I do not think that Rafa, Roger and Nole are friends, but working professionals that have mutual respect for each other. Nole had to learn it the hard way after losing to them in the big stages more than not. Recently all 3 agreed to join the ATP players council to help promote the sport. In the past the top players would not do this b/c of loss of competitive training time. If any one of them refused, then all would have refused. So it was good to see them coming together on this.

Only the top players know the grueling demands in the sport of tennis. They play 11 months per year!
Top tier players respect each other's discipline & mental strength. They know it's nearly impossible to make top 10.
Face it, they start when they are little kids! It takes years and years of training.
The other thing people neglect to recognize is the cultural differences. These guys are all from different countries.

Wow, kidding. I just don't like Rafa, he seems really fake, like he's so "mature" in interviews, and then a complete dick to his opponents on the court. His cocky antics with the fist pumping on double faults just piss me off. Novak at least has class and doesn't cheer at innappropriate times.

I don't how closely you follow tennis, but if you do follow it closely, you'll know that Rafa is very well liked and respected. All the commentators and writers talk about how humble and simple he is. if you followed tennis, you'd know that Djokovic is the one lots of people are pissed of at. How could Fed have mono then. Did he cheat on his girlfriend? I always think mono is sexually transmitted disease or only people who are promiscuous get mono. I could be wrong.
I am wondering why Nadal cannot stop doing that wedging thing. If his underwear is not comfortable, change it. Rafa has a habit of pulling his pants since he was a child. He said that he's trying to get rid of it. This days he doesn't do it as much, so it seems like poor Rafa is trying to stop it. Some people find it sexy. Roddick pulls the top of his t-shirt, etc. Djoko bounces the ball "a million times" lol they all have their ticks!

Thanks for your info. I have been concentrating on graduate school for the past several years. Last time I was following tennis closely, Gustavo Kuerten was placed No 1. Since you are a Graduate student, I bet you understand. Which school are you going to now? I went to LSE. French Open is my first time in years to watch tennis and I was amazed by Rafael, by his pulling his pants every 10 seconds. What can I say, I am compelled to love him; however, Gustavo is still the love of my life...

Nadal has more class in one finger than Djoko could ever have in his whole body! Nadal is admired and respected because he says very litle about himself but a lot good things about other players. He known for having perfect manners. Djokovic speaks good english while Rafa doesn't but even with his very basic english he comes across as the polite and NATURAL person he is.

The point is that profesionals consider the winner of Garros+Wimbledon as the No1. Rafa has won more matches than anyone else this yr. he has also won more titles (inc. Grand Slams) than anyone else. He has also won the umbelievable double (Garros-Wimbledon) in the same yr which only the best in history have done. AND he has won on ALL surfaces. AND consecutive 32 matches WHO ON EARTH HAS DONE THAT??
