yeh it was originally a higher register. but i think they transposed it to suit the singers vocal range.

@CrystalPalace1990 this is not a serene song. Anyone who interprets it in that fashion should not be allowed to sing it. The serenity, such as it is, is resignation in the face of death. If there are no troubling undercurrents, it is a performance manque
