I love how the Fellowship of the Ring and the return of the king are connected musicwise. FotR works like a bit of a preview of RotK, an Return of the King glances back towards the beginning. Beautiful work by Howard Shore.

The beauty that Howard shore puts in his music breath taking whether it's reminds you of good things as I do or the sound of the music takes you to a diffrent place it makes me feel like I can be so much better than what I am it makes me feel like I have a greater prepuce it shows me How far I've come and it tells me where I need to go. Just listening to one of the songs reminds me why I started reading jrr tolkens books and why I love the movies of the lord of the rings and the music

I'd take an axe to the head just for the chance to fight along side honorable and worthy elves and men. Feanor before he messed up, Earendil, Beren, Felagund, Turin Turambar, Fingon, Fingolfin, Tuor, Hurin, Huor, Gil- Galad, Elrond, Aragorn just to name a few :'). A lot of them had grizzly ends, but they were honorable and strong.

On the "trilogy or not" discussion: It was Tolkien's publisher that split his novel into three parts (though you can find single volume copies if you look). The Hobbit will be split between 2 films, but I wouldn't consider "the Hobbit, part 2" a sequel. On similar reasoning, I consider LOTR (the novel) one 'book'. Call it a trilogy if you like though! A rose by any other name...
