  • @rotrage Hello;

I would definitely recommend picking up several books if you are able to:

Inner Temple of Witchcraft- Christopher Penczak

    True Magick - Amber K

    The Sabbats- McCoy

Incense, OIls & Brews - Scott Cunningham

(Also, Cunningham's Encyclopedias of Magical Herbs, and Crystal, Gem & Metal Magick)

Penczak's book will give you a good idea of the basics, as will Amber K's. The others will help you begin to comprehend some correspondences and whatnot. :)

    Blessed be! ♉

  • @Zumzumfoxy PS, I would definitely get a journal and write down your thoughts on where you're coming from spiritually and/or religious background, and your motivations for wanting to learn the Craft of the Wise. :) Then a while down the road you can look back and see how you've changed and record your spiritual growth.

  • @Zumzumfoxy ok thankyou, ill keep a look out for some books :)

  • @rotrage i remeber when i was first starting out. I looked at a lot of different sites and youtube videos, because i'm from a strict christian family so i couldnt get books. I recommend going to google and typing in Wiccan beliefs and (after you sort through the stuff you KNOW isnt right....) there should really be some majorly helpful sites. Also there are many wiccan channels on youtube that can help you on your journey. If you can though getthe books Zumzumfoxy said their really good! WELCOME

  • absolutely love this chant

  • @AvatarFanGirl28 As you may not be able to perform physical "rituals", you can still do them in your mind. As the mind is the domain of the Self, your parents won't be able to intrude there. Blessings to you, Sister.

  • @AvatarFanGirl28 Tell her wiccans don't worship satin, they worship a creator (the godess), and that the godess is not evil.

  • @mickburke15 You've made an assumption that I'm Scottish, which I'm not. As for unrepressing you- in your dreams, pal! Grow up! And Christianity has taken it's dogma, festivals and ritual from pagan beliefs anyway, so who is actually winning???? Something to bear in mind when you do your Christmas shopping, put holly and mistletoe in your house, celebrate Easter and talk about the Holy Trinity- amongst other things. Samhain blessings to you!!!

  • @mickburke15 you obviously don't know anything about this belief system. Your sexist comments show how ignorant, intolerant and sexually repressed you are. you're what is known as a numpty where I live!

  • Why don't you use different pictures of each goddess each time they are said? :)

  • I can't stop chanting this. Blessed Be )0(

  • @ TheGNARLYPRODUCTIONS its prolly cause of the movie practical magic

  • love this song but are you guys saying demeter or mead? like if u cant decide either!

  • I still like it :) Isis Astarte Diana Hecate Demeter Kali Inanna!!!

  • can you give me the lyrics pleas this song sounds beautiful

  • Why the Hell is there a link to "Put the Lime in the Coconut" in the videos to the right???? *puzzled look*

  • @TheGNARLYPRODUCTIONS: Well, I don't know, listening to them one after another might be fun. :p 'Isis, Istarte, Diana, Hecatate, Demeter, Kali, Innana...WE PUT THE LIME IN THE COCONUT!'.

  • @TheGNARLYPRODUCTIONS its because of that movie with sandra bullock called Practical Magic, she belongs to a family of witches and they sing that song in it when they all get possessed by a spirit... at least thats the only thing i can figure.

  • @TheGNARLYPRODUCTIONS Put the Lime in the Cocnut was used in the film 'Practical Magic'.

  • beautiful xx

    blessed be xx

  • So, not pagan... but I'm a music lover... I've always had a fascination with this bands chant songs. Beautiful voices.

  • Blessed be my sister

  • In that it hurts none, do as ye will.

  • Well answered Donniegerrad and i agree, but i think there are people out there that asked the questions but dont really hear the answer , as all they really want to do is ruffle feathers

  • @donniegerrard we dont need to blame it on anything. go to the Earth is my mother (witches chant) vid and i have a comment there. i think it might answer you questions

  • Wow. The fast flashing of images is sort of like sending subliminal neopagan messages. I have to respect that.

  • happy belltain

    its not evil its beautiful

  • happy belltain

  • I don't worship any of these specific Goddesses as a Christopagan, but I still love this song for some reason. It's undeniably one of the most relaxing chants I've ever heard, and very well sung as well. Blessed be.

  • @2stepsfromalbino There are so many names for the goddess an for the god too. For centuries every civilization have called them in diferents ways, but there is a only God, with the femenine and masculine aspect.

