Yeah, we recently got this in our lunchroom at work, my friend got a high score of 61XXX and we were trying to find the highest scores later that day and the highest we could find is 58k-59k. Later that day he got 63k >.>
That is true. I just didn't think this video would, since I did not realize how popular the game is! Check out my other videos, I have several other games too.
I got to upload my Arari 2600 and MAME arcade collection. All I have is Track & Field, attempting to do a 2 player game by myself. The field events are easy, but the one-on-one, Hurdles especially, difficult. (Hurdles is more of a trainwreck, actually.)
Challenging? If you're a Mega-Genius, it would be. It just proves (Hurdles) that the brain cannot multitask the same thing simultaneously, unless things are perfectly matched. Otherwise, it all goes to hell. :)
Thanks haha, that is my most popular video and a classic memory for me. Publicly it has nearly 20,000 views. When I looked at the private statistics (Youtube does not show accurate numbers for some reason), it is nearly at 67,000 views. Good times indeed.
Very crappy indeed. It seems that only the Youtube parters (aka Youtube super popular people) have accurate view counts on their videos. Also, the partners are allowed to upload copyrighted content without risk of punishment.
I know of some YT Partners that have to change how they do things, because the penalties for copyrighted content are more severe. In your case, SONY just wants to make money off your video, if their material was used, incidental, or not. No strike against you. WMG, on the other hand, will kill the audio is their stuff was used, and I believe that DOES count against you.
Really? I have seen several cases of Youtube users who have tens of thousands of subscribers and are allowed to upload copyrighted songs without penalty on their channel. yes WMG is rather atrocious and stringent about their content.
Yes you are correct. I remember the good old days back before Youtube got bought out by Google. Back then, Youtube did not really monitor copyright infringement.
Some of the newer stuff isn't so bad. It used to be if you were caught, you're busted. Now Google gives the option for what to do. WMG is the worst, as they mute the audio, and you get a strike. SONY understands incidental capture, or unintended use, so they just flag your video to simply display the song title, and generates revenue off your video, with no strike against you.
Google HAD to act, because these companies are/were suing them.
Oh I did not know that. I never had any copyright issues in the pre-Google days. I do understand now why google has to do something about it, I just do not like it.
hey!!! what's the name of the song when you get a game over

This has to be the closest to the arcade game, without being an exact copy.
NICE RUN!! You clipped out the start of the race, though, and what you qualified for.
I have the actual game (MAME), and others, have the actual cabinet game (even better!).
georgef551 1 year ago
I can't remember which race this was. Thanks for the compliment! I cannot believe this video has nearly 6,000 views!

I can. Some of these video game videos tend to rack up the views.

@BrettH123
I use the ACOUNT page. It seems to coincide with the actual view counts on the individual video pages.
georgef551 1 year ago
Ah yes that is what I go by also. You mean that you use the account page for an accurate view count on your videos?
BrettH123 1 year ago
@BrettH123
Yep.
The other pages use "Agregate Data", which is a crappy sampling, usually understating actual counts.

@BrettH123
There is the "Fair Use Law", which allows people to use 30-second clips, or if in large quantities, or whole, is a documentary or news related video.
Either those are the conditions, or those Partners haven't been caught yet breaking the law.
georgef551 1 year ago
Ah okay I didn't know those specifics. I have seen partners upload 4 and a half minute music videos from popular musicians.
BrettH123 1 year ago
@BrettH123
They either got permission, or they are in a "world of hurtz" if the owners find them.
Some people just don't bother reading the copyright information....

Loved this game. Played it in the arcades as a kid "prepare to qualify!"
...hope it gets re-released on Microsofts "Game Room" service in the future, wouldn't mind being able to play this game with leaderboards and such.

It is called "My Spirit Will Go On" by Dragon Force. Such an epic rock song, and works well for many video games.
Check out some of my other videos.
