made there.
Japanese culture and western culture differ too much for some mainstream hollywood bigshot to make a movie out of something that came from Japan.

As much as the idea of a Ghibli adaptation of Zelda sounds good, I really think that Ghibli has too distinctive a taste for that.
I'd rather see someone completely unfitting do an adaptation. A Super Mario Bros. the movie style BS adaptation by Terry Gilliam would probably be amazing.

Studio 4C OR Gainax would the the only two anime companies I could accept to do a Zelda piece. If it's live action, it would have to be none other than Peter Jackson. but preferably, I want NO animated or live action renditions of the game. NONE. We already know there's too many directors out there trying to put their own "spin" to shit movies like "The Last Airbender", "Dragon Ball Evolution", and I'll let you know here and now, the Hollywood "Akira" is going to be a massive pile of shit.

The biggest issue I think with a TLoZ Movie is that in the games there are numerous dungeons, and in some way or another, Link grows stronger as a person in each one of them, as well as in Skyward Sword there are the Silent Realms. The issue being that, yes, the origins of that rendition of Link make for a good start of a movie, but then what about all the dungeons and stuff that happens between them? Will there be a montage of Link killing bosses before he goes through the final dungeon or what

In all honesty i can see the legend of zelda movie being in Hayao Miyazaki's art style it's rendering and over all animation is just wonderful. And if you ask me having a LOZ movie in his style would do it some justice and make up for the mario movie. Not saying the mario movie was bad it was one of the movies i grew up with, However all i'm saying is it would make up for the lack of technology and graphics, effects etc etc that we had back then compared to now. Well thats all ill say.

Link would be an incredibly hard character to cast just because I believe everyone sees a little bit of themselves in him. i think its the reason why nintendo didnt give link a voice, they didnt want link to have a personality. they wanted the player to feel they are they ARE link. to feel accomplished after solving a puzzle or defeating a difficult enemy.

If we did live action Zelda it would be played by someone whose goodlooking but not boyish fairy face enough so they'd have to use a girl and male dub over her. So the best you can hope for is a well done animation lol I vote someone takes over Zelda UO

This movie needs to be animated, not live action. If you do a live action movie, you run the risk of making a disaster akin to the Mario movie or DBZ Evolution. Studio Ghibli style would be perfect for a Skyward Sword-based movie, I think.

pixar 3d, no way. the Skyward Sword art style might work. or any of the really good quality anime studios might work. GONZO has done some suberb work; Romeo and Juliet is a bit of a departure from the original story, but it worked out. they also did Wolf & Spice, and I really liked the art in that. and Nintendo is primarily a Japenese company, so if they didn;t open their own studio they could have one of the anime studios over there do it.
