it really is remarkable to hear his voice compared to these other musical giants. no one can say Celine, Jennifer H, Carrie U or Usher have small voices, but they honestly disappear when placed side to side with MJ. Michael had specifically stated before his death that he has "a great admiration for Carrie Underwood".
So, when they asked Carrie to perform a tribute, of course she said yes. Quite honestly, I'm proud that they respected Michael's admiration for her and asked her to sing. I'm sure it would have made him proud as she really brought some variety and added flavor by lifting the performance with her vocal talents on her lines.
Even after His death He is still getting standing ovations. It would be nice if all those people attending the ceremony would REALLY get MJ's message in that song. I doubt there were more than a handful of them that are as spiritual as MJ was.

it really is remarkable to hear his voice compared to these other musical giants. no one can say Celine, Jennifer H, Carrie U or Usher have small voices, but they honestly disappear when placed side to side with MJ. There is one telling moment, where they show Will I Am, and his face says it all..he is like: they are being massacred by MJ post mortem, lucky Im not there. MJs voice is softer yet stronger, more soulful while crisper, he wasnt just the dance, its shocking how much better he is.

Why was Carrie here? This was not a random addition.
Michael had specifically stated before his death that he has "a great admiration for Carrie Underwood".
So, when they asked Carrie to perform a tribute, of course she said yes. Quite honestly, I'm proud that they respected Michael's admiration for her and asked her to sing. I'm sure it would have made him proud as she really brought some variety and added flavor by lifting the performance with her vocal talents on her lines.

Even after His death He is still getting standing ovations. It would be nice if all those people attending the ceremony would REALLY get MJ's message in that song. I doubt there were more than a handful of them that are as spiritual as MJ was.