  • @2stepsfromalbino christopagan LMAO!!!!

  • this is evil.

  • @KaylaRose432 No its not. :)

  • @KaylaRose432 The devil exist for you because you believe in him. The wiccans like me, don't believe in Satan.

  • @KaylaRose432 They are only names of goddesses. They are good in the wiccan culture. They cant be that evil if you care to listen and comment =] x

  • @KaylaRose432 no its not evil, your just ignorant and misinformed as is most of society these days!

  • I'm a beginning Wiccan. I love this song, it's so relaxing. It was

playing at one of the circles I went to.

  • This is really beutiful I am slightly wiccan but I hope to become more involved as I grow up as I am still quite young to understand the full meaning of this belief

  • @WiccanChickJaden

I hope not - because they aren't. The oen that shows up for Kali is Tara.

  • I like the fact that the Goddess Tara is shown every time it says Kali. Still, lovely video and I adore the song.

  • it's SO beautiful. i'm not wiccan, but i started studying about it and i can stop listening to it.

  • 0.35 im happy that we have a statue just like that here bessings from indiana

  • I am part Wiccan. I fall asleep to this. I love it

  • i wish i grew up as wicca. i think my life would hve been better

  • @donniegerrard Y'know what? KEEP YOUR HATE-MONGERING CRAP TO YOURSELF! The world's messed up enough without hatemongers like you spreading hateful LIES about a perfectly decent religion!

  • @ChaoticVideoCrazy Just take it with a grain of salt. :) We have to take the good with the bad.. Balance, in every walk of life. :) May Yggdrasil protect your footfalls in this unstable world.

  • @Qwentux did Yggdrasil protect all those people who die of cancer? Did Yggdrasil protect rape victims and molestered children? What about the hundreds of thousands of people who die from "mother" earths natural disasters every year???? If this Yggdrasil is meant to be our protector then its seriously slacking off and has been for a very long time.

  • @donniegerrard We are products of nature, we will survive as we always have. If you do not wish to be subject to the natural ways of the world, live where your bubble of ignorance will keep you safe.

  • @Qwentux what kind of stupid answer to my questions was that? Thats like Christians who say "god moves in mysterious ways" when I ask them the exact same questions. Cop out in its purest form.

Again....where was Yggdrasil when all those people are killed by the very nature they claim to be apart of and worship? Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc....the greates terrorists on earth.

  • @Qwentux and if we are products of nature and come from the Goddess or Tree or what ever natural entity you claim created us all.....that creator is responsible for ALL pedophiles, all illnesses and most interesting.....all the other religions and cults. What does the "divine" like so much about pedophilia that it was encoded into certain peoples desires? Bible thumpers will blame Satan, what do pagans and wiccans blame it on?

  • @donniegerrard Look, I don't know what being a wiccan or a pagan means, but I DO know is that you're not going to convince anybody of anything. I respect that you don't believe in God or anything like that. That's your opinion. Now GO AWAY, find a video you like, and leave us who do believe ALONE.

  • Comment removed

  • @donniegerrard I'm not exactly sure why you are being so hateful and I can't force you to change your way of thinking just like the divine can't. You have free will just like all the other good and bad people out there. And, proven by science, most illnesses where created by us because of our free will. You can't always blame the divine or nature or whatever else because just like its not always your fault when a friend or family member falls and hurts themselves, its not always the fault....

  • @donniegerrard continued... of the divine. And natural disasters are just nature's way of keeping the balance of life and death. If there was no way for us to die earth would be so full of humans it wouldn't be able to be full of anything else and everything else on the earth now has just as much right to live as humans do. The divine did not create religions and cults human's did with our gift of free will. And that gift of free will changes everything and everybody all the time......

  • @donniegerrard continued.... So as to your question, what do pagans and Wiccans blame it on, well I can't speak for anyone but myself on this. For me personally I don't put 'blame' on anything. What happens happens. Its our job to figure out what to do from there.

  • @winglessburst well I guess if it helps people to think that way...then its sure no less valid than the thousands of other belief systems out there. Thanks for answering though, you seem to be the only one who has. Best of luck in your journey.

  • @donniegerrard " What does the "divine" like so much about pedophilia that it was encoded into certain peoples desires? Bible thumpers will blame Satan, what do pagans and wiccans blame it on?

