  • I dont think they let obese people in the SS.

  • what no snow

  • @yooperwholigan13 Not the whole battle was snowy. A part of the line was not very snow as you see here.

  • so...how do you know when you've been shot or when you've shot someone else? when you see them face to face? this really is pointless. trust Americans to love war so much they want to pretend they are in one.

  • @MultiSpazzo They do not do this to feel like they are in a war, they do this to remember their ancestors that died in WWII (besides the 18-21 year olds, they are here for the former :P)

  • @Lio2102 ah, dont mind me, i was feeling particularly grumpy that day, i really ought to keep off youtube in such circumstances. who am i to tell people how to remember these brave souls, and moreover, who am i to tell people how to have fun! fair play to the lot of you! love from Glasgow, Bonny Scotland. ;-D

  • @MultiSpazzo Europeans do it too. Stop being an ignoramus.

  • @thewulfone "Ignoramus". love that word. I am not one, however. If you read all my comments you'll realise i apologised for my grumpy comments and as such have avoided the label of 'Ignoramus'. So there. You big smelly sock.

  • 0:13.... Germans know how to arrive in style for a battle :)

  • so long

  • So since there is no projectiles, do you guys just drop whenever you want? I know that the losing team drops more, but how do you know when to "die"? Is it just random?

  • @JustURAverageGamr Run out of amo, drop, if you see an enemy aiming at you drop, and the list goes on.

  • HAHAHA Looks like a damn farb fest!!!!!

  • PHEW!!! I made it for a whole 14 mins before I peed myself laughing at the one fat german whining about medics shooting germans!!! LOL!!! Some nazi owes me some new shorts!

  • Just plain silly. This must be how you dungeons and dragons geeks in high school made out huh?

Oh HEY!!! Germans with Vibram soles on their boots and Carhartt clothing! Those must've been comfy in 1944 eh!

  • @MegaTondog its actually fun!

  • Just plain silly. This must be how you dungeons and dragons geeks in high school made out huh?

    Grenadier Klaus Koenig

    1 KP GREN RGT 331 167thVolksgrenadier

    Austin, Texas

  • i really wanna do 1 of these but im 2 young

  • was that man on the turret on the truck in the beginning complaining about u

  • awesome :D

  • Do SS and Regulars fight together? i wana do Waffen SS reenacting, but idk if im only allowed in certain reenacment. theres one in reading in june, i live real close and i wana reenact as an SS soldier maybe this year, but do they allow SS at that one or this?

  • where was this video takein place

  • Some great footage ! looks like a good time was had by all. Nice to see a ww2 reenactment in HD ! I esp liked the vehicle footage. Thanks !

  • ...Looks & sounds more like the Autumn 1944 battle of the Hurtegen Forest,,,

  • storm troopers and imperial officers

  • so many fat guys and brown boots that need to be dyed out. . .

  • too many fatties ^_^

  • what happened at 46:17 did his mg go off ??

  • I praise the renenactors who actually try to be realistic, sure its to have fun doing it to but come on....walking around a battlefield? how did both sides not suffer large casualties at such close quarter fighting at certain points. unless i didnt hear the audio or i missed something?

  • What units did you film here?

  • It could be the Sequel to the movie, when the trumpets fade ;)

  • Long video, like a movie! I thought of Saving Private Ryan when i watched it :)

  • there is new management at FIG now so it's gonna be more socially oriented, not battle oriented. if you want battle scenes, they do a FIG event in March

  • ill prob be there in 3 yrs

  • wow, this looks amazing, great filming

  • if i was hearing gunfire in a reenactment i would at least kneel down and find cover not just stand there

  • i saw some1 2day tht told me he went here and its crazy and like a thousand people show up...i thought he was being sacarstic...until i watched this...this is amazing..great reenactment and recording...wish i went there

  • i wanna do i wanna act out a battle

  • At 13:44 why is their a Landser carrying a PPSH-41??

Its the Western Front where are the Russians?

Or is it just a MP-28?? Am I going blind?

  • @polkbritton No I think you're right. MP-28s were side-magazine mounted. Of course, just like in war though, one could always pick up a fallen enemy's weapon, though it's not recommended ad you'll never know what condition it's in.

  • With what kindof Ammunition are they shooting? And how do opponents know they are beeing shot and out of game? I am playing airsoft battlegames, but we know when we got shot^^

  • Whats up with the schmorgasborg of camo?

