  • Not a fan of the unnecessary tempo change.

  • Dancing Mad wasnt meant to be this fast paced emergency fight to death, it was meant to make you feel like you were going up against something the likes of which have never been seen, the original dancing mad was better over all for the feel of the fight, this is a bit to fast and heavy to fit the feeling of the fight itself, still a good rendition, but doesnt fit aswell as the original

  • Better. I agree

  • I didn't like the rock guitar replacing the voice... But then it becomes wild and then I am into it again :)

  • lead guitar should be stronger in the last part.

  • Bad choice in title, wonderful arrangement.

  • YEAH!!!! i would use this for the REMAKE... if there was one.

  • This is actually quite bad.

  • Who disliked this? Cult of kefka?

  • You people are all gay.

Go get lives outside of fucking youtube.....

signed:this kids brother who is incredibly disapointed

  • I didnt hear a single KUKUKUKUKU this video fails

  • @joshscorcher what a dick you are. Truly. The version that's already on the game is perfect the way it is. The game has had no type of remake or remastering, just ports. Wait until a remake is out, and then you can shit all over it while making some sense.

Mov. 1 is borderline thrash metal.

Mov. 2 is some kind of dance pop.

Mov. 3 has Terra's Theme in it? REALLY? That's just offensive to Uematsu.

Mov. 4 Not everything needs electric guitar.

You don't know what music is.

  • @justa16thnote well then heres a though why dont you make a better one!

  • @serisdovakhin I can arrange one, but it can't replace the original. No arrangement could be better than the original.

  • @justa16thnote that depends on your out look

  • @justa16thnote I'd say movement #1 was dead on. The second movement was....interesting, certainly doesn't fit with the first. The third would have actually worked well if it didn't sound so goddamn happy, the fourth introduction was REALLY well done, and the rest of the fourth, I agree. Electric would have worked well if it was tight and clean, which it isnt at ALL.

  • not gonna lie Tier 2 "Insanity & Purgatory" is my favorite one.

  • @Emixsal Agreed

  • 2 words: "Ep" and "Ic"!

  • I say this - As much as I like the 'Heaven Save Point' music, I don't it should be in a remake - it sounds way out of place.

This could be something for a temple of Kefka's theme, not the final battle itself.

  • Whats with you kids having to add electric guitar to everything?

  • The tempo is just a little too fast for Movement 1 that it kinda ruins the mood, but otherwise the rest is pretty badass. :)

  • Fuck Chaos, Fuck Emperor, Fuck Cloud of Darkness, Fuck Zeromus, Fuck ExDeath, Fuck Sephiroth, Fuck Ultimecia , Fuck Kuja/Necron, Fuck Seymour, Fuck FF11 in general, Fuck The Undying, Fuck Orphan.

    Kefka wins against everything.

    Hail Kefka

  • excellent bro im getting that tat btw \m/ ff forever.

  • remixed extra boner xD

  • I like the music used in this, but... it isn't "what the song SHOULD be like." The song is already perfect. These are some good remixes, but...

  • Let's be fair, the notion that Dancing Mad at all needs to be improved is garbage. The entire thing is excellent already and fucking around with it in such an extreme way would spoil the scene. This version you have laid out is too heavy and fast paced, it seems you just didn't get the original music at all. I'm all for musical experimentation and progression but as with everything too many people fail to keep the mood of originals through translation. There are so many examples of this.

  • @unwiseowl U Mad Bro?

  • @unwiseowl i think this would be great if they made a full 3D remake and such, of course thats not gonna happen, im just saying this would be good.

  • Anyone else obsessed with Insanity and Purgatory?:P

  • @Baneheart666 They say your crazy when you think everyone around you is... >:D

    Food for thought.

  • They should create a new word for an insane tone/mood.

    Kefkaesque. Lol geddit?

  • Josch, I think you should search out DrRholde here on Youtube, playing 'Dancing Mad' on Grand Organ. HE pretty much did it perfectly, including the Last Stand moment.

  • 10:39 its over finally!!!! or is it? thats what i get from that part XD kinda like ff7 you killed sephiroth then 1 winged angel starts XD

  • i love the first 1 the second 1 has a nice jungle like tune on the back ground love it rly

the 3rd mwah it was nice but i found it kind of frustrating i mean it goes on in a sound like its going oke then you kill him and whoes there? the god of magic himzelf kefka he uses some insane moves (my party was lvl 60) and what happens? he starts off with 1 magic that takes all members to 1 hp (or critical wounded hangs on what version you have i thought) then he uses a hyper strong move wich hits sever

  • then he its the end... i didnt even had the time to use life 3/ reraise... the song of kefka is epic though (i know he's easy but if you aint be prepared for the 1 hp att then its hard like hell)

  • i'll take the Distant Worlds 2 version. Too many cheap sounding crap synths.

