Yeah it's a hard boss to take out, and if you don't have the Spark Mandrill weapon it's practically impossible lol ^^ - But I saw a few videos where they can take him out with only the X-buster as well.

I can understand that you like him much, because he can be of some good and interesting challenge, and I'm rather in the same spirit of trying to challenge myself, when playing video games :). But against him I could never figure out just how to hit him with the X-Buster shot lol ^^.
Impossible no. Very hard, maybe. Due to a bug in my Rom, I took this guy out(and a large chunk of the bosses in the game actually), armorless. He was my 2nd or 3rd boss whom I defeated without realizing his weakness weapon the first time.
You're right this game is maybe the best Megaman ever done, at least on SNES and PS (MMX series continued on PS 'til the 8th IIRC) - And many thanks to you!

megaman 1 is the megaman maverick hunter x in psp...they only fix the grapics..