The answer to your question is simple...THE INDIVIDUAL! Whether it's encoded in their desires/dna or not you are still held to the standard that you are responsible for you own actions. Just because you desire something doesn't mean you have to act on it. The responsibility lies with those responsible.

  • @donniegerrard accept that bad stuff happens. rape because of human flaw and natural disasters because that is the way nature is. I don't understand why people have this silly notion that nothing bad should ever happen and that nothing should ever be allowed to hurt humans.

  • This reminds me of the band EARTH CULTURE. Its beautiful

  • this is my five year old girl favorite lullaby

  • Isis Astartè Diana Hécate Deméter Kali, Innana

  • oh a song to some of the uglyist djinn ever other than iblis

  • will you please post lyrics : ) mahalo

  • @cooltomeandu you can see it that way but when you truly think about it, all these Goddesses are all different aspects of the same universal feminine energy.

  • Isis Astarte Diana, Hecate Demeter Kali, Innana

  • @FreakyGal79 Are you sure she sings Demeter? I always thought it was Nuit (nu-EET)

  • @FreakyGal79

    What does that actually mean?

  • @GottaLoveWebkinzlid I believe that is what they are saying.... )O(

  • @GottaLoveWebkinzlid ... they're goddesses. you didnt know that?

  • @LuminusDark

No I didn't. I'm not really Wiccan, I just like the music.

I like all the wiccan stuff though... I just couldn't do the whole thing you know?

  • @GottaLoveWebkinzlid I can't honestly say I'm Wiccan either ;]

But I am really interested in the religion. I hope all wiccans would be acceptive of me because I was born a christian, unfortunately, and I have never had any interest in christianity. I would love to dedicate my life to being a Wiccan.

  • @LuminusDark

Me too, I'm interested in it too.

I've been brought up to love god and jesus and stuff, which I do, but I also beleive something about the wiccan religion.

I'm sort of half in between you know?

I beleive that there is a god and a goddess and Jesus.. is that strange?

  • @FreakyGal79

I thought I heard the goddesses in there..

This is my new favorite youtube song

  • Inkubus Sukkubus sing this

  • i love being pagan i used this chant for my full moon ritual last month

  • szeretem....

  • yeah its not a language its the names of the goddesses i think

  • Does anyone know what language this is

  • i heard this was a protection charm...is this true?i hear a person can only say it once in one roomO.o

  • If I ever make a coven, we will sing this. Blessed Be!

  • @Charnious my coven will sing on Yuletide :) Be Blessed...

  • @MrMidnightOil Where is your coven located?

  • @Charnious Sheesh, I gotta start checking my msgs more often lol. I am HP of the River of Shadows in Ottumwa, Iowa. We are rather small...only about 8 regular members, plus a few guests at times. But for meetings can b as few as 4. We just established ourselves on Samhain 2010! )O(

  • @MrMidnightOil Where is your coven?

  • This chant makes me feel empowered.

  • HAPPY SAMHAIN, to all the children of the godess and god, and my sincere thanks to mother nature

  • love it

i know i'm early but to all happy samhain

    blessed be

  • @gestoordentochuniek Isis, Astarté Diana Hécate Deméter Kali, Innana

  • @gestoordentochuniek than you and blessed be and Isis bless you :)

  • can someone tell me a little more about the God, along with the Godess, because isnt there both? I was not aware of this before, and i would like to know more :) )O( Blessed be

  • @Koterzable The god is referred to in universal form as "The Horned God" ...some of his specific names are Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, and many others. His natural representation is the Sun. He represents that active, whereas the Goddess represents the passive...he is the action, and the Goddess is the motivation for that action...you can see now why both are equally important...what good is action without motivation. And what good is motivation without action?

  • video is amazing, i was drawn to this at a young age i started drawing to pentagram when i was 12 not knowing what it meant, i showed my mother she got a bit angry and told me that it was the "Devils Star" i was confused, it was too beautiful to be anything evil, years later when i'd had enough of the christian god not helping me out when i was attacked by demonic spirits every night, i searched online and talked to friends searching for a religion that could help me, help myself, i found Wicca

  • I love this. Really, i cant explain what this religon makes me.... FEEL. I am much too young to fully understand this religon (only 13), but.... when i think about the goddess, i feel.. loved. I used to be a christian- i cant say im not still, because like i said, i am too young to decide what religon i am, but i am studying wiccan religon. I truly hope that to all of you, you accept me with open arms and the magick and protection of the goddess.

