love your video's but im lost to which to get, what is a good tablet to get, i like the prime but people are having lots of problems with the wifi, and i want an android tablet, im just lost
I actually just got my 32GB model in the mail, seriously less than 5 minutes ago, and already I'm in love. I watched a bunch of your tablet reviews and finally decided to buy this model over the Prime/ other tablets. It was only about $330 on Amazon. I'm glad I watched your review!
let me just say that i really enjoy watching your reviews.. i mean i can really understand what your saying unlike others who seems like their speaking mandarin or sanskrit... ^_^ and im probably gonna buy asus transformer cause its the cheapest here in the philippines, its 22,000 pesos which is around 520 USD... sorry for my horrible english... ^_^

Hey, can you please do a review of the Le Pan TC 970? It look like a pretty good tablet, but i have not seen any professionally done reviews on it. It would be greatly appreciated.
I really need help. Im fifteen years old and I save enough oney to buy a tablet. I would like a recommendation on which tablet to buy. I am leaning on either the Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 or the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. I am going to do a lot of video watching and game playing. I have never had a tablet before and I am really nervous that I wont get the right one.
@milleniumjosh The Galaxy has a better screen than the Prime 1 but this one is cheaper and has an HDMI and micro or mini USB port as well as a micro SD slot, which can come pretty handy to transfer files, rooting and tethering.
If you live in North America or Europe and do not care for connectivity wait a couple of days and you'll be getting a Transformer Prime with a quad-core CPU and Super LCD plus display but no USB port.