  • Good but nothing beats original. Part 2 didn't fit all to the song..

  • I'll be honest. I've heard the original. I've heard the Black Mages version, and a few of the other orchestrated versions. I like this one the best.

  • part 1:Original is a million times better

part 2:Original is a million times better.WTF MAN? it sounds like brazilian music.

    part 3:I like the original.

    part 4:original is better.

    Sorry,but electric guitar doesn't work.

  • @piromaniac9999 Well i CAN confirm the 2 part coment, the music here sucks.

  • @luiz152515 As i said:The original one is way better.

Listen to the original, because this one has ruined the entire reason for this song. Its supposed to represent kefka, but instead:It doesn't sound threatening at all.To quote one guy:This sounds like music you dance to,instead of music to listen to and feel threatened to.

  • Bach Rules!

  • What's with all the angry nerds? If they didn't like this arrangement, then why don't they stop bitching about it and make their own? I think it was great...

  • When did the game fake us out?

  • @zingodoom Didn't play the game, but I can tell you: on the Flying Continent, before the statues of three Goddesses of Magic. We have Emperor Gestahl and Kefka standing right in front of them. This is the moment where you think is the Final Boss fight - Until Kefka reveals his intentions and kills Gestahl, then puts the statues out of balance and destroys the world, while becoming a new God of Magic.

  • While I do appreciate the effort that went into this arrangement... It's not particularly good. Also, there's something extremely pretentious about having a video titled 'How it SHOULD have been', especially when you're trying to reimagine something that was created by NOBUO FREAKING UEMATSU, who was a freaking MASTER at making music.

So yeah, this arrangement isn't very good. Black Mages, or the original 16 bit music, > this. Any day.

  • If there's going to be a heaven save point, all four tier battles must be many times harder than they currently are, or else why bother having to stop and take a break, when the battle isn't all that difficult?

  • Whats the name of the first 2? they're awsome :D i so want them

  • not good at all...

  • Get rid of the guitar. God. Rock and final fantasy do NOT MIX. For the love of god! What's with square lately?

  • Comment removed

  • My favorite boss fight made more epic. Thank you.

  • Dance beats are related to purgatory? lol

  • Nope, too much noise, too much chaos

  • Guitars can't do what organs do, sorry.

  • If they make a PS3 or PS4 (if Sony makes one) remake of FFVI I will buy it. No more than that. Fuck VII and X remakes.

  • @ultimecia1000 they did release the original FFVI For PS1, I believe.

  • @ultimecia1000 your shit out of luck cause theres a ffx remake coming soon

  • You get the feeling that people are picky with how their favorite songs play despite how sometimes certain things don't fit.

  • Nah, I preferred the organ.

  • Anybody else REALLY FUCKING HATE IT when you're trying to enjoy good music and the video's gotta buffer every 10 seconds?

  • @ZENX49

    Not me.

    BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @ZENX49 you must have a real slow computer if thats the point... mine doesn't even buffer it loads instandly...

  • @ZENX49 ause, 2) get a better connection

  • @ZENX49 you just asked "do we like video games" basicly (aka FUCK YES!)

  • By the way, I love the ending that is the beginning of the very first part, like a vicious circle... Kefka never dies. =D

  • 9:58 "How his pathetic life is ending"???

Kefka was a fucking god for a whole year. THATS a badass life!

  • They're nice remixes on their own right, but they're not greater than the superior. Good work, though.

  • mp3 anyone?

  • Kefka>sephiroth. Reguardless of what the stupid ass game producers say.

  • @taoaoal Its funny though. none of the producers said sephiroth is greater. (cause he is not). critics would agree sephiroth is just an overrated mama's boy

  • @dudes468 Call me one of the critics, then. :3

Sephiroth is an overrated mama's boy.

On a tangent note: Who'd want to see Kefka as an optional fight instead of "Teh Spehizor" in a KH game?

  • @Kaffekane And...even then...what would he be like?

  • @Kaffekane me

  • no, just no. Good effort though

  • As much as the Final Composition is and how represenative it is of the Godly Kefka, I kinda wish it could be perhaps mixed together or rather replaced with Kefka's theme but more divine and threatening. I've listened to the Orchestral version where they have made that, but it was a little too light. I wish there was a happy medium.

