  • TIm do you know anything about the " longstreth " technique ? its similar to heel toe i think ! cant find it ANYWHERE in the internet... its used by john longstreth and thdrew baird of fallujah ... he even explicitely says that its NOT heel toe ... whats the difference ? they play at insane speeds insanely clean and it seems completely effortles... as if their legs arent even moving...

  • @Laurenan69

John has my dvd he tols me he tried the pump but did not wirk for him from what Ive seen hes using the exact method I teach called toe down heel strokes same as what I did for WFD doublestrokes i also use the same technique for singles as well

  • @TimWaterson so basicly it actually is heel toe technique after all ? just with the heel off the plate like you demostrate in some videos for people with bigger feet ? it seems like for this technique a developed muscle isnt that important than the coordination aspect . im stuck in speed like180 bpms since a years npw.. its driving me insane although i really practise my ass off slowely consistent etc etc... as if i just dot have fast muscles in my feet... need to learn this !maybe thatll work..

  • @Laurenan69

watch my Big breakfast video from 2000 you'll see Im using my heels only same motion as i see jJn and others doing for doubles its not heel toe I called it toe down doubles in 2000 and its been helping drummers achieve crazy speeds ever since..

I have a FREE trailer from My TMA video which shows some of the foot techniques on the DVD which is available from my tim waterson dot net site

Yes I remember Hearing about Leonard as well as Ian Paice

  • @TimWaterson IP would move his foot very fast in solos but LH would do extraordinary things during most of their songs in those 1st 2 records.

  • @sticksbass

I learned to play fireball with one foot because i thought "ian" played it with one.later i found out he borrowed one of bonzo's bassdrums to record.DOh

Man that gave my leg a KILLER workout very difficult to play.

Yes Leonard had some great foot chops post a link if you find a good demo clip