Hey Lisa, are there any rubber grommets or anything to put in the keyboard dock holes ( I dont plan on using the keyboard)? Something to make it flush? This is gonna be for school use as I dont want to lug around a heavy laptop.
Really tempted to buy this just based on price over the transformer prime, but I guess I'll wait for the review and see if it's worth the extra cash or not.
Hey Lisa. I just realized that this was one of the reviews that convinced me to buy the transformer. Even better, I realized I bought that very tablet from you over craigslist. just wanted to let you know it still works great! keep up the great reviews!
For all who are debating on the prime: From what it seems, If you want a 3G/4G service, wait for the prime. If your mainly going to use your tablet at home or through tethering via mobilehotspot, go with the transformer.
Hey, great review! I have one question though does it come with any kind of warranty form Asus? Thats the only thing I can think of that would stop me from buying this now! lol Thanx for your time!
I bought one end of Oct. 2011. After 5 days of standard use, it started resetting at random times. Technical support in Israel gave an unprofessional handling. I regret this purchase, though it has a cool user interface. Don't buy if you live in Israel.
Originally ordered the Toshiba Tab, but decided to cancel the order and get this one instead based off of your review, and It ROCKS! so glad i decided to switch.
@tommyereli You can download a free Android file transfer utility from Google to drag files between the tablet and the Mac. Otherwise, use Google cloud.
HAHA, "Fru Fru Shi Shi" You've made my day. I must say, all funny jargon aside, That you have by far the best reviews I have ever seen. I acually watch them when I'm bored, just becuase any other reviews would waste my time... Now to wait for the Transformer Prime... *sigh*
Good review! I am still not sure if i'll be getting this or the transformer prime but i am wondering, is the sound on the tablet good quality? Like for listening to music, music on youtube, or watching videos? I hear the volume is quite quiet but i want to know about the quality of the sound and the accurateness of it.
Great job on the review!!! You covered every detail if not almost every detail. This is by far the best review I have seen on tablets. You showed substantial areas of the Asus that made me happy for purchasing it. You went at the right pace and covered the aspects of the tablet really well. I'm subscribing.
Nice review...you know I bought it based on your review and I like it alot! I am actually typing on it now :)And I am curios about what you do with all the tuff you have you could atually do giveaways :)
Hey, I've been looking through your tablet reviews, and I have a question. I am a student that is tired of lugging around huge wads of papers to my lectures, and I am now looking for a solid tablet with pen-input capabilities for taking notes, writing comments in PDF-files and such nonsense.. I think that the EEE slate or the Lenovo android tab could wrok, but they seem a bit pricey.
Do you have any other recommendations that could "fit the bill"?
@MobileTechReview Yeah I did like what I saw, except the 7" screen. This is way too small for any kind of serious notetaking. I'm not too keen on the HTC sense system either.. As i feel it will never reach the potential of apps that I need. I'm a masters degree student, so I'd like to be able to run some more serious functions on it as well... Oh well, I guess I'll just wait for the Lenovo tab to drop in price a bit.. =(
A few times in my life I have found people on tv or radio shows that have that magical voice that just makes me slip off into some kind of slumbering state that is incredibly relaxed.. You have such a voice. Could listen to it all day! ^^
Hi! What is your overall recommendation for a good tablet? Something around the price of this one.Like maybe the Lenovo ThinkPad, this, or something else? Thanks!!!
I only trust your review since you have solid knowledge about hardware stuff, and of course you have reviewed tons of products. Mad respect for you ! keep up good work !
For christmas im wanting a tablet.... Which is the best for being rough but up to date on everything? Like the xoom? Asus? The new sony tablet? samsung gravity?
how easy is the set up for remote desktop? is there some sort of installation thats required? or would i be able to take this to a friends, and just sync it up with a computer there and use it?
Get MOBO player and it will play any movie any format. Netflix also works like a charm over wifi..I did tether with Samsung Epic 4g from Sprint and also works as long as you have a good cell coverage.
How real are the rumors that a new Transformer 2 is coming out in October? I would feel very frustrated if i get this one and a month later Asus releases the next gen... Thank you and very nice channel, subscribed already
@Looppedd I saw someone playing movies through a different player playing .mkv files for hd usage, though they are sort of laggy, however vlc is making vlc for android! wooo!
So I have a question. I know that this isnt capable of actually running high end games on its own, but using the MyCloud feature, could I use it to play game on my tablet while its actually running on my computer with no lag? I want to play some games that I cant get on Android and have them on my computer. I like the thought of playing the games with a touchscreen instead of with a mouse.
I bought three of the Asus Transformers. Taking one back after the other. Everyone of them suffered from Backlight Light bleed. They perform better than all the android tablets. But the build quality on these things absolutely suck.
Do you think this could be a laptop replacement? I have both a pc and a macbook pro atm and was wondering if this could replace my pro as a portable device.
Great review, but I have a question. I am very interested in the transformer, but there are rumors that Asus is going to release a transformer 2 by October. Do you think it's worth the wait to get the newer model or not?
@jdst197 I would wait and see what happens. The next transformer will have the new Kal-El quad core processor, but with that, you can most likely expect shorter battery life. But I would still wait. Not only will you see if it ends up being better, but if you end up not deciding it's worth it, this transformer may drop slightly in price. So it's a win-win situation, lol.
@MetroidSammich yeah, after having done more research since my comment, I learned that more cores means processes get split up causing them to be completed faster, thus creating less time to complete the process as a whole, sending your phone into idle sooner.
Since you mentioned the ability to plug in a keyboard with the special adapter, does that mean the mouse would be built into the keyboard, or does it have the capability to use a conventional laser mouse too?
you have a very relaxing voice.

@matrix86 More cores = better battery life.

@MetroidSammich yeah, after having done more research since my comment, I learned that more cores means processes get split up causing them to be completed faster, thus creating less time to complete the process as a whole, sending your phone into idle sooner.

just a question... what are the supportable video formats for this transformer? anyways... great review you have here! keep it up =)

@adzlan89ace The Gallery video player from Google plays MPEG4.

Your Lenovo got MW2 MP installed in it. Awesome.

Since you mentioned the ability to plug in a keyboard with the special adapter, does that mean the mouse would be built into the keyboard, or does it have the capability to use a conventional laser mouse too?

i have a question for u: if u buy it without the keyboard, will i be able to connect to my computer to transfer data or not?
