Actually, most of it was Ballroom Samba, then they switched to a little Salsa, then right back to Ballroom Samba, especially when the drums sped up at the end, they all tried to do traditional Samba. It was fun to watch :]

I'm from Brazil and respect Samba presented in International Ballroom, there's a lot of discipline involved...those sharp movements and hip action are phenomenal...love it!

samba is the dance..it doesn't matter if the song is in spanish... samba is originally from brazil but they are dancing samba steps...they dance any style with just about any song

guys, the problem is that the international ballroom samba is completely different from the original brazilian samba - that is a solo dance. Our ballroom samba is called "gafieira" and have no step in common with the international style. =] Search for "gafieira" on youtube... it's a very beaytiful dance too. =] That's why a lot of brazilian keep saying that the dwts samba isn't samba at fact.
