When they artists do insight footage to their styles and in this case the rhythm section they need to match themselves up with cats that really play in that style..That bass player is not of that style, he can play but his feel in that pocket is not happening !! So if you are watching this to learn how to play these groove , don't listen to the bass because he is not of that time, placement and space from the bass, is what makes the drum patterns work !!

@djmrbrown00 Probably because there's no EQing or valve compression that's gone into it. This was a live recording JB tunes would have been mixed down and mastered
