i fell someone is using my wireless and i think its my neighbour So if i found it it is them i will hack theres go into there computer change all the passes on there pc and fuck there computer up becasue no one AND I MEAN NO ONE GETS AWAY WITH USING MY FUCKING INTERNET
question my neighbor had his wireless router hacked and shutdown thru internet. He cant get it to broadcast any wireless signal and he was told to buy new router to broadcast wireless signal but internet provider. I was using wireless connection for 2 days then his wireless when off line. How to get him back on line??
I have wireless network and I want to set a private password so nobody can access to my connection bu i dont know how it doesn't work I try my admininstration screen but doesn't work
Hmm, any geek out there aware of a way to prevent certain mac addresses from getting an IP from my DIR-655 router? Got some hackers in the neighbor hood who manage to crack my 36 random character long WPA2-personal encryption key. Tried access control, not sure if it's working cause I keep seeing their MAC addresses make their way into my MAC filter list.
@24Midnighttoker i hope ur joking...you do know the sticker on his laptop was made by him right?well, a fan i believe, as im sure youve seen (vid is 2 years old) newer sticker on it now
@Tweekz8up365 On the whole secure everything that can possibly be secured. Including wired connections. Why take the risk? Second, if you do setup a wifi connection at home use WPA or WPA2 security keys. WEP is a joke for security because nowadays anyone can hack a WEP pass-phrase or password in under 10 minutes. Hope this helped. =]
chris you dont help people you just sit at your pc filming just yelling at us that its our fault for slow pc's or shit wifi like in your vista video saying its our fault you know vista is bad even bill gates admitted it when windows 7 came out
Ya'know, me might pay attention to you if you aid Chris, instead of sitting here blaming his advice like a child. If you're not going to help, at least spare use your cunt attitude. We wouldn't be watching his videos if we didn't think he was helping.
It is also correct that Chris helps the general user, or the students of this field. He doesn't try to outdo the professionals.
I Think Chris is a nice dude, everyone quit picking on him, Chris gives us people without knowing anything about PC's a great learning experience.
Keep up the great work Chris, I'm still learning about how to stay safe with a wireless network and I've learned some great tips. It's too bad others can't appreciate the advise.
Yeah well that told me a diddly squat...Next time can you read "itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout" then maybe It would be worth 8 minutes of my life..
Can someone please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time i connect to my network it works and then it just stops working but it says its still connected. and when i try it on my other computer it works just fine. i dont know what the problem is . so can some one help me out pleas
This is a really good video. I enjoyed it. if you need more exposure for your videos check out t u b e v i e w s ( d o t m o b i ) Keep up the good videos and continue to make fresh content.
Good vid, Chris! I think this will help many elderly and dysfunctional people who don't know a thing about wireless networking and need tips on how to do something that takes a normal person 5 minutes.
we have almost twenty different divices connected to our wirless network constantly. 2 destktops, 1 wireless. 2 blackberrys, 2 ipod touchi, a psp, 2 netbooks, 1 apple tv, a wii, a ps3, 3 laptops, an archos 5, a nintendo ds, and there is usually 1 or 2 guests over, therefore adding a laptop, a phone and potentially 1 or 2 other divices.
I have a wifi network I will be researching security especially when my gilfriend gets her laptop but for now All I have connected to it are my PS3 and PSP I can't find Mac Addresses on them so filtering is out where would they be on these devices?
You can usually find them where-ever the network card is. If it's built in, or at the back, the chances are, it'll be on the base of the item, or behind it.
A MAC address is a twelve digit hexadecimal number, so it shouldn't be too hard to point it out. (My printer has it near by a bar code, and it says 'MAC address').
People are too paranoid about security. I don't run an Anti-Virus and I rarely scan for stuff. I do use a wireless and TKIP encryption, but I don't really care. I figure if someone's gonna take the time to hack into my wireless network and steal my internet, good for them.
It is now illegal in the UK to simply log into a wireless network without permission, even one that is unprotected. So far, since the introduction of the legislation a few months ago, there have been several arrests. Most arrests were where a resident spotted someone suspicious in a car with a laptop and called the police or where the police spotted someone.
Use a Nintendo Dual-screen(DS) or a Playstation Portable(PSP) and connect to that "free network" they're gonna be amasd when it sais its not compatible xD
i use a wired connection even though i am 100ft from a wireless router (thats right, i hardwired into a wireless network) i did this because at that range it causes games to lagg up really badly. this makes me not lagg, but everyone else sees me as lagging. after they get pissed off at me because i jump around, they ban me from their server. thus, wired FTW