  • soo if u see someone shoot u ur suppose to die or something??

  • Der meister rennen aufstieg wieder in '2010

=The master race rise again in '2010.

  • Germans... fill up those breadbags boys! They look like shit empty... and a soldat wouldnt carry it if it was empty

  • nice hope to be there this year, long haul from florida though, lol u got hit by an mg34, been there done tht

  • Nieeeedlich wie die Amis versuchen n deutsches Lied zu singen....:D

  • What the hell is that british soldier doing here (55:57)???

  • what kind of ammunition were you using

  • Too many fat guys reenacting SS.

  • I dont get reenactments. Like how do you kill someone things like that.

  • I'm dissapointed I missed out on this event. It would've been great to have gone out again.

  • 13:09

One of the many reasons why I love to reenact. Pure comedy.

  • @kingco15thinf haha what did he say? something about medics and being bs?

  • Comical how the addition of an SS license plate instantly grants any soft skinned vehicle armor and firepower of a Tiger II as well as invulnerability at a reenactment.

  • Sorry guys, but you are all too fat for world war two!!!

  • What is the age limit on this reenactment group? There are no WWII reenactment groups around my area, just American Civil War ones. If you could respond I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

  • @davidusmc95 theres one in pennsylvania that covers all of pa and ohio the 508pir google there name they where at this event

  • Always enjoy watching your videos from FIG. Keep up the good work!! Can't wait to see your next one!!

  • sound is a little out of sync but it was still a great video. i was a GI for this one. for the Allied attack, we were out in the open taking out the tank. i believe you guys were up the hill quite a ways. great battles though. Germans put up an amazing fight.

  • I'm disappointed about the sound sync issue, but I'll resolve this prior to the next upload.

    Many thanks for your input.

My goal is to show the enjoyment of the living history part of an actual battle in the field to bring additional recognition to both the reenactor community and those who would like to participate.

    Bill Kisse

  • no problem. i had a lot fun this year. last year the weather was terrible, so we didnt get out much. i was really impressed with the video. the sync doesnt bother me, i just thought i would let you know if you didnt. see ya next year! i was Regt HQ this year and will be next year as well.

  • @williamkisse I like your concept of bringing attention to the reenactment community. you should do something that focuses on a regular infantry unit such as the 99th ID because there are just so many rangers and paratroopers its rediculus

  • @ronaldweasleyfan55 Ur totally right. I reenact in New Zealand and all the units are Rangers, 101st, 82nd AB, 1st LSSAH, Falschrimjager, Gerbetsjager. the only regular units are the NZ Battalions. lol quite often its all the fat guys who go for the elite. Luckily tho here in NZ a vast majority of reenactors are aged from 17-26 so things are changing and we get to see more more younger fitter soldiers who look and act like the real thing and just want to imersse themselves in ww2 4 the weekend :)

  • @ginjaninja1988 the unit i reenact is from the most decorated company of ww2 in the US army and were key in the defense of elsenborne ridge and the sourounding areas and barely anyone knows of them or cares. thanks to band of brothers and saving private ryan. and with the pacific coming out there will be a lot more marines!

  • @ronaldweasleyfan55 The 99th? They had a black shield with blue and white checkers? Thats really cool, I like the idea of reenacting an ordinary unit. I reckon you find that the men who served in the regular line units paid a far bigger sacrifice, saw far more combat and were in far more danger than ur average 'superhuman' Paratrooper and Ranger which most people thanks to the mentioned movies think won the war on their own. lol Nice to hear about ur unit. Do u guys have a website?

  • @ginjaninja1988 unfortunately we don't have a website. only the PA group does. we do have a yahoo group though.

  • 100 % correct

  • @williamkisse Hey Bill, great videos. I'll be at the GAP in 2012, be fun to meet you out there. Which unit are you with? Too bad about your dad not being able to make it up there any more, I so enjoyed his stories on youtube. Say hi to ole' Sparky!

  • @mspade83 ill probally when i do this ill probally be the agressor and i do reanactments and the jerries put up a hell of a fight

  • When asked, most of the barracks queens said that their "impression" was Tribbig from that Cross of Iron movie.Hey, to each his own, but for those farby, lispy barracks queens: the German Army didnt have a 'dont ask dont tell' policy. you wouldnt have made the cut.

