@robibm2003 Thanks for such kind words Sir, I live for tonal quality, there is something more intimate when the fingers pluck the string, rather than a pick, IMHO. I try to make the guitar a voice of tonal characteristics.
@IPOMonster the pentatonic scale with some extended notes, working my way in and out of the scale, with added feel, just goin where the music took me.
Great playing, man. What year's the strat? Is that the 112 Plus alone or you using any pedals or processors? Google "backing tracks," there are plenty. Keep rocking!
Great stuff man. What year's the strat? Is that the 112 Plus by itself or you using any pedals pr processors? Also, advice - look for backing tracks online. You can find just about anything. Keep rocking.
thanks alot my friend, the strat is a 1994, 40th anniversary strat, and yes its the 112 plus by it self NO effects(guitar and Amp is all you need)- thanks for the advice, bless!
great melodic approach to a heartfelt blues structuring, evokes harmony as well as a story being told , i cant help but to think robert cray might have influenced you in some way . . . this is blues personified . impeccable
Thanks for your kind comment my brother, you have a good ear. Groove, melody and harmony combined are important. Robert Cray along with many others ;-)
Awesome Job, Sugar Fingers! I really dig your riffs, and you sound very soulful. I like the jazzy licks and octaves you put in there also. This video is definitely the definition of coolness. : )
Thanks so much for taking the time to send me this video from you! Your performances are so great and this blues number is brilliant! I hope you are having a fantastic week!
Ha yes, World Class Jazz influenced Electric Blues Guitar. Does not get any better than this...anywhere! I use the Texas Specials as well...excellent tone here.
MrJr,...you are outstanding--loved the numerous tones your managed to pull out! amazibng! hope your CD player behaves, next time;-)--it did quiet down, but only at the very end LOL glad to hear ya,.of course will be listening to your other posts! ..
I think Fender would be wise to endorse you.(you have to be famous ,usually, before being 'noticed')You are entitled to hold the 'lofty' ambition on current progress rate.(In my humble opinion) 5/5
I love the playing...very soulful and beautiful phrasing....I would love to hear you play a Gibson Les Paul or Gibson box style guitar. Like Kenny Burell meets Robert Cray!!!
Thanks sky!dog! ohhh man kenny burrell,he has an amazing tone,i love his playin,i'm still trying to understand the concept of the jazz side though, the gibsons i would love to own is a 335 and a B.B.king signature gibson.Other than that,I'm a fender bender all the way.
i like how you put that skydog46, i was thinking the same. man if you get an es 335 or some gibson you would sound even better. but thats some good playing man.
Its comes down to choice, different guitars do different things, their functions differ and can make an individual approach and feel the music differently. If you put a good quality fender guitar in my hand and plug me into a Twin or Super reverb,i can make magic for you.But I do LOVE the ES 335's
My brother, I've missed seeing/hearing you in person. While there's no substitute for the live experience, this is as good a reminder as any of what it means to truly live for and serve the music; to believe in its power to connect us all on our journey through this life; and how much you personify the expression of these deep truths through the medium. Keep keeping it real, bro'.
HEY THERE! I had to stop by and see my your latest blues release....
Sounds totally sweet! I loved it. You're so good at playing ...so good. Five stars, again....saved to faves, again. You're really talented. A natural. Thank you for sharing.
Sweet! I like how you change pickup positions through out.; Nice samplings of the sounds you can get with that strat. You know, I can't be bothered with picks either. Good job, man.
Jesus... What can I say that I haven't already said? You are so beyond everything and everybody I've heard on youtube and in the mainstream. You and fendermac (apple and oranges to be sure) deliver such soulful, gut wrenching blues that, simultaneously, make me want to play and throw away my guitar. I'm a believer. Jesus...
Man I got the chills up my spine, Eddie send me this and glad he did, you got your soul in your fingers, great vibrato technique, fantastic soulful tone, lovely double-stops, real heart and soul in your playing, love it. Now go rush and repair that CD player, visit my channel, tell me what you think of my newest Video"It's Allright" dedicated to Paul Butterfield, greets Victor.
I'm truely greatful for such kind words that you express to me,Its hard to blossom in isolation, but I LOVE the blues and I respect what it gives to me and I try my best to give back to it,I'm just the conduit with which the music and emotions full and i'm glad i could make you feel thats way when you listened.Much respec to you jazzguts
I know you love the "Blues" it's an incredible "ART-form" all a person wants to express comes out that way, I grew up with the Blues and all who you mention as inspirits I know, I have listened to their work, great players who have died for their work, what else can we say? greets Vic.
Thanks eddie, truely appreciate your words,i think of it as in terms of making a good soup, the right seasoning, all the good veggies and not to much salt, just natural from the heart with love
Agonizingly sweet playing. Still in awe of the tonal production you get out of your righthand.