    )O( Blessed be )O(

  • @Koterzable I assure you that you will be welcomed...that doesn't mean you are exempt from criticism, but you will be accepted...and even if you are not, who cares? This religion is about your own spirituality, and not the opinions of others...BE TRUE TO YOURSELF FIRST! Don't look for acceptance, just be yourself and worship as you see fit, those are the most important things. I would just remind you..as i do everyone who seems preoccuied to the Goddess (exclusively) that their is a GOD as well!

  • @Koterzable When you feel like you belong, go with it. I knew that this was my path from the time I was 5. That is a very young age to know also, so embrace what you feel is your path. This life journey is yours and yours alone. Only by exploring the paths that you are drawn to will you discover which one is yours. Blessed be.

  • Could anyone send me the lyrics to this?

  • what is innna the goddess of ? thanks(:

    blessed be)O(

  • HELL IS REAL AND FOREVER !!!

    spiritlessons. com/mary_k_baxter_a_divine_revelation_of_hell. htm

  • @JezusSlave why r u listening to music you don't understand and judging ppl you don't know?

  • @dorene65 wow jezus SLAVE? oh wow... cause that so doesn't say something about them right there.

    evangelical?

  • @JezusSlave hell is a state of mind. Made up to make you do things that will make you believe and or do whatever they want you to do.

please, if you calm down that would help us all. But really you are a christian, and searching pagan music, please respect our music and we most likely in return will respect you even if you are evangelical.

  • So peaceful, and it holds so much power. :) i could listen to this all day!

  • ...

Is it just me, or are there very few masculine Gods out there... Don't get me wrong, Hecate is awesome, but I'd like to be able to honor some dieties of my own gender...

    Blessed be.

  • Blessed Be!

  • is Diana the goddess of the moon?

  • @962crazyray Yes and of the hunt. Selene is really the goddess of the moon, but others (such as myself) consider her goddess as others consider Apollo god of the sun when it's Helios. It really only matters how you look at it.

  • @phoenixgirl39 o ok thanks so much!(:

  • @962crazyray no animals. Hecate was the goddess of the moon

  • This chant is very powerful - I have used it to clear my mind and for protection. I myself practice the Celtic Old Religion, but this chant is one of my favorites. :) May the Old Ones bless thee. )0(

  • Isis, is the egyptian god for woman, pregnancy, ect ect, Astarte is the greek god for woman, pregnancy, fertility and so on, so is Hecate, Demeter, Kali and Innana.

  • @vampirebat321 lol just look at the tags! it's "Isis Astarte Diana Hecate Demeter Kali Innana"

  • I'm being stupid here but i can't quite understand the wOrds i really need lyrics :D it's very beautiful by the way ^-^

  • Astarte? mb Astarta? Baal and Astarta cult?

  • Beautiful

  • luv it -e

  • This makes me lust for more.

  • i am just starting out with wicca magic and im looking for a soul guidance spell can anyone help me.. my friend is dying and we want to reincarnate him as my son! ??? Please help us! anyone?

  • @SARAHLAIDLER I've been practicing for five years and have never heard of such a thing. My understanding is that you (the person who died) choses the course of their next life, so if it is meant to be he will chose you to be his mother and there is no need for a spell. I am very sorry about your friend, and in the meantime recommend chanting and meditation for his well being, or perhaps a spell to restore his health. As far as I know there is no spell to make him your son. Best wishes to u both!

  • @SARAHLAIDLER And please remember that even with the chanting, mediatation, spells etc. there are no gaurantees. Everyone goes when it is their time. Another suggestion I could make is to study rites that will ease his process of crossing over. None of us like to think of a loved one crossing over..it is extremely painful for us. But if it is his time he will go no matter what your actions. Once again though, I wish you both the best and nothing less. Be well! :)

  • @MrMidnightOil Thank you for getting back to me.. We cant thank you enough for your kind words and advice. like is said i am just starting out and want to gain as much information as i can about wicca... this chant is soo beautiful.. :) be well

  • All other things aside, I LOVE this chant! I just found it a few weeks ago and have made it a major part of my daily practice...just beautiful!!

  • this is verry beautiful. i dont mind when the guy starts singing. it shows that women as well as men can be wiccan/pegans. there is also a god in wicca as well as a goddes. men can also worship the goddess as well as women. the singing realy is beautiful

  • i love thisss

  • merry meet, someone knows where can i find this song?
