I almost love this better than the vocal version because it seems to convey more emotion. While the vocal version was an apology from older brother to younger brother, this version is sort of like...a journey coming to an end. A very long, very hard struggle, and it all accounted for nothing, but no one's giving up yet.

Beautiful song. It always reminds me of the sad parts in FMA. No matter what anyone says, I will love Fullmetal Alchemist forever. It has a special place in my heart. Even on my death bed, I will think of this song and smile because of all the hardships it represents. This song isn't just for the anime, in my mind. It tells us all something -- that even though life is tough, there can always be that light at the end of the tunnel.
