This is the first time I've heard this version. Has a bit of a Latin beat to it starts out a bit like Dartin Denny's "Quiet Village" way down there on the bass side of the piano. This has to be a versatile song bing Crosby did it his way. The Everly Brothers did a faster version using an echo chamber (I think) and this version. All three have a lot to be said for them. All are great thank you for the post Love this version. I like Everly Brothers version best myself.
@aceshigh130 I think the Como version was the big hit. Love this version, though. This one alone, with its unique arrangement, isn't locked into any particular date.
I'm so glad you posted this. I heard it years ago on a radio station and never forgot it. Never was able to find it anywhere, never heard it again... until I found it here.
i love this song but never knew the sandpipers sang it, very nice

The Everly Brothers' version is so much better.

Our HS band played an arrangement of this as the Homecoming Queen candidates
were driven around the FB track in El Caminos & El Rancheros. How classy they all
looked!

@Actrjay Same here, never heard this version - but nothing, NOTHING, beats the Bing Crosby version from Going Hollywood!