  • theres no way the SNES could have handled this version, maybe not even the PSX version...

But if there is ever a reamke of FF6, this is what should've been used...

  • It's sad that barly anyone knows the simbolism behind the fight aganist Kefka and his tower... that is part of what makes FF6 one of the greatest games of all time

  • Sounds like that this version could be in brawl.

  • Movement 2: Church meets Dance Club! XD

  • Amazing video. You really painted a new perspective on this music and illustration of the final battle in one of my favorite games of all time. Kudos to you on a job well done.

  • Kefka would be proud !

  • "Life. Dreams. Hope.

Where'd they come from? And where are they headed? These things I'm going to destroy."

Those words will never be forgotten.

  • the last part you said not to get, i think i might...you know that the magick faded when Kefka died, yes? could it be it? like Kefka's last will/thing to do/must do/cant help it, im a god, if i die so does magick kinda theme?

  • hmmm idk while yes the final battle part didnt fit kefka right, i think it actually works in context as "this is the last fight for the heroes." I mean, this game IS about more than one character even if he is completely awesome

  • I would kill to hear this played live

  • Epic

  • This video should definitely be seen and considered for a potential Advent Children-style movie of Final Fantasy VI.

  • the original music was supposed to be simpolic, thats why it wasnt upbeat and stuff.

  • Hey Josh! I would like to point you out to Blacklabelninja1's metal remix of Dancing Mad. He did a great job, and it sadly only has about 2,000 views. Please check it out!!!

  • It's fun, but just ok. Not too bad.

  • Great, Better than the original, and I really liked the original.

  • The song should have ended with Kefka's laugh. That would've made it 2x more epic. Imagine this: You just killed a god, you sent him to the place where he belongs. You think he's gone forever. It's all over. Time to start rebuilding the destruction he brought on the world, all the while living in peace and safety. And then...out of the blue...a familiar laugh...a faint laugh...an unfriendly laugh...he's not dead...he's only been delayed...suddenly, a portal opens, out steps Kefka, ready to kill.

  • @2010SKG that would be awesome

  • @2010SKG My life would be complete if that happened.

  • i like the second part awesomely

  • nice

  • The 2nd part has too much of a funky dance beat.

  • @Medowin Thats like saying something is so good its bad.

  • Tier 4: COME AT ME BRO!

  • it would be great, if they remake the game even better

  • I Wonder What's For Diner :3 (The King)

  • The song was intended to serve as an interpretation of Kefka's entire rise to power, not just the current situation. Making something more grandiose doesn't set to enhance it's imagery or make it better, especially when you consider that Kefka was still largely working from behind the scenes in initially serving his own interests.

  • i love the remixes. so tasty

  • The first part is the most important part, it's too rushed in this remix, original is still better

  • I'd be insulted as a gamer if they added a save point in the middle of a final boss fight.

  • @OldSkoolAngel i would be insulted as a boss if they added a save point in the middle of my final boss fight

  • @dooandshee, As far as I know, there isn't a save point in the middle of it. There is a similar case for final fantasy XII I think. For that boss who I cannot remember the name of, theres about.... 500,000 HP i think it was. The creators of the game put in a cave you could retreat to, and save your progress. Cause they knew it would last for a long time.

  • @TheDeadpool3001, Well, mistake, it was 50,000,000 HP. Thats alot.

  • @TheDeadpool3001 there isn't a save point, which is fine since i don't think all of kefka is hard with using all 16 freakin characters, just play more defense/heal, stock up and save before the final boss. i dont know how much hp kefka has, but as far as that unnamed boss you speak of goes, 50m sounds a bit unlikely.

  • @dooandshee, I found his name was Yiazmat. Its definitly 50.

  • @TheDeadpool3001 That thing took the Fiery Joker (joshscorcher) himself four hours to defeat. It's the boss with the most HP of any boss in a Final Fantasy game thus far, I believe. Certainly one of the longest-lasting battles cause of that, too.

  • I really need to buy this game

    Anyone got a spare?

  • 7:49 bricks were SHAT!

  • @DemonicGhostwithin I think that Emperor Mateus from FFII ruled the world first. Kefka goes further and actually destroys the world.

  • @Dynasaur2010 Twice.

  • 2:18 to 3:32 is best part.

  • As if Dancing Mad wasn't epic enough to begin with, then I hear THIS. Kefka FOREVER.

  • How come movement two sounds like bollywood.

  • I totally agree with your version

  • the power that kefka tapped into in the end...and the show that he put on. That's what i'm interested in. Kind of the range that i would've done if i had that power.

