@excelser He uses a Wacom Intuos 3 or 4 (4 is the latest) . He said that in one of his other vids, Not sure if he uses that in this one but I m sure he still has the Intuos presently. I also use Wacom Intuos 4 I works great. I dont know what sixe he uses but I use medium, the drawing space on medium is 8.8 by 5.5 in. You can go own Wacom's site and see the other sizes. Small, medium, large and XL

I dont know if anyone will read tyhis but, I've been taught to start drawing the face's outline first... is that a "wrong"? cause i'm seeing good stuff like this and done by drawing features then the face.

i'm messing around w/ starting at the eyes now, and i must say that if you get into a habit of doing it, its really good for portraiture if you get good at it. but when it comes to models/pose work its not the 100% best idea.

it just depend on style, i would suggest doing the outline, but more traditional artists just start however .

i think it might have to do w/ what type of face you're drawing, because i am noticing that for reference based portraiture people are usually starting from the eye, while with free hand sketches going by the rules of the average face, people seem to do an outline, well i think i'll just learn em both.

thatsa a good way to go if it works for you, but one of the problems i have with that is that i think after you focus on one aspect of the face you lose the rest, but if you determine the jaw size and angle, then placement of eyes, nose, mouth and ears, youll probably have it better, and then you can focus on shape and detail

=P thats the weird thing about drawing, we all can get good similar results but we have to sometimes approach it differently... each technique is useful but it really depends on which works better for u. I used to like doing it by drawing the face first but now i go from the eye.
