ohh man i love your yard it is heavenly. i just bought a 91 uhaul and am kitting it out as a house on wheels. id love to take an ols shasto or somthing and put double slide outs in it ...nice collection keep rockin Dave...
@crackin2000 OH wow just saw this. Hey I know someone who did the same thing with a Uhaul. Have another one that did it with a Dico. That one is neat. I have videos. Search "Dico" on my channel.
@dragata1 Sad? But they filled peoples weekends with joy and cheer! And most of them will probably run the highways and backroads again once they find a good home. I don't think it's sad at all!
I think you just created a sort of a Zen moment, a state of mind similar to the scene in American Beauty where the guy was filming and contemplating a plastic bag floating in the wind.
The very first trailer to the left (blue and white) is exactly the one we had when I was a kid. That is strange I didn't know you had a shasta. When I was surfing the net the night I sent you that web site about trailers, I ran across a picture of a model of a shasta. It caught my eye they are really nice looking trailers. No wonder why I think your an alright guy, we have the same taste in trailers lol. I'll send you the photo of it I think it's really cool looking.
OH that's not mine. I am just canibalizing it for parts. The wings are going to Alaska to the lady who one the Iditerod in 2006. I know that some of the windows are spoken for.
If that was my collection I would be in pure extasy...
Then kindly disregard everything I said even the part where I said your an alright guy. Just kidding. I thought you meant you had one at home. Oh I know that's not your collection are you kidding? We would of been up down and in side out of them if they were yours. You wouldn't be able to stop yourself.
My first trailer was a little Shasta with wings. 10 footer. The one I was pulling parts for is an unknown. I am trying to figure out what it is. There will be a video when I install these dinette parts in it. Might have to give this one a name of it's own. Could have a contest on YT to name it. :)
What's the story with that pickup? The outside looks like it's in good condition. Is it just being stored there becausethe engine is gone or seized up? I'm actually looking for a cheap vehicle that I can give to a, er, um, "supporter of Anonymous," whom had his vehicle seized by the Scientology crime syndicate. I'd LOVE to see him drive around in something like that, more so if the thing can be cherried out. Twould piss the fuck out of David Miscaviage et al.
LOL well cheap is not what that truck would be. I don't know if it runs but knowing the owner it probably runs just fine. And to purchase a truck like that you might want to make sure you have at least $15,000 lying around.
I want one sooo bad!

Are these trailers for sale, or just "parts trailers"? Where is this heavenly place?

I'd like to take a trailer that's maybe 1970s vintage and convert it to a mobile workshop to pull behind the RV. :-)

Just buy a used UHaul... They work great. Put an air conditioner on top and pop some windows into the sides... Cheap and strong.

I wish I had more time and money to work on them. Trying to get to that point now but the economy keeps getting in the way.
