  • Bogie deserved this Oscar absolutely!!! These boys Brando and Clift were pretty good too, but it was a long way for them ahead from this Method crap with making faces and noisy moans to solid acting craft of Bogart, Cagney, Spencer and other classy actors. And I do love this unanimous roar of joy Bogie had gotten from his fellow actors. Thank you for posting!

  • 0:15 ummmm.... did he just slap his ass

  • @ToniAqua but bogart should have one for casablanca, so this was one to even it out

  • Monty Clift should have won. I stand by this.

  • It's 1951, not 1952.

  • @ttt8699 The ceremony was held at the RKO Pantages Theatre on Thursday, March 20, 1952, honoring movies released in 1951.

  • No disrespect to Bogart, who is definitely one of the greats, but that year Brando deserved the Oscar. If not him, then Clift. The Academy was just making it up for all the times they had let Bogie leave empty-handed.

  • @ChristianDoig as good as all three were the person that should have won that year was Kirk Douglas for Ace in the Hole.