  • @taoaoal Isn't Kefka the first final fantasy villan to rule the world or was there someone before him?

  • I like almost everything about this, ESPECIALLY tier 2 (I always thought that it was supposed to the "dancing" part of "Dancing Mad.")

HOWEVER, I read your blog, and I don't really think that "Heaven's save point" has a place here. All four tiers are supposed to be fought in succession, and adding a break in between ruins the flow of both the battle AND the music.

  • Yngwie Malmsteen should cover this remake

  • i think the distant worlds version beats this.

  • @Fudgaboutit ARE YOU INSANE?!?!

  • Looks like all 4 forms of Kefka disliked this video.

  • @Thecreater2 I think that Sephiroth created 4 accounts and disliked this song.

  • @Thecreater2 Why would kefka dislike his own music?

It was Sepiroth, Exdeath, Chaos, and Seymour.

  • @Thecreater2 *Sephiroth + his mommy.

  • @Thecreater2 Three times more than one... Hell, do each Kefka form has three accounts or what?

  • Comment removed

  • Garlond, Chaos, Emperor Mateus, Cloud of Darkness, Zemus, Ex-Death, Sephiroth and his mommy were jelly and disliked the video.

  • Need a download link. Like seriously D:

  • @Anidem9 After listening to this song, my ears bleeded to anything that wasn't this

  • Wow.Now that I hear it like this it sounds AWESOME.

  • Am I the only one who likes how the second part of the final tier switches back to the chaotic part with the trademark laugh in the original?

  • hate to be a wet blanket but is any of this actually playable?

  • @rabbidluigi what do you mean?

  • @SuperZalex well it's pretty intense and quite fast so I'd love to see this played, just seems slightly hard/impossible

  • @rabbidluigi well we hear it now, so i'd say it's possible

  • @SuperZalex ahh, but it could be a playback from a very good music writting software and if it is i HAVE to get a copy of it coz it sounds awesome

  • @rabbidluigi now i don't think THAT is possible, how do you change a sound in a song like this?

and it's from a game too.

    @joshscorcher what do you think?

  • @SuperZalex are you saying it's impossible to get computer software to make a remix of this quality? i was going to make an orchestral arrangement of this so new software would be nice

@joshscorcher do you know how this was created?

  • @rabbidluigi hey, don't copy me!

    na, just kidding

  • @SuperZalex hey it's a different question!

    oh wait i'm copying again aren't I...damn...

  • The last song is....so sad somehow

  • AWesome!

  • Just to let you guys know. I made a full version of this using the same songs (except for the Black Mages part).

  • I love the way you pieced all these songs together to make an amazing compilation. I really hope they release a 3D remake of FFVI now. And if not, somebody should definitely do something like make some sort of animation or flash game of just the final battle, using the ideas in the blog and this music. That, in my opinion, would be amazing.

  • (If I saw the person below me Irl, I'd punch em' xD)

  • well, I fought kefka when I was 9, and to tell the truth, he was way too easy to be considered a real boss. I played through FF6 last week, and I have to say, he is only in that game for comic relief. i am not kidding, he is only like that because everyone else in the game is emotionless. I hate to break it to you guys, but even kuja was better than him, and had better boss music.

  • @MrBeastschannel

sigh....look, I'm a nobody, but Kefka is one of the best villians in gaming. The people that might top him are GLaDOS from Portal, Loghain from Dragon Age Origins, and maybe Saren from Mass Effect.

  • 5:04 - 5:19

    "We're laughing together...laughing together...hahahaha...."

  • WHOA!!! THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • They actually have a save point in the middle of this fight? Damn. That's a tough boss.

  • @Tylerthephantom Not in the original game, he said it could be added to keep newer gamers from getting to frustrated if they die on the last form and don't want to star all over again. I on the other hand say they shouldn't add a save in the middle and make it harder, because you could make Kefka so incredibly easy in Final Fantasy VI if you got the right spells.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow.

  • Mixed feelings

The 16 bit original should be followed exactly. I do however agree with some arrangment to provide a more theatric realization.

  • Okay. ONLY NOW are you allowed to say that Dancing Mad is much better than OWA

  • @ShatterPalm Agreed.

  • @ShatterPalm

I've always said the original Dancing Mad is better than OWA, and I'm going to continue to do so, what's the point of your comment?

  • @Aizen9 I've been holding off deciding on which one I like more until I heard a full orchestrated version of Dancing Mad. DM original is as good as OWA original to me, but until I found this, the fully orchestrated OWA for Advent Children was better than anything else to me.
