Jeff Loomis and Michael Romeo really deserve to be on a list like this. MAB and Paul Gilbert shouldn't, they're musical horizons are much broader than neo-classical metal and they revolve too much around other stuff to make it on a list like this. Vinnie Moore should be higher, he is amazing, but Yngwie definitely deserves that top spot. He was the first full fledged neo-classical metal guitarist, and while he has NEVER evolved at all, he is still the king of what he does.
