  • It's surprising that a low-budget B-picture would boast such an A-rate composer and score. Typically, the fastest way to spot a low-budget movie is by its cheap music. (Because marquee composers and full orchestras are so expensive, this is often the first cost skimping producers will spare.)

  • No...I'm not making fun of this score. I was pointing out the similarities. Jerry Goldsmith has ALWAYS, ALWAYS, reuses his scores better than JAMES HORNER - a composer that reuses his EXACT score in different movies. James Horner really annoys me when he reuses his music and doesn't even take the time to arrange it. LOL

  • LOL I can tell Jerry Goldsmith did this! It sounds a little like a combination of "Explorers" and "Leviathan" -- Two great scores!

  • @Donovan448 where? I don't hear "Leviathan" at all really.

  • @IliveinMA listen to 1:50 - 2:20 here. Then, search for Leviathan(1989) [3/10] and listen at 5:30 to 6:30. The trumpets were replaced by strings, but I like both versions.

  • The mountain of diamond exploded at the end.

The strategy of German Empire and Turk failed by the activity of Quatermain.

    Happy End.

  • music that is much better than the film it was made for

  • This is what I have been waiting for! Thanks for being a true Goldsmith fan!