  • I also saw a bunch of dudes hanging out in their warm barracks, complimenting each other on the "cut" of their uniforms, and patting each other on the butt. Then they pretended to have "locker inspection" whoho! after which time they all paired up and 'examined each others uniforms' some more.

  • I saw these guys at GAP. they were out in extremely cold weather running around and reenacting for half the day. Fun stuff.

  • PURPLE PARKAS, Tricks are for Kids! FARBOLICIOUS! Wow, all that shooting going on and guys just standing around. SNOW Cammo with no snow, OUTSTANDING. FARB, FAT, and "FIFTY Something" reenactors w/ beards, rubber soled boots, one guy taking cover behind a bush, this is why I do the public battle.

  • WOW! I see some of the WORST German impressions ever. FARB everywhere. Especially that GB unit. Just terrible. They should be ashamed.

  • yeah i saw way too many of those guys this year

  • awesome

  • Why are those guys standing up?!?!?!?!?!

  • I wondered this too as I was taking video. I tried my best to at least stand behind a tree so I wouldn't be a distraction - or target!

Maybe these guys should really consider taking cover even when the opposing force is shooting blanks.

  • @williamkisse howw doo you dieee?

  • @williamkisse yall shoulddo this with airsoft guns lol itll make them want to take cover

  • Nerd alert!

  • We had to lay fire in order to slow the allied advance. We were up there on purpose.

  • In 55.21 you can see the kraut walking doen the road with a SS Supply Room PPSH 41. I have one and it is an awesome SMG full auto blank firing only. Chuck stopped making these after a run of only about 65 weapons in the mid 2000s. SS Supply Room is now Military Precision. They make MP-40s and short barrel Thompsons. All full auto blank firing only. Prices are a little steep. The MP40 and Thompson are going for around $3000 each. Good thing is they are not considered guns so no class 3 is needed.

  • The kruat manning the MG on the Kubelwagon has the best camou. Light to dark brown. If he remained still I would never have made him.

  • Haha I think that is my unit (IR134) counterattacking when all the gunfire starts at 2:00. You can see us running in the background.

  • @joachimhaupt

Yes, you and GR916. They were routed.

  • Gear and uniform impressions are getting better.

Too bad that the GAP is an embarrassing parade of geriatric fatbodies with too much facial hair.

  • The GAP has always been a mistery to me. I haven't been able to go due to military deployments. Thanks for the long video, I hope to see you there next year.

  • What's with the plethora of unconverted, non-hobnailed boots and moustaches/goatees?

  • Comment removed

  • Not sure what unit this is (Heer Jaegers?), but they need to stop tree-hugging. Battle just looks like a typical clusterf@#$... no aggressive attacking or counterattacking.

  • thanks for posting ..i was one of the 135th guys

  • I got 2 confirmed kills on the stug with my M1 bazooka, and i kill via my colt 1911 with a sniper.dont ask me how i just got him.lol

  • @youknowyouright1

I am interested to know what comprises a 'confirmed kill' on a tank in the reenactment world. Who confirms it? How is it confirmed? Did you fire a missile at it? How do you know you were not hosed by the enemy before firing? How close do you have to get?

If a 'confirmed kill' is made, why did you have to 'kill' it twice?

  • Well this is a very good question indeed. A tank kill is confirmed in 2 ways. By the allies or by the axis. Unfortunately sometimes the axis is too busy to know when they are hit. I got 2 confirmed hits by the allied forces. I will show you how my bazooka works in a reply vid when i get new rocket motors. first hit was about 200 yards. max range for a bazooka. second shot within 90 yards. I was given cover fire from brits and took cover in a ditch

  • OK, I didn't know the max range for a bazooka. But as tanks have sloping armour may your shot have deflected?

I would really like to see a vid of you firing the bazooka. But what would happen if someone got in the way? Safety?

  • i just posted a video response so this will hopefully answer your question

  • was this on Fridays battle or Saturdays battle ?

  • This was Saturday.

Next year I'll make every attempt to video both days. As I remember on Friday the Germans were the agressors, and on Saturday the Americans. I'd like to show both sides from each perspective.

    Bill

  • @williamkisse hey good vid. We americans got our asses kicked both day lol but on friday we were massacered

  • plus we could barely see you guys. i was killed many times by u guys cuz i cldnt see u guys in that god damned camo. you guys did great out there and hope to be fightin yall next year

  • Sad that you got no snow this year =( Over here in sweden we got alot of snow.

  • we got loads of snow in england
